I usually don’t write reviews but this is my new favorite place! The atmosphere is great for a glass of wine and lunch out with friends. The chipotle black bean burger is so yummy and the thin fries are delicious! The service was very friendly and attentive. Give this tavern a try when in Northport. I will definitely be back :)

So far the drinks and atmosphere are very nice, our server Geena has great energy… watch her face when you order, you can’t go wrong! From the parking lot and reading reviews I laughed at a review about their mac and cheese, I take it back… this stuff is the«MAC-DADDY of mac & cheese» the soup of the day, jalapeño potatoes leek is off the hook. These muscles are Boss! We are very much looking forward to brunch and seeing their intro to live music 2÷18÷16 for Happy hour 4 – 7 daily

When I saw that the vacant building had been renamed«Seven Quarts Tavern», I had visions of a great Gastropub in Northport with a country home feel. Not at all what I expected. Let’s start with the obvious: this place is hardly a tavern. In fact, I believe the bar itself was only about 10 – 12 ft long, and maybe had 6 stools around it. Not terrible impressive. I had thought that perhaps they had done a renovation of the building and had added a much larger bar and was disappointed to see that this was not the case. The problems that have plagued this establishment before will continue to be problematic now: it’s too crammed in here. They could have/should have had a longer bar along the long wall on the right as soon as you walked in, and loaded the first floor with high tops. This would have maximized the space and given them the opportunity to truly be a tavern. We were sat upstairs where we were literally seat back to seat back with everyone else in the space. It was ridiculously loud, you could hardly have a conversation at the table. Our waitress was quite pleasant and was attentive to our needs, which was nice. They had a pretty nice craft beer menu. The only problem was, they didn’t have a lot in stock on the night that we were there. In fact, the only beer I really wanted, Cigar City from Tampa, was out of stock. I’m not quite sure how a new establishment trying to make a name for itself doesn’t have more than enough on hand when trying to make a good first impression. Not a good sign out of the gate. This place has a menu that prints money, based on the fact that you get very little for what you pay, in terms of appetizers. A $ 15 app barely pleases two people, and they do not offer bread at the table. The kitchen tends to be slow, which I assume is because of the size, and you are left hungry while you wait for the rest of your meal. Our meal came out, and we each had the burger. The burger was very good, as were the fries(or frittes, because that is what bars call french fries evidently). The burger was pricey at $ 20, and if I wanted fried onions, that would have run me $ 5 more. I decided to pass. The cook on the burger was perfect, and it was well seasoned. The problem with this place stems from a lack of identity and an overly expensive menu of mostly«small plates». It is hardly a tavern, and rather a high end idea trying to be a dive, and it fails at doing so. The food is good, no question, but when I can go down the road to Robke’s and get a meal just as good for half the price, I’m not inclined to return anytime soon. I would go back, when I’ve exhausted the other options locally. It’s the«I haven’t been here in a while» place, and unfortunately, that just doesn’t work if you are trying to open a restaurant and keep it afloat. The food is good, just not good enough to keep me or my money coming back on a regular basis.

Brunch was delicious!!! Great short rib hash and eggs, French toast and bloody mary! The rest of the lunch menu looked goods so we’ll be back.

Top-notch dining! Food was sophisticated yet approachable and very well made and presented. Atmosphere and service was awesome. Ahi Tuna entrée was incredible. Save some room for the deserts because the apple pie burrito was worth the extra calories. Great selection of wines and craft beers. We will definitely be going back on a regular basis. Great job to everyone.

I’ve been here at least 5xs. Great beer selection and food selection. There is something for everyone. Foodie galore! They don’t use cheap ingredients. You get what you pay for. this is not Friday’s. Other comments posted with low ratings must be by people who frequent nappers or croxlys. It’s definitely an adult atmosphere. try it out if you like a large selection of creative dishes.

Simply stated, We are definitely going back. Great atmosphere, really nice look throughout. The food was excellent, we all enjoyed many appetizers and a fantastic steak entrée. After dinner we continued to have a great time, a short talk with manager brian was fun and interesting. The suggestions of drinks were spot on. SEVENQUARTSTAVERN is shure to be enjoyed by all, they really seem to care alot about your experience.

I went to Seven Quarts Tavern on a Sunday for brunch and sat at the bar. I must say, for a high end restaurant, their brunch/lunch prices are very reasonable. The bartender was very tentative and knowledgeable about my questions regarding the food and drinks. I ordered a french onion soup, which was to die for! The cheese was a perfect ratio to soup and the flavor was definitely there! Then I had a CHICKENFABPANINI. This had Grilled Chicken, Fig Jam, Granny Smith Apples, Arugula, and Brie, on Rosemary Focaccia, and wow was it good! The chicken was perfectly shredded and the combination of sweetness from the apples and fig jam combined with the chicken and brie was delicious. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! I highly recommend going to Seven Quarts for Lunch! I cant wait to try dinner one day soon!

