I didn’t realize that this location has only been open for about a couple of days. If I had known that upon going in there today, some things would have made a little more sense to me. They were busy and the girls were still kind and helpful. The first girl, Amanda, registered me in their system(first time in an Alex and Ani store, not a first time customer though) and helped me with my first purchase. I wanted to find a pendant that was on the website, but after speaking to the manager, I was informed that they didn’t have it yet. My eyes fell upon the Crystal Infusion necklaces. Another employee, Ashley, started to help me since Amanda was now with another customer. She was helpful and took out a couple of necklaces for me to try. When it was time for my second purchase she had a lot of trouble finding me in their system because one, it was obvious English wasn’t her first language and two, she wasn’t listening very well to me. I made a few comments about the price of the necklace to my boyfriend(he was buying it for me) and she decided to say«Oh don’t worry about the price! He’s paying for it! He’s a keeper!» I felt a little uncomfortable and at one point didn’t even want the necklace. That was unprofessional of her on so many levels. THEN she decides to «box/wrap» my necklace… I wish I could post a photo of the way she«boxed» my necklace. It was practically ALL hanging out of the box and little Baggie that it was in. I was so uncomfortable and irritated that I didn’t even say a word. We just left. I later called the store and talked to the manager. I think her name is Tony or Tawny. She apologized and said she would take care of it and that this was a new store, some of the girls were new and that they should all know how to properly box an item. Well unfortunately for Ashley, her social skills and packing skills are horrible. I really hope they don’t get commission because I would have been a lot happier had Amanda continue my sales transaction.
