Being new to town, I needed to find a stylist to cut my hair. I’m glad I chose to come here. Bonnie did a great job. I felt like she really listened & my haircut turned out better than what I had envisioned in my head. I’ll definitely be back. The price was great too.

Sonja Palumbo is a very talented & experienced hair stylist. She has been doing my hair for years now and I have recommended her to my friends. She has a very sweet disposition, listens carefully to your requests and follows through with great results. I recently asked her to add some blue highlights and she did a fantastic job! Thank you, thank you Sonja. I’ve received so many compliments!

This has been long overdue, but since I’ve been getting so many compliments lately, I finally remembered to give credit to the miracle worker who cuts my hair! Lisa is the one to go to! She has been cutting my hair for 14 years, and I only trust her with my hair. In fact, she cuts both of my parents’ hair as well! She’s our family hairdresser, and we are so pleased with the way our hair has looked all these years. She’ll listen to exactly what you request, but will make sure that if it isn’t quite right, she’ll add her special touch to it (she knows exactly what to do because of her years of experience). I highly recommend her for anyone who wants an awesome haircut. Especially those who might want long layers!

I am obsessed with Sonja Polumbo (aka Hair Houdini)! I will follow her wherever she goes and have recently done so as she moved from Marin Beauty Company to Studio 861 in downtown Novato! I welcome this change as Marin Beauty was not meeting my needs however Sonja certainly was and still is!
I LOVE Studio 861! It’s calm, soothing, open, airy, and welcoming; a little oasis on the quaint Grant Street. This salon fits Sonja’s amazing personality and hair skills like a glove!

My stylist Sonja Palumbo just moved to this Salon from another location. I love Sonja! She does the best cuts for me no mater what style I’m changing too and her precision and artistry with color is amazingly fun and natural. She has such a kind sweet nature and is very easy to talk to no mater what kind of day I am having. I end my appointments with her feeling special and pretty. I really love her new location. It feels so much more private. It is professional and relaxed and clean. Give yourself a treat and book an appointment today. I have known Dawn for nearly ten years. The facials I receive from her are outstanding and extremely well based on what is needed for the client. At least that is what I have experienced. She never pushes any products on me that really won’t use or want. I tell her honestly what I know I will do and we work around that and she recommends just the right things for me. No better place in town to get a wonderful facial, honest service, and someone being concerned for you.

This review is probably more directed at Bonnie L. my hairdresser at Studio 861 (formerly Great Looks). The salon is small with only about 3 stylists but they are incredibly friendly, accommodating and growing.
Bonnie has been doing my color and cut for about 2 years. I don’t change my highlights much, but when I do Bonnie is always willing to work with me. She is also flexible about scheduling to fit you in.
I am constantly looking for a new hairstyle and Bonnie never gets frustrated or impatient with me. She doesn’t push her style on you. I know you know what I’m talking about. How many times in the past have we all walked out with our hair looking just like our hair stylists.
I always walk out happy with my hair and I think you would, too.
