Wow! Izzy N. s review makes me sick ! It is what it is ! CONVENIENT! Way back when, the Huddle had 60 pool tables in the basement, and they allowed smoking! Yeah, true story. Izzy N may make me quit Unilocaling! Gross! I can relate, John S, I live 5 blocks from this place, seen it all come and go away, it is all corporate now…

Ooooh The Huddle. I love The Huddle!!! The best mini mart EVER. Um, if you’re a student/​faculty/​administrator/​alumni/​priest/​nun that is… that’d be weird for a commoner, aka regular towns people *wink wink, to walk all the way onto campus. and shop at the mart for some candy. That’s kinda creepy. Anyway, good selection of candy. I approve! They have my favorite fruity tootsie rolls. You can buy it in bulk here. Good thinking, University of Notre Dame. So smart. On valentine’s day, they sell the ginormous rice krispy treats. They are as large as your midwestern ass if you are wondering how big is ginormous. So point being. it’s a great little mini-​mart type of store to buy a quick snack, meal, beverage, whatever for a study break, a booty call or midterms/​finals, whatever. I’m jk of course about the booty call… Notre Dame doesn’t allow such things. We are all virginal. duh. If you thought I was seriously talking about sex or the like then: Sinners with your impure thoughts! SHAME. Time to go pray the rosary. The Huddle is pretty well stocked with almost anything you need, you might never have to leave campus. I said MIGHT.

Oh, The Huddle. It was so much better when I was in high school visiting Notre Dame hoping I could get in. When I finally got into grad school at Notre Dame, The Huddle still had a lot of its charm. It now looks like the convenience stores on other college campuses, although it still looks really small, and they still have a quirky selection of, well, everything.
The hidden gem of this place is the salad bar. It can be pretty expensive – they charge by weight, so lay off the broccoli and other heavy veggies – but it’s oh so good. Don’t even bother coming in here on a football weekend.
