Jack’s Brick Oven Pizza

Lovely, evey Tuesday I my mother and I get lunch and a movie. We stumbled on to Jacks. As we entered we were immediately greeted. This is a big deal me that we are at the very least acknowledged. Classy considering she was bussing a table at the same time well done. The atmosphere was dim, cosey, and quiet. I was transported. Our server Danielle or Daniella (not sure). Was very courteous comfortable and even confident. All the food was empressive. I was torn between two dishes and she was able to to get the kitchen to merge the dishes. I was impressed. Thank you for a lovely lunch. We will be back.

Awesome service. I have yet to have a bad meal. Really enjoyed the veal parm. Also the pizza is fantastic.

Quality, fresh food. Love the thin-​crust pizza and Jack’s Spinach Salad is my favorite. The waitstaff is very attentive and friendly. We drive 20 minutes + to get our pizza here!

Just ate here for the first time. Extremely satisfied! The service was great and the food was excellent. Highly recommend the Gorgonzola pizza.

This place is up and down. I went there for a celebration and it was okay but recently I got the best Stromboli ever! The food is good however I had a hard time understanding an misspelled and full of errors email when i requested a quote for 20 people!
I guess they don’t care? Norwich has very few good spots and Jack’s doesn’t have exactly the best customer service.

Jack’s is a favorite! The food, atmosphere and staff are all top notch. If you like Italian food or fabulous pizza then Jack’s is the place to go.

We were told that this place has been voted best Italian, so we gave it a try.
Over all we were very please. Service is wonderful, and the atmosphere was very nice. We ordered a spinach and bacon salad that was very average however our Stromboli was very nice as well as our broccoli and chicken pizza. Our daughter had some pasta with chicken, basic but good. We topped off our meal with a cannoli and that was very nice as well. We were pleased and would recommend this restaurant for sure!

This is one of the best places I’ve been for pizza & wings. Great service & excellent I mean excellent food. The service and food go hand & hand. A must if your in this area wait even if your not in this area you should come here. Hands down GREAT food

What a disappointing experience, to say the least. I was looking for a place in the Norwich area, and, after reading prior reviews, was excited about this place. Needless to say, I was let down… big time.
First, the food was terrible and overpriced. I had a chicken parm sandwich, my wife had a salad, and my kids had chicken tenders, all of which were lacking. My sandwich was possibly the worst chicken parm I’ve ever had — the sauce was disgusting, the chicken was overcooked, and the cheese was a stringy, flavorless mess. As for the others, my kids meals were dry and bland, my wife’s salad had canned mandarin oranges, and my mom’s ‘side’ that came with her wrap was a bag of Lay’s chips…
Overall, if I were in your shoes, I’d keep driving and go to one of the many other restaurants in the area.

Came in to have dinner on a business meeting with my partner. Good food, timely service and most of all. Our server gave us our space to have our meeting!

Best pizza around, hands down! The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Service is always quick and pleasant. I usually get «take out» pizza and am always happy with the service I receive.

This was a perfect find. We were driving through and thought this place looked good and we were very pleased. The food is not overly priced and comes out in big portions. Our waitress was very friendly and even let us know that the automatic 18% gratuity had been charged (for having a party larger than 6) which was refreshing. A lot of times waitresses won’t tell you that. Overall, I’d highly recommend Jack’s.

I love this place! The building is beautiful, the parking is ample and the is gorgeous stone patio out front. As soon as you walk inside, your stomach will rumble as a result of the amazingly delicious aroma. The staff is lovely and immediately makes you feel welcome. Be prepared for crowds on the weekends. Lots to choose from in the menu other than pizza — the chicken parm is definitely my favorite dish so far. The bruschetta is very yummy for starters. As far as the pizza goes, I absolutely love, love, love the the spinach specialty white pizza! To die for.

The building itself is gorgeous with a nice interior, a stone patio and outdoor seating. The wings were pretty good, not the best I’ve ever had but respectable. Light-​to-​medium batter and a decent buffalo sauce that smelled hotter than it really was. Nice meaty wings, not the skimpy little ones that some places serve.
The pizza is thin-​crust but not Neapolitan, instead it is a very crispy crust. That’s not normally my style but they do a good job with it. They also have plenty of Italian entrees on the menu that sounded very good. The pizza might be a little overrated, but Jack’s was a nice experience and I would definitely go back.

Recommended by good friends, we drove from Waterford to try out this place and they did not disappoint! Great service, yummy drinks & delicious food is essential! We loved the Love Salad, pizza, fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and broccoli, and then we shared the desserts. Hands down, they make the BEST & biggest cannoli we’ve ever had! There’s an outdoor patio so you can bring Fido. Definitely worth the drive!

By far the best independently owned pizza parlor in the area. My family moved to Griswold, Connecticut, after residing just outside of Providence, RI for many years. It took them almost 7 years to find a pizza place that even compared to the quality they had grown accustomed whilst in RI. Luckily, they were finally able to find that in Jack’s.
When my mom suggested picking up a pizza for our dinner during a Sunday afternoon visit, I trembled, remembering 7 years worth of horrible Connecticut pizza experiences. Eventually, I stubbornly agreed and we were on our way to Jack’s.
We ordered a variety of food, including pizza, grinders, and apps. Everything tasted delicious and fresh. We actually ordered our food from Jack himself and he was very nice and charismatic. He was extra happy to hear that his pizza is the only local pizza we enjoy.
With many sub-​par and chain restaurants in the area, Jack’s is always a sure thing. You will leave happy and full, what’s not to like?

I recently moved to the area and my dad and I stopped here for some dinner one night. The food was quite good. We had the philly pizza (steak, mozzarella cheese, and onions and bell peppers) and it was to die for. We also had salads and breadsticks, which were equally as good.
The service was great and they are typically pretty busy, which is a tribute to how good they are. So far, they take the cake for my favorite pizza in the area and I can’t wait to go back.
If you don’t like pizza, don’t fear. They have grinders, subs, pasta, and salads too!
They also deliver and offer carry out as well. If you like pizza and good service, give this place a go!
