The representative I talked with was arrogant and simply pushing a sale. He was not technically informed and took about 2 seconds to realize it was best to just leave the store, and find another one with more knowledgeable employees. Go with your instincts if you visit this business.

Great store for a Verizon customer. Never a long line and Ryan knows his stuff. I’ve been in there twice with tech issues and he was courteous, patient, helpful and knowledgeable.

We have dealt with Cell Depot for years. We always get excellent service. Ilya, the sales person we usually deal with, is extremely knowledgeable.

Their sales people lie about insurance plans in order to get commission. I was told that I could get a replacement phone free of charge if lost, stolen, or damaged if I purchased a $ 1992 year insurance plan. It turns out there is a $ 125 fee to use the insurance policy. BEWARE of this store, I recommend shopping somewhere else!

Outstanding service in the new Novato store. Jason, our salesperson, was friendly, very knowledgeable, helpful and went to great lengths to help us. Our time in the store was short but fruitful: Jason helped us with our decisions and did a number of «startup» things that he might have left to us if he didn’t care. The store is as attractive an an Apple Store(best compliment we can give). The atmosphere also is enhanced by the friendly and positive attitude of all the sales associates. We have finalized our ‘divorce” from AT&T and we now are very happy with Verizon.

Since this is a small business and not a Verizon owned company store the people are a lot more interested in whether you are a satisfied customer. They are very up on their technical information and can explain new or mysterious things to you. They have always been helpful when I needed to drop by for a quick question on a phone issue. I am sending my friends there ASAP.

First, they sold me equipment that never worked. Second, they were impossible to deal with when I tried to return it. Third, according to Verizon customer service«they aren’t really Verizon» so customer service is unable to help you at all when there is an issue and you purchased equipment and lines at this store. Not that verizon customer service is a help to begin with. Fourth, they outright lied about the contract they signed me up for and I actually read what I signed on paper, which was not what it turned out I got. Fifth, I am totally over Verizon and moving all of my business and personal lines to another carrier tomorrow.

I went into the Verizon store at Northgate a while back and came away with such a positive feeling. They helped my daughter with a couple questions she had with her new phone. Today I needed help with two issues. I decided to give the Novato store a try to see if their customer service is at the same level as Northgate’s. Unfortunately I can say that Northgate wins and Novato is OUT. The«customer service rep» talked down to me. He made me feel like I was a complete idiot. He doesn’t seem to understand that not everyone understands technolgy at the same level. The two solutions he sent me home with did not work(he wasn’t about to help me out in the store) and I am now once again researching solutions in hopes that I don’t have to drive down to Northgate. When it comes to my upgrade in August I know who will be getting the business… and it WON’T be Novato.

We didn’t know this place existed and stumbled in after getting our gas reward at the nearby safeway gas station. Sean was WONDERFUL– the best kind of salesman, and made us feel super comfortable. We both walked out with a phone– me a Razr(after he told me how much he loved his own and let me play with it until my heart was content) and my fella with a Galaxy Nexus. We have always gone to the Verizon in Corte Madera in the past and I was avoiding upgrading because I always have such a terrible experience there. This was the exact opposite. I am so happy to have a family owned option right here in Novato with great employees like Sean!

I think the staff means well, but don’t go there in the last hour they are open. I had been in the store and I came back(with an hour before closing). The employee told me that he wouldn’t get to me, so come back another day — there was only one other person there. He said he had to get to a meeting after work. By coming back another day later, they changed my service from unlimited to a limited service and now I can’t get it changed back. I am generally happy with the company but less than happy with in-store service.

Went in because I had my 2 year upgrade available. Did lots of research before deciding on what phone I was going to buy. I had the Motorola Droid and it was down to the Droid X or the Thunderbolt. Anyways went in here because I had a good experience last time and because they are close to my house. Pros: Beyond friendly staff. Clean and nicely laid out store. Super knowledgeable staff. I tried to trap the sales guy(in a friendly way) several times and he was honest, up front and right on the money. They had what I wanted in stock. Was in an out of there with a new phone and most everything transfered over in under an hour(with 15 – 20 talking time). Gave me the upgraded deals on accessories! Cons: Don’t really have anything negative to say. Was a good experience. Overall: Will be taking all my Verizon business there. The Corte Madera store is HORRIBLE. There is just no comparison with the customer service.

This is a tale of two Verizon stores. ITWASTHEBESTOFTIMES… My positive experience at Verizon’s Novato store made this longtime Verizon customer very happy. Fortunately, one of the words these guys use frequently is YES. As in: «YES, we would be happy to discuss various phone options with you at length.» «YES, we can easily exchange your phone if you are having issues with it.» «YES, we even remember you coming in last week.» «YES, we will ask intelligent questions and will help you troubleshoot.» «YES, we will collaborate with you and suggest several viable options.» «YES, we want you to come back if things haven’t improved.» «YES, we epitomize the words CUSTOMERSERVICE.» Manager Maxim and his bright, friendly, and knowledgeable associates are why we will happily make the drive to Novato for all our future Verizon cellphone purchases and questions. YES, we will. It was the WORST of times…

I don’t know if it is the fact that they are an independent retailer and Verizon has their hand’s tied or what, but each time I have left this place I have been totally frustrated. It started in March when I complained that I wasn’t getting any service in my apartment. Instead of having a tech come out to check the service they insisted I needed to upgrade from my current phone(that worked perfectly anywhere but my house). I spent a lot of money and walked out with a new phone that still does not work in my apartment.(despite the fact that other carriers do work) Yesterday said phone’s screen turned black. Nothing, nada. I brought this to Verizon(where I bought my phone) and they had to call the regular verizon and asked them to send me a new phone… which will take three days. The frustrating thing, if I went in to buy that phone I am sure they would have one ready for me to go. I explained that I was leaving tonight for a family vacation on the East Coast and they said I could spend money and get it overnighted, but it still wasn’t guarenteed I’d get it before I left. Plus when it does arrive I have to bring my phone into the store anyway to start. I don’t know if its Verizon or the store, but I can totally see why everyone is switching to AT&T. When people are leaving their service you would think they would do more to keep those they still have. See you Verizon. The contract cancel fee is worth it to me.
