My kids always loved the pizza. It smells great and looks great. I sneak a bite or two here and there and it really is good. The kids order it plain, which is the best way to judge a pizza. Solid, very solid.

OK Pizza, also the only pizza place in Rowayton. Never order delivery not going to explain why but if you do you will understand.

As you can see by his bizarre and lengthy diatribe, Joe has a real issue accepting any sort of blame. Truth is he did refund us. It took a few days to come through but it did happen. Truth is he did hang up on my wife. Truth is if he doesn’t think that he can deliver to us in a timely manner then he really shouldn’t offer the service. Truth is the reason his restaurant got«torpedoed» is because Joe doesn’t think he did anything wrong. Oh well, there’s a ton of other places selling the same thing Joe sells. We won’t be «swinging by» to pick up your food, because if I want to go out of my way for pizza/pasta, we much prefer Tarry Lodge. I wish this could’ve been worked out but unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be the case. Sorry that you feel Unilocal failed you Joe, maybe a good long look in the mirror and a decision to start accepting responsibility would help. UPDATE: We have now been charged again out of nowhere by Rowayton Pizza. Guys please keep this in mind that the owner Joe has now held on to our debit card number to only recharge us again for the money he said he refunded us. Joe, you keep the money as its obvious you need it more than I do. I cannot believe that such practices are going on here. If you don’t want to go through the hassle that I’m currently going through and canceling your debit card over a guy with an axe to grind go elsewhere. Planet Pizza isn’t good pizza, but you don’t have to worry about them stealing from you.

They take their sweet time making the food, but the pizza is pretty great.

My family has taken out food from here practically every Friday night for the past 35 years. The current iteration of this family operated gem is the best yet! Amazing authentic Italian dishes and pizza. And trust me, I’m 100% Italian, I grew up in New Haven… I know good Italian food

WOW! Consistently pleasing. All of the food I have ever ordered has been nothing short of delicious. You can taste the quality and freshness of the product. Nice variety on the menu, timely deliveries and friendly staff. I am impressed, kudos to the owner.

Love this place and their food! The pizza is delicious and the crust — perfection! It was so good that I order a margherita pizza to take home for my husband to try and he devoured it! The staff is friendly and attentive and I love that you can sit outdoors when the weather is nice. Definitely a must try!

This little gem in the heart of Rowayton is truly magical. I love the food because it’s always fresh, in season and super innovative. If you’re looking for a truly authentic Italian pizza, look no further. This place has really set itself apart from other restaurants that claim to offer authentic Italian pizza. The crust is out of this world delicious. It’s not bland and airy. It is packed with flavor and has a slight chewy-crispness that I personally love. While they make great authentic and classic stuff, there are some items on the menu that sound truly unique and brave. I can’t wait to go back. I haven’t been disappointed yet. Also, I tried their gluten free pizza and it’s great! I have to say I prefer it plain and when it first comes out of the oven though. Still good but not great the next day. So gobble it up hot! If you like a cozy, friendly atmosphere with great food and even live music, this is the place for you!

Great pizza! Really good taste but you gotta eat it hot! Had a really hard time getting the right food delivered for a while though! + We opened an account and they would wait months before charging my card random amounts?! Closed it up and had to boycott for a while! but the quality paninis and great pizza has us still coming back lol we love it! Last few times we ordered it seemed to be more organized and the orders were perfect!

I have been a customer of Rowayton pizza for over 20 years and I have watched the place grow from a small family pizza place into a well established business with great outdoor seating. As one of the locals favorite the place is very busy particularly in the summer when everyone wants to enjoy the nice outdoor seating. You will likely have to wait a bit if you walk in at 7:30PM. That is what happens when you go to a place that serves good food. They are my destination of choice for pizza. I love their new menu and had an amazing pasta few days ago. The owner is the nicest guy and very accommodating. Keep up with the good work guys!

Great and knowledgeable staff, fresh ingredients, and outstanding thin crust pizza. Their salad pizza is my top favorite now. The toppings are so greatly balanced — it’s super delicious!

Rowayton Pizza is an institution in its own right. Quality you can depend on, very nice dine-in options during the fair weather months, and they always seem to offer something for everybody. Time and again you never need question giving them the nod for dinner.

