The silly name should have been a clue this place wasn’t serious about BBQ. The ribs were fatty, the chicken was dry and the mac & cheese was just awful. If you’re looking for some good BBQ… keep looking

Was good when it was Nick’s place, now not good at all, clearly cut down on quality in favor of profit

This restaurant is an extension of Batata Café which is one of the best eateries out there. Great Paninis and soups, just a must try if you are ever in Northport. The Mobster is my favorite!

Highly recommend. Attention to detail. You know a place is great when the $ 3.95 side salad has three different colored peppers, sliced grape tomatoes, peeled cukes and homemade amazing dressing(sesame ginger). We ordered two days in a row, chili, ribs, spinach salad, pulled chicken quesadillas. Service was fast. Everything was made with TLC, thank you! Kids menu is great too!

Macadoo’s and Batata Café are connected and you can get some of the awesome food that is served at Batata after it is closed by ordering at Macadoos. Wings, hot– Good Standard wings Jerk seasoned fries– Delicious!!! MMMM Cobb salad — same as at Batata, Awesome I love Batata Café and now Macadoo’s. They both have great service and delicious food!

Macadoo’s is not nearly as good as its predecessor, Smoking Sloe’s. We ordered takeout tonight, and my husband left to pick it up about 10 minutes after we called it in. When he arrived back(after a 5 minute car ride), I opened the takeout container and discovered my ribs were cold. I had asked for extra barbecue sauce, and it appears that whoever was working in the kitchen has never heard the rule of keeping«hot foods hot and cold foods cold.» Cold barbecue sauce was poured over my ribs, which were likely not that hot in the first place. I called to complain and the girl answering phones was very sweet, offering us a credit. We won’t be ordering from them again so I declined. I told her that whoever is in the kitchen needs to be smarter about how they serve their food. Btw, their baked beans are terrible(undercooked and fairly flavorless) and their coleslaw is mediocre at best. My husband says his pulled pork sandwich was also cold, but tasted okay. The final nail in the coffin? They don’t even serve Coke or Pepsi products on the soda fountain. They serve«cola,» «diet cola,» «lemon lime,» and«root beer» at $ 1.95 a pop. It tasted so terrible that my husband didn’t even bother drinking it. Save your money and skip this place.

Cheap BBQ and Burgers. WORST drink selection EVER! You can’t even get seltzer.
