Dear local starbucks, I have been patient time and time again because I hear the horror stories of baristas spitting in drinks as Starbuck confessionals, but after the last 4 visits of a messed up drink, I think I’m going to stay away.

Lines, limited seating, milk/spice station usually a mess… bags of garbage tossed next to the kitchen wall. For a fast selection of snacks, it’s OK. Service isn’t too fast. Chai usually good. Bathrooms not that clean.

Can’t complain about my latte, but there are crumbs… EVERYWHERE! Seating is also limited.

This location needs help. They ran out of Pike coffee and where having people wait. They were notin top of what they were doing as they were also not stocked with stirrers and other items at 7:30 in the morning

20 scones and lattes later I see this. The other reviewers are right on. Crumbs on tables, sure they could be cleaner. Do the drinks take a bit, when you come in during a rush you bet! Ambiance: a glass view of Route 1 Norwalk and a nice quiet place to gather my thoughts in the midday buzz. Overall, I say if you want a coffee and snack with a pleasant interaction with a real human being go here. If you don’t go to DND.

If it wasn’t for this Starbucks location, my mornings would be oh so tiresome and unpleasant. The barista’s are super friendly and know what I want before I even walk through the door. There is something to be said of a team of staff who greet you by your name and a smile each morning. Impressive! Thanks to an all-star staff!

Why review a Starbucks on Unilocal?By now, probably everyone that would read Unilocal knows what a Starbucks is and know what to expect. But here’s the thing, I have been traveling a lot by road recently in the New England and it is still incredibly hard to find espresso and derivatives outside of large centers. So much so, that I am actually happy when I stumble upon a Starbucks. In this particular case, I was driving away from New York City at rush hours and I was following the advises of real-time route navigation from Google maps that change dynamically with traffic condition. After three or four redirections, Google maps couldn’t find a jam free route and I was stuck, moving at 5 mph around 6 pm. I proceeded to get out of the parkway and look for a coffee and tea place on Unilocal. The only near by one was this Starbucks(aside from Dunkin Donuts but I won’t even comment on that…) and I proceeded to use their restroom and get a chai latte. This place is everything you come to expect from a suburb Starbucks: Free parking; crowd that occupy all the tables while using the free wifi; reliable young server that follows the chain protocol and average products. The place served it’s purpose perfectly as expected and when I left half an hour later, the traffic jam was gone.

This Starbucks location is inconveniently placed, and is not aesthetically pleasing. The tables always have crumbs on them, and there is never any appeal to stay longer than the 5 minutes it takes to get my coffee.

Be prepared to wait a loooong time. Slowest service out of last 20 or so Starbucks I’ve been to

On Monday, May 12, 2014 I visited this store at Dansk Plaza in Norwalk, CT. I placed my order for a iced venti skinny cinnamon dolce latte. The cashier took my order and I paid. She placed the cup in the area to be made. The barista, the only one working, was busy cleaning up some blenders, etc. and did not in any way try to hurry up and start my beverage. She was conversing with a man in the public area of the store who told her«stop cleaning and start the order.»(Did he work there as well? He was not in any uniform or apron…) She then proceeded to put down the blenders and pick up a milk jug… only, she still did not start on my order. The man now walked over to her and started conversing about whatever, and I continued to wait(several minutes had now passed) and my beverage was no closer to getting made. Finally I said«Am I getting a drink?» at which point the barista said«Oh, yes,» as she finally then started to make my iced latte. I was then asked«Do you want whipped cream?» I ordered a skinny. I was THEN asked«Do you want cinnamon?» I ordered a cinnamon dolce latte.(I have never been asked this before in other stores.) Finally, sensing my frustration, she threw the drink on the counter and mumbled«Have a nice day.» This is not the first time I have experienced FAR less than adequate service at this location, and in fact, almost NEVER patronize the Dansk Plaza store for that very reason. $tarbucks needs to address the service, management, and quality control issues at this location ASAP. I will NOT be patronizing this store anytime in the near future, and I will now also reconsider before using any other Starbucks store in the Norwalk, CT area.

I waited patiently as the only person in «line» while the barista instead chatted for minutes on end to his buddy across the counter. At least his buddy was gracious and kind enough(probably feeling as awkward as I did) and eventually whispered to him«Dude, you have a customer,» to which«Dude» responded«Yeah, I know,» and continued to ignore me. I said to them both, «Well, he DID have a customer» and walked out — quickly calling my 3 friends who were en route to meet me there not to bother. I don’t appreciate being treated that way.

Im a regular costumer here and I never had a complaint at all, the service is very good, the staff are friendly and efficient. The place and the bathrooms are clean and good condition. I love to come here and have a PSL during the season or the white mocha. The parking lot is plowed quickly for the big snowy days overall is better than the Starbucks at Westport ave 5 stars they deserve it!

I waited a few times to write a review, and I’ve had it. Slow is not the word for it. I saw both of the drinks I ordered have to be re-made more than once. When the barista confirmed what i wanted, I got an attitude about my order. To the affect, «you really want that!» Like I said, this not a first time thing, very similar people, some change, but don’t stop afternoon and expect to get out in under 10 minutes.

I dig this location for a fewreasons, but note that the parking completely stinks! Depending on the time of day the service can be really cool or just brisk. The baristas always get my order right & make helpful suggestions in order to enhance my caffeinated beverage :) — appreciated. Loung area is smaller than most & usually not the best option to sit & chill so plan to grab & go instead. But there are two café tables outside which is a plus. Somehow the tunes here are better than other local Bucks. Clean, fast, & efficient.

This location loses 2 stars for two issues within the past 3 days. Saturday morning, peak period around 8:30, only 2 people working behind the counter as the customer line wrapped out to the door. 4 or 5 people walked out instead of waiting. I wasn’t in a hurry, but it was a ridiculously unavoidable wait had staffing been adequate. I felt bad for the people working there & for everyone waiting. Far more inexcusable… today is the 3rd or 4th time this year I showed up on a weekday at 6 am(on the dot, not earlier & not later), but they were not open & would not open the doors. Change your hours if you cannot(or do not want to) open on time. Seriously, if there are only 3 of us that typically come in before 6:30, it’s only fair to let us know you aren’t open until later. I’m not going back to this location again in spite of how convenient it is… there’s been far too many strikes.

This place is alright. Like in a good hippie way… I like it. It grew on me… I like sipping my coffee near the big windows and watching the world go by! I like the baristas there also, they are accomodating and I think that they do their best to help out where they can with customer questions and to help the customer to have a good Starbucks experience! so to re-iterate this Starbucks is not far out but it is alright. This is my work Starbucks, so I am there almost 4 times a week. Shout out to DO’M!

Plenty of plugs/tables for laptop users. A bird house and bird bath outside on the patio for all you wild n crazy bird watchers. Kind of noisy on patio during certain times of day because of traffic going by. Nail/hair salon next door if you wanna«get yer hair did» while sip’n on a latte.

This is a perfectly nice neighborhood Starbucks conveniently located right next to Stew Leonard’s in Norwalk. The store is clean and comfortable, and the staff is always pleasant and friendly. The only problem I’ve ever had here is that they sometimes stop brewing Pike Place hours before closing time. Like every Starbucks I know of, this one also has free wireless.

It’s always busy here on Saturday mornings but staff is friendly and prompt and my drink is usually ready in a few minutes.