New place that has major kinks to work out. We found plastic in the salad! It was so cold we had to wear jackets. And we complained about both and neither was resolved. It made the good food leave a sour taste and won’t return.

Came here last night for restaurant week with a couple of friends and my experience was meh. First, it is insane how loud it is. The only way to talk to your friends or to the waitress was to literally shout across the table. But let’s get to the heart of the matter; the food. I started with the pork belly appetizer, the pork belly itself was yummy and tender but it was drenched in BBQ sauce. The sauce tasted like sweet baby ray’s with cranberries, it was all i could taste. It was also sitting on top of a bed of sweet potato fries which made the entire dish very one note, and that note was sweet as hell. For the second course my friend and I decided to share the signature hamburger and the the short rib. The burger was slightly over cooked, and there was too much bread to meat. It wasn’t the worst burger but I definitely had better at Zinburger. My short rib was okay. It was not tender, and took a lot of chewing to put down. My favorite part was the mashed potatoes. For dessert I got the banana betty parfait, which was good but I could only eat a couple of spoonfuls for fear of getting diabetes. Overall, it was okay. It wasn’t terrible, but once was enough for me.

The food was good. And that is all it was. Went for restaurant week because I was skeptical of the quality for the price and we were right. While the meal was enjoyable the food was at times missing strong flavors. Well prepared but I doubt I would return and pay full price for any of the entrées.

Wow!!! First and foremost the FOOD is Amazing! One of the best pieces of meat I have ever had! And the design? So modern and so innovative! Lastly, the service was impeccable! A young man named Francesco was on par the whole evening! To top it all off, the owner Brian was so happy to be there and left a remarkable impression on my table! Amazing!

Unilocal deleted my long review :(. Probably for the best; it was wordy. Here are the highlights: Service is a mixed bag. My french fries never came(I ordered them as a separate side, since I got an appetizer as an entrée), and I ended up telling the waitress not to bother with them. I had to ask for a drink refill. A special soup(the Oktoberfest) that was enthusiastically described by the waitress as being«filled» with bacon and potatoes and cheese had almost NONE of those ingredients. The food is okay; it’s not at the level of what I expect from a gastropub. The soup was disappointing(see above), the duck legs were nothing to write home about, I tried my friend’s fries since mine never came; they’re shoestring fries, not my favorite anyway, but these still lacked crispness and flavor. We liked the tuna tartare and the Mediterranean plate, which I have to say was generous with the pita(so many places aren’t). The banana pudding was a straight up lie: the waitress described it as layered with cream and nilla wafers. Neither of those things featured, instead it was a layer of berries. Um. False advertising much? I don’t like berries, and I didn’t really eat it. The place is loud; we were sat on time for our res, upstairs(the restaurant is a converted house). Not only is it loud, but they turned on music at one point. I’m getting old and fuddy I guess, but while I don’t need a quiet restaurant, I would like to hear the conversation in which I’m trying to participate. Finally, they force you to use valet parking; fine, but at the end of the night, they just handed us the keys. So they make you use it, you’re tipping them, and… they hand you your keys and point to the car? Seven Quarts has some work to do.

As I reflect back on the fact that I spent $ 25 for an average burger, I’m realizing that the pretentious-pub trend is one from which I plan to veer away. My friend and I ordered the tuna tartare and Mediterranean plate for appetizers, and I thought they were quite tasty. The soup had flavor, but was thin, and, as I said, the burger was just a regular burger with shoestring fries. I ordered the cheesecake for dessert, and it was fine, but nothing special. This place would prove more appealing if the quality of the food matched up with the prices. What’s wrong with a good old-fashioned pub? What is the big deal about short ribs in a burger when you can’t taste them? Our waitress was very sweet; however, the noise level in the restaurant was, well, out-of-control. This place needs to make up its mind about the vibe it wishes to exude. The fact that it’s a converted house seduces you into believing a charming, inviting atmosphere awaits you, but then you are thrown into a space that is more akin to your corner sports bar, in terms of noise level anyway. Also, a pub with ample parking does not need to require valet. When we walked out of the restaurant, my car was a whopping 10 feet from the last step.

I can’t wait to go back! The food, the staff, and ambience definitely deserves 5stars! I don’t know about the previous reviews, but sound was not an issue when we were there for dinner. The atmosphere was vibrant and fun, just what is needed around here.

4.5 stars. beautiful renovation(though loud on a Friday night). Husband’s steak was a bit pricey but cooked perfectly and delicious, the mac n’ cheese was ridiculously good, and dessert was scrumptious. The wait staff was very helpful and concerned about us enjoying our meal. Nice addition to the area.

What an amazing meal from the kale salad to the mussel pot to the short ribs and everything in between, the beers were cold and the place was vibrant and beautifully renovated it seemed. Can’t wait to go back Head chef Dave really has created an amazing menu and a talented staff working behind him. Would suggest this place to anyone that enjoys their food!!!
