If you like icing and not a whole lot of cake, then you may like this place. The size of the cupcake is just a bit bigger than what you would make at home. Their cupcakes are no comparison to Jilly’s, Sweet Divine or The Cup. Very cute place though

I liked it. A LOT! You better like icing. I bought a turtle and a german chocolate cupcake. Both were very good and the owner was very nice and pleasant. I think they cost a bit much I thought about a dozen and it would have been 45.00YIKES, not going there. But you never know if I will show up with a few at the next family picnic!

Just went for the first time. The owner was so sweet. I got 4 cupcakes, I got the chocolate chip, Eiffel Tower, peanut butter cup and the Oreo truffle. They are all so pretty. They taste incredible. They were so moist. And the décor of the place is very cute and inviting. It is a perfect mommy/daughter date place

So my daughter had a birthday party at Cupcakes Amore and it went great. They have these great party rooms that are just perfect and the kids get to use frosting and decorate the cupcakes with like a pound of frosting. Needless to say, that was a hit! Also, note to any wannabe work superstars out there – bringing a dozen donuts to work is nice, a dozen bagels – that’s good too, but a dozen of these cupcakes – well, it might not get you a promotion but you’ll be a star. They’re all good, especially the ones that are stuffed with caramel or chocolate!

This is a very pretty spot! It looks like a nice French café. Dainty tables and chairs, and pictures on the wall. It even has a cupcake bar that you can sit at as you sip a drink with your cupcake. The number of selections is about 12 at a time. I guess if you are only selling cupcakes, 12 is a good number for people to choose from. Makes it easy to order a dozen assorted! All of the cupcakes are beautiful! Lots of icing, decorations, and different flavors! I had the salted caramel. It was more icing than I really wanted, but it was a very flavorful buttercream. The cake was a bit dry though! I would go back for the selection and the taste, but the price is rather high for a cupcake! I have to agree with a previous review that the customer service needs improvement. I felt as though I should have apologized for interrupting the clerk’s day!

The salted caramel pretzel cupcake was awesome! Will definitely be going back! Hope they will soon make a strawberry cheesecake cupcake instead of raspberries! :-)

I had a Living Social deal so that I had the chance to try these cupcakes out. I am not a big cupcake fan(I prefer ice cream) but driving by everyday, I just had to check them out. I was able to buy 3 different cupcakes with the deal — they retail at about $ 4 a piece. I bought the German Chocolate and 2 different types of salted caramel — one chocolate and one vanilla. We tried the chocolate salted caramel first — the cake was pretty dry and the vanilla buttercream was a bit too sweet for my liking, but I loved the vanilla cake on the other vanilla one, but the frosting again was way too sweet for me. The German Chocolate also had dry chocolate cake but the chocolate frosting which was covered in caramel and toasted coconut was absolute delicious! If you decide to try it out, I recommend a vanilla cupcake with chocolate frosting for sure!

Cupcake Amore makes cupcakes that are very generous in size and sweetness. There are so many flavors to try, and the icing on top is overly generous. The store is chic and spacious, decorated in pink and black with parisian accents all over. I love the bar for eating your cupcakes with a beverage. There is outdoor seating as well, and they have large rooms for private parties. The service is fantastic, and they package cupcakes to go in individual cupcake shaped plastic containers-perfect for preserving the icing. I wish the icing was not as sweet, and the cake tasted more like homemade. They lack the tenderness of other specialty cupcake shop in the St. Louis Metro area. This shop gets many things right; if they retool the cupcakes a bit, they could really provide St. Charles County with fabulous cupcakes.

These are FABULOUS cupcakes. The baker is extremely generous with the buttercream, and she is constantly coming up with creative new flavors that I haven’t seen anyplace else in town. The shop is fairly far from my home in St. Louis County, but these cupcakes are well worth the drive. If you love a good cupcake, you must go!

I bought a living social deal for myself and my friend. I went in and asked if I could use my friends that day. I bought it so I could pick up some cupcakes for her since she was watching my boys on Friday and I wanted to drop them off before she headed to work that day as a thank you ;) After placing a phone call to the owner I was told I couldn’t use it because I put her first name on the voucher per living social rules? Even though I had purchased it. They said they had a problem in the the past with a lady that bought 3 living social deals and she used all three herself. Which really shouldn’t matter because they’re paid for, but I didn’t argue. I went ahead and used mine and bought extra, because I wanted to try their cupcakes and compare them to other businesses I’ve tried. The cake is moist with good flavor, but the frosting could be worked on a bit. It’s really heavy and sugary, I expected buttercream not frosting from a walmart cake. The M&M frosting tasted like it came out of a Hersheys can. I think their cupcakes look good, the cake is good but the frosting and friendliness can be worked on ;) On the flip side, they’re the best I’ve found in Ofallon so far.
