Shop N Save

The old lady at the pharmacy is rude as can be. I pull up, nobody is there, hit the button. She comes to the drive-​up window and rolls her eyes in annoyance. Then proceeds to tell me that I don’t need to hit the button when I pull up (as if I am supposed to know that). Then tells me «I’m telling you this now so that you don’t hit it the next time you come.» Hmmm maybe you should be waiting at the window then or disconnect that call button if you don’t want people pushing it. Also, anyone can pick up your meds. All I gave her was my last name. Didn’t give her my first name, address, birthday, nothing. Don’t use their pharmacy. Andrea T is her name.

This super market is huge everything. Very spacious, wide aisles, and clinically clean. The product placement is sharp and locating items are easy with their large signs. If you’re looking for a place that is not wildly crowded and full of traffic jams like Wal-​Mart and Aldi’s, then this is the place as it always seems relatively quiete.
Prices and deals. They have great competitive prices and deals. I’ve found some even destroy Wal-Mart’s. They have a much larger selection than any other super market in ofallon, but they lack greatly in some areas. For example, the bakery items and selection present are whack. Seems almost non existent. The same can be said for the pharmacy. I don’t know, maybe these department just aren’t shop n saves’s niches. I like this market, but it needs to beef up some departments… With this location at least. It’s super close to so many neighborhoods.

The store has been open a bit over a year as they moved from a bit further up Highway K. The move was very badly needed as their prior location was smaller, and quite the dump.
This store is large and well lit. Without a doubt it has the best prices of anything of any store around. The only exception to this would be the rare time that Schnucks or Dierbergs has a major sale on something and Shop n Save generally meets and beats those sales.
I also like the fact that you have to bag your own groceries because then nobody puts your bread in with canned goods or lunch meat in with bleach. Or only puts one or two items in each bag. Plus with lower labor rates as a result, you do end up seeing those savings.
The entrance/​exit to the parking lot is a bit squirrelly due to it being off of a ‘loop’ road, but other than that, you can’t go wrong here. Save money on your groceries and you won’t regret shopping here!

Generally all the people that work here are friendly & willing to help you find what ever you need. If its available they can order it in. Now some of the customers could take a page from the people that work their.
