Support local Businesses! This restaurant is one of the best things in O’Fallon. The service is always wonderful, food is great, its cheap, and it always fits big families! My family goes at least once a month!

I have never had a bad meal from JJ’s! My favorite is the BBQ Ribs. I am very picky about BBQ, I do not like a dry BBQ, I want mine wet and I want it cooked on the meat and let me tell you, JJ’s does it the right way! The meat on the ribs is fork-tender and so very tasty. There is a very small amount of heat in the BBQ sauce but it is not overwhelming but it is addictive. A half back is plenty for a meal because you get a roll and 2 sides with it but the full rack, just gives you another meal later and so worth it. Let’s go back to the rolls. Shut Up! They are so good. They are deep fried and sprinkled with garlic and Parmesan. No butter needed. Seriously, I wish I could get them by the basket. The burgers are amazing too. They are smashed thinner but not too thin, juicy and delicious. A double burger is a hardy burger but so worth it. They serve them with crinkle cut fries and who doesn’t love that? I have also had the fish and chips, as well as, the cat fish and they are both amazing. And while we are in the sea, the shrimp dinner is great too. The shrimp are huge! The tuna melt on swirled rye was surprisingly good. I am a tuna salad fan but had no idea that I was going to like it warm… I totally did. I am not much of a rye bread fan but it is a mild rye and added to the melt. For the sides I highly recommend the cole slaw which is nice and creamy, the baked beans, you can’t go wrong with a baked potato and of course the fries. They do offer desserts and I have had the cheesecake and it is good, they have other things too but I am always so full I never pay too much attention.

Their catfish is very good but be prepared to wait quite a long time for seating. The staff is busy but pleasant. Will be going back!

Seriously, how have I not written a review for this place yet? Now I feel embarrassed about being from O’Fallon and haven’t done the review for it. Guess I better fix that with this review. Been coming here for years really. I think I’ve been here off and on since I was little. Service is always good. The people are always nice and friendly and understanding. Oh, and I forgot to mention quick. When they notice we are running low on drinks they come with another round for us. My family has the menu mostly memorized, which is both a good thing and a bad thing. Mainly because we can pick out our order easily, so we don’t always try something new. I will say though. That no matter what you get, the food here is good and solid. Meaning that it will always be dependably good. The down side to this space is the lack of parking and the dated look. The lack of parking comes from this place being too popular for it’s own good. Though, that is a positive for a business. The dated look comes from age of the building and space. Some repairs and remodeling could be redone, but overall the space is still in decent shape.

They have all-you-can eat fried fish(catfish) during Lent. It was an extremely busy night but the food was good and the waitress seemed nice enough. Its okay.

$ 10.59 Sirloin was very good! Cooked perfectly at medium rare. The chili verde soup was outstanding with just a touch of heat!

Took the family there on Sunday for the fried chicken special. First I will say that the food was great. They had daily specials and the prices are very reasonable. The only issue I had was with the service. When we were seated we were told the waitress would be with us shortly. Shortly passed with no waitress. Someone who I guess was the manager came over and took the drink order. The waitress finally showed(we were one of her 2 tables) and took our orders. We did not see her again until the food arrived. No drink refills, etc. She never came back to check on us, ask how the foods was, etc. The next time we saw her was with the bill. I don’t even recall if she introduced herself at the beginning. From my vantage point, I could however see here in the center of the restaurant just«hanging out» with some other wait staff. This place does need to get some staff that wants to work.

We had lunch there on Saturday and was very good. Great cheeseburger and all you can eat fish on Friday is good, though fried. Kids have enjoyed it and lately pick it for weekend lunches.

I’ve been going to this place for years. It’s a pretty bland dark place but I do like how it’s always so quiet. Lol. There’s not many people there when I go there. I would suggest the chicken fajitas. Other than that, I just know I’ve been going here for years. I need to revisit soon.

Every time I go to JJ’s I am surprised by how good the food is. We’ve been going there for over a decade, and have never had a bad experience. It has a casual, down-to-earth atmosphere. I look forward to our next visit.