I’ve been a customer of Rowayton Pizza for probably 20+ yrs at this point, and each year it just gets better and better. I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad experience there, whether it comes to the service, the efficiency, or the quality of the food. Although we live in Norwalk, we don’t live in the same neighborhood, so it’s rare that we actually dine in at RP. It can also get super busy during the summer months, because they have a lot of outdoor seating right across from the water, so it’s a popular family spot in town. On the occasions we do opt to eat there, the service has always been very good. As far as the delivery, I don’t know what I would do without the option to order RP at least twice a month… sometimes as much as once a week! I love that their menu has just gotten better and better over time, continually adding creative takeout options, other than pizza. Their sandwiches are really good, with everything from light and fresh paninis to huge grinders for the bigger appetite. They have fantastic salads too, with very fresh ingredients and generous sizes. They have a creative selection of personal pizzas, and of course, their classic plain pie is an old standby at our house, and consistently delicious, no matter what. We freeze our leftovers, and it’s pretty much guaranteed that a few slices can always be found in our freezer. A few minutes in the toaster oven and it’s just as tasty as it is fresh from the box! We do branch out once in awhile, but tend to skip the toppings more often than not, because their pies are really tasty as is. My favorite thing about RP has always been their crust. It’s crispy and flaky, and their pizza sauce is tasty; a perfect balance of not too sweet and not too acidic. Their pizza is not heavily laden with cheese either… it’s just the right amount. Delicious food aside, Rowayton Pizza is an institution in Norwalk. They are very supportive of the community… sponsoring local school projects, sports teams, field trips, and helping support, or run fundraisers that ultimately help improve our children’s schools and extracurricular activities. It’s nice to know that when I’m supporting this excellent local business, it’s being paid forward back into our community! Thanks Rowayton Pizza!

Let me start by saying I love this place. My family and I have been coming here for years and the food is always consistently delicious. They have recently changed the menu getting rid of my favorite dish of Lobster raviolis but I get it! Change is good. Last night I had the Shrimp linguini alfredo and it was
Now the real reason I am writing a review today and only giving 3 stars is because I have to say I am so fed up with the summer vacation, immature, arrogant teenagers that work here. They are incompetent and often very rude. Yesterday there weren’t any napkins on the table and when I asked for some he literally threw a pile of napkins onto the table and walked away. I understand how busy they get, this place is very popular, but sometimes these kids act like you’re an inconvenience to them. One time I had called in for delivery, was placed on hold for 10 minutes and then the girl was so nasty to me for no reason! Another time I called in and after listing my order the girl literally said«ok» and then paused a beat and goes«wait what did you want again?» I kid you not. I understand delivery orders can often get messed up but you should never expect them to. Also once we arrived on a very busy night and there was a 45 min wait to be seated. We were willing to wait, but the hostess seated someone she knew before my family and they had arrived after us! Joe the owner is awesome and super nice. And honestly I know my family and I will continue to come here, but I just wish they would have a good sit down chat with their employees and at least asked them to pretend to care.

Every time I order pizza there the pizza has no sauce! The price is always good though, there are always coupons.

Great pizzas, especially the variety. Pretty awesome service too. We misspoke and accidentally got the wrong pizza, but they promptly served us with the one we wanted, and also gave us a discount for the extra waiting time. Indoor seating inside is limited, but they do seemed to have decent outdoor seating. Highly recommended.

We came across this restaurant just by chance and we absolutely loved the place. It was small cozy space and it will be nice to sit out in the summer. Owner was friendly and very accomodating. There was a communication problem in pizza name, he mistook Sara to be Salad but then immediately had the pizza changed. Pizza was excellent, pesto sauce made a very good alternative to usual marinara. Will definitely visit again.

I don’t normally write reviews but recently I realized how much I rely on these reviews when I go out and how beneficial it is to a business. Being from New York, living in CT, I am always in search of GREAT pizza. My fiancée brought me to Rowayton pizza for the first time a few months ago and I absolutely love the place. The staff was friendly and professional and the owner was very accommodating and very engaged with the customers to ensure quality service. I was not only extremely impressed with the level of service, but the food was absolutely delicious. Rowayton pizza is now my go to spot for pizza and chicken parm(which is just scrumptious). Joe and Staff — Keep up the great work!!! You guys truly understand your customer base and your professionalism is commendable. I hope more businesses take a page from your book.

Joe — you still don’t’ get it. You’re in a customer service business. That night you were hostile and arrogant to me, and you still are. Stop being so defensive and try offering an olive branch — I gave you a big oppty at the end of my first posting. You’ve chosen another path. As for the the facts, I stand firmly by what I wrote: 1. I have lived in Rowayton and Darien since 1989. I have visited your restaurant about every other month for the past 25 years. Including take out in the dead of winter, and at least monthly in the open-air summer months. 2. You NEVER offered my meal gratis. Not even while I stood there awkwardly waiting inside for the waiter to process my refund. And if the pizza you repeatedly claimed was almost ready, that would have been a good time to hand it to me with an apology. 3. I was not in a rush when I arrived. 90 minutes should be plenty sufficient for a weeknight pizza dinner. 4. You did not«escort me out of the restaurant,» — I waited inside for the refund to be processed. Shame on you for continuing your hostility to a customer — whether 25 years or a first timer. You had so many opportunities that evening to treat the customer right and make your busy night’s challenges better. Yet you chose to blame me for your poor service and you still remain hostile. Many of my friends suggested I give you a second chance. Everyone has a bad day. I get that. But you’ve making that idea very hard to swallow.

We ate in and also ordered out, the quality of the food is consistent either way! Their pasta dishes are tasty and well prepared, my favorite The Spaghetti with Broccoli Rabe n Sausage. Pizzas are good, a favorite of mine The Amalfi; clams, bacon, garlic, oil n spices and best of all no sauce, of course it has cheese. Salads are equally good. Great little Pizzeria, great prices, prompt delivery. Try it you will like it.
