Third time here… Time for a review. This is one of those, don’t judge a book by the cover places. Launderland Wash & Dry is at the end of a debunked strip mall. It’s the only ship left next to an abandoned nail salon, cleaners, and produce shop. Parking is great, lots of spots close enough you won’t have to haul your laundry too far. The first time I came was on a Friday and I was the only one there! The second time was a Thursday afternoon. One person was leaving when I was starting and two more people came when I was folding. Third time is a Sunday and there are four other patrons here, but still plenty of machines available! Hours open at 6am and closes at 9:30pm, but signage indicates the last was at 8:30pm. This laundromat uses the card method for payment. Which, at the beginning, I wasn’t too excited about because if you don’t use all the money loaded on the card, you’re stuck with a card you have to use here. But, after using the service a couple times its actually nicer and faster. Plus, they give a bonus when you load the card. $ 5=$ 5.25 /$ 10=$ 10.75 /$ 20=22!!! That’s an extra two dollars everytime you put $ 20 on the card. Weee! Now, when you get your first card they charge $ 2, but if you load $ 20 you get it right back, so that’s the way to go… In my opinion. Trust me, after using the machines, you’ll be back. Fyi — the sign on the wall says insert $ 1 single bill, but it’s wrong you’ll need two single dollar bills… The attendant apologized and said they will get it updated soon. I find this location well maintained, clean, Cool(that makes a difference… No one wants to do laundry especially in a hot laundromat!), and the machines are good quality. The price per load is on par with other ‘mats in the area. All the times I’ve been here there has been an attendant stopping in to clean filters and floors. They have a four game video console, claw machine, and vending machine with snacks, drinks(warm cans), and detergent accessories. The laundromat card doesn’t work in these machines, and they don’t have a change machine so bring extra change if you want to use them. There are 15 single load washing machines at $ 1.50 each. There are 5 double load washing machines at $ 1.75 each. There are 13 triple load washing machines at $ 2.75 each. There are 4 six load washing machines at $ 5.75 each. There are 2 eight load washing machines at $ 6.95 each. And 36 large family dryers at $.25 for 12 minutes on high. For best results I recommend splitting a single load into two dryers at 24 minutes on high. So, to dry a single load it’ll cost you just $ 1!!! Unheard of! If it’s a smaller load it may cost you less, but why risk ending with wet clothes and having to add more time later. :) There are four long folding areas split into four sections and 8 or so rolling laundry racks/baskets. Benches for sitting and a sink. There are never paper towels in the dispenser, so be forwarded. There are two televisions and all the times I’ve been here one was on Spanish language television and the other was on English television. For a non-Spanish speaker, this is a nice and unusual luxury. The reason I marked off a star is because there is a bathroom, but it’s locked. I wish they had a pay on entry or deposit on entry bathroom. Too many other lower quality laundromats offer a restroom, that I think this one should offer one too. But then again, maybe that’s whay keeps this one nice. Hmmm. Anyway, I’ve had to go across the street to the Wienerschnitzel to use the restroom before. And FYI they have a key for customers only.

Excellent Laundromat for washing your cloths. I used the Medium size front loading machine for $ 2.75, it ran for a total of almost 30 minutes. That’s almost twice as long as the 15 minutes I get at Bloomfield and Centralia on the same size machine at the same price. Hopefully my cloths will clean better with this extra time. The Dryers are not as hot on the highest setting. Place is average cleanliness. Could use air conditioning and some free Wi-Fi. If you want your clothes cleaner for more bang for the buck. I would recommend this place. Not sure about the area being safe during evenings as I came around the afternoon. I was the only customer for the first 30 minutes before more people showed up. The lady that work there was very helpful. Will be coming back again soon.

Shady location in Norwalk across from the swapmeet, probably best to visit during the day. Cheap washers and dryers, fast and efficient.

I’ve never had to use laundromats until a couple of years ago. My friend recommended this place and I’m glad she did! It’s really clean and better yet I don’t have to carry a bag of quarters with me because it’s all done with those electronic cards. I highly recommend this place to anyone thats looking for a laundromat! Well the only thing I don’t recommend is for ladies to come by themselves in the evening. The area is a little sketchy.
