I was the first to review this bar on Unilocal,and I also wanted to be the last. Great times were had in this establishment. Lots of friends and memories were made in this place. This bar was the epitome of the neighborhood corner bar that you find in the city, only set out in the middle of Perry Hall.
Thanks for all of the memories Nancy. Congratulations on your retirement, but we are going to really miss you and all of the good times we had here.

If you loved the 1980’s and enjoy a «sports bar» that shows horse racing… and that’s it. If you want to be looked at like an outsider if you’re not in your late 60’s. If you want to watch the one employee in the building cook the food, serve your drinks, clean the bathrooms, and put out a kitchen fire all at once. This place is for you! I don’t know it’s alright. Left after one drink due to everything above. I like dive bars but I’ll never have a problem driving right by this place.

The Batter’s Box a.k.a. ‘The Box’ (think about it ladies) is a classic old fart dive bar. I believe the current minimum drinking age in there is 62 years old and rising every year. The food and drinks are cheap but the men’s room is possibly the dirtiest indoor bathroom I’ve ever had the horror or using.
I don’t like watching games here. The TVs are out dated and often out of sync so ½ the bar will see a play 2 seconds before the other ½ does which drives me nuts regardless of which ½ I’m sitting at.

Divey like a mofug. My favorite place to watch baseball. The food is ass – but what do you expect when you’re really just ordering frozen pretzels? The beer is cheap and the crowd loves the O’s – what more do you want. And there’s Keno after the game. Don’t poop here, there’s no doors on the bathroom stall.