I scheduled our company’s Christmas dinner here. We waited until the last minute and everything else was booked — turned out I chose the perfect spot! We had a party of 30(including kids) an they put us in a private banquet room. We all ordered from the menu and did not have 1 complaint about the food or service. They have a large menu so we all got what we wanted. The service was prompt and the food was great! We’ll be going back for our Christmas dinner again next year.

This place had some off points during my families visit, but oddly enough I left a fan of this restaurant and look forward to trying them out again! JJ’s is a locally owned establishment that serves a variety of American cuisine, including some southwestern flavors. Like a Ma and Pop«applebee’s» without the rush of table turnovers. The service made me feel like I was visiting strangers home and I gradually, but quickly fell comfortable. Their menu doesn’t showcase anything unpredictable, but I liked that and it wasn’t overwhelming. Everyday at JJ’s there is a designated special of that day, and it rarely if ever changes. The place wasn’t a packed house, but if I were I wouldn’t mind the waiting room as it was filled with old school arcade games. Like a pinball machine, candy catchers, a Ms. Pacman table with the screen as the table top, and a FOOZ Ball table! What?! Like I said before, the place was off that day said the server, but he was a cool guy. He forgot napkins, silverware, and one item I ordered, but he filled the gaps with always making sure we were taken care. My glass was never empty, I’ll put it that way. Weird situation also happened while we dined there… a lady on the other side of the room had a seizure! Holy Crap! Nobody panicked, and 911 was dialed, police, firemen, and paramedics took care of her. The staff handled that situation appropriately I believe. Man, I hope that lady is okay, she was able to speak. Geesh! Lets get back to the goods. My kids had mac and cheese. It looked like the Kraft box type, «cause it probably was». They didn’t complain, It came with oreo cookies and they got to dig into our appetizer, which were the Bosco sticks w/Hot Marinara. The app was good, but they cut up 3 of them into bite size pieces. I didn’t mind it, for the kids sake. I hope they don’t usually do that though, I feel like that can lose temperature. My wife ordered the«special» which was a sirloin steak w/2 sides. I can’t remember both, but one of them were mashed potatoes w/a homemade white gravy. She said it was awesome, so I’ll take her word for it. Now me, I had the Jalapeño Double Cheese burger. I made them give me the works! Bacon, Cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato, onion, jalapenos, jalapeño ranch. Man! They executed my burger perfectly, it was huge and juicy. I absolutely destroyed that plate, including the fries w/hot cheese sauce on the side. Mainly because that server challenged my «man-appetite», said he could’nt finish it him self, this was based on my question’s in regards to it’s size. They grill their burgers diner style, so I wasn’t asked the options of med. rare to well done, but it didn’t matter… it did not disappoint, and it is the main reason I give this place 4 stars. The food was great, and it’s locally owned. I support them in my city.

Love JJ’s! Always have had good service and I love and always get the buffalo chicken wrap. It’s a very generous portion and very yummy! I’ve had other menu items too and they have all been great!

This place is right across from my work so it is very convenient. The cheese burger special is very good… my bf got the wings… they were the best flavored wings we have had in a very long time… we asked for extra crispy and that is how they came. Service was good and the popcorn they serve from the get go is an amazing lil touch!!! We definitely will be back.

Reliable. JJs hasn’t really changed since I first started going there in high school but that’s not a complaint. The menu is full of all kinds of dishes that are done well but this is a great spot to just go simple and order a burger. It’s a diner kind of place and they know how to make a great burger with fries. They also have banquet rooms for no additional charge. You can do plated meals or a buffet. I’ve been there for casual bridal showers, a quick rehearsal dinner, or even to celebrate opening night of a play and you can’t go wrong if you like it simple and delicious.

Good homestyle American comfort food. I go here about once a week and always have at least okay service. The food is always top notch. Go there during Lent and have an all you can eat Fish Fry. Be certain to try the fajitas, I put them up there with the best Mexican places in town.
