Tazino’s closed April, 2015. A new pizza, pasta and salad buffet opened in June, 2015, in the same location. It’s called Wisconsin Pizza Works.

I used to come here often when I was in school and it has been a few years since I was last here so my husband and I decided to come here for lunch since we were in the area. I was very impressed that they were just as good as I remember. Their pizza is good and they make sure they always have fresh pizzas out. Their salad bar has a decent number of options for lettuce, vegetables, toppings and dressings and the ingredients are always fresh. They have added a Gelato machine since I was here last time so if you want to pay 99 cents extra per person, you can get Gelato after your meal. You have your choice of chocolate, vanilla or swirl.

This place is an all you can eat pizza buffet. I don’t really know how to expound on that since it’s kind of self explanatory. It’s several different types of pizza sitting under a heat lamp waiting for you to serve yourself some. The salad bar is full of wilted veggies which one again is no surprise. The desserts are less than stellar. On the flip side they will make any kind of pizza to order. I asked for an every topping pizza and they said cool without batting an eye. It’s a buffet. I’ve never been to a buffet with five star food. If you’re expecting more than buffet food, don’t.

I have been here a lot. It’s in a strip mall close to Oak Creek Woodman’s. It’s not very economical to go after 4PM. I would think they would want to draw people in? We went at the dinner hour and it was pretty empty. The cost is around $ 9.00 for adults and $ 5.00 for kids at that time. Another problem is, there was hardly any pizza out.(maybe one or two slices of each) This place is a hit with the kiddos. There was a kids eat free day but I am not sure if they are still running that promo? The pizza is good when it’s out and the same for the brownies and the cinnamon buns. There is also soup and salad. Perfect place for college kids and anyone that want to eat massive amounts of pizza. I see they added a salad only option for $ 6.95 but I am a all in person.

I was pleasantly surprised by by this place. My sister and I were looking for a quick lunch and stopped in. It was after the lunch rush, so they asked what kind of pizza we wanted and they made them fresh for us. Awesome! The pizza itself was good, a little odd, but great for the price. The salad bar was pretty nice too. A lot of nice options, plus vegetarian items were clearly labeled. A bonus when eating with a vegetarian! I also really dug the fruit infused waters that they featured. Go in not expecting a ton and you’ll most likely be pleasantly surprised!

Really love this location, and they have specials on Facebook/Twitter occasionally, which saves you a couple of bucks! Love the food, buffet is always stocked with fresh pizzas, the pepperoni/buffalo rolls are really good too. I prefer deep dish, so I always ask for one to be made for me and they always have it up in 5 – 10 minutes. My only complaint is that the desserts are generally dry, so I tend to avoid those. Love the pizza of the week options and the various flavored waters that they have.

Its an OK joint. Food tastes like something you would get in a college dorm. That being said, they do have a wide variety of pizzas. I usually start off with some chicken noodle soup and then some pasta salad, before digging into the pizza. My favourite is the potato bacon pizza. For $ 8-$ 9 you can’t really expect that much.

LIKENOTHING I’VEEVERTASTED THEFOODPREMISE I figured given the title of my review, I’d better get right to the point. The food was like nothing I’ve ever tasted, because it literally didn’t taste like anything. I consider Tazino’s the oddest food phenomenon I’ve ever experienced. First, there is the premise that everything at Tazino’s is just a little bit healthiER(not healthy) than a traditional pizza establishment. Signs when you enter proclaim: NOMSG, NO High Fructose Corn Syrup, No preservatives. When you venture into the actual buffet area, the first thing you see is a row of specialty water dispensers: plain, basil water, or lemon water. So far, so good, I thought to myself. The tags above each station offer sentiments like«our sauce is made from hand picked, ripened tomatoes,» «our crust is home made with unbleached, unbrominated wheat flour,» and«we use real, hormone free Wisconsin Cheese.» Sounds promising, right? THETENCENTDIAMOND The fact is, if someone sells you a diamond for ten cents, chances are you are the proud owner of a diamond worth less than a dime. And that accurately summarizes the paradox that is Tazino’s. For $ 8.99 you are simply NOT going to get flavorful, health-conscious cuisine. And I fault Tazino’s for it’s lack of integrity in selling me their version of a ten cent diamond. REALITYACTUALIZED The pizza is disgusting, I’m sorry to report. The crust is doughy and flavorless, with no crunch whatsoever. Can I use the word flavorless enough in this review to get my point across? The little sauce that was on the pizza had an undetectable flavor. Not salty, not tangy, but rather not there. Absent. It did have cheese on it, or something with the consistency of cheese but with the flavor(again, if any) of stagnant water. Absolutely no pizza cheesey, decadent, tomato-zingy fabulousness. The multi-colored rigatoni tasted like raw, flour-y unboiled noodles right out of a Barilla bag, which is so bizarre since it was actually overcooked. How is this possible? The salad bar was unimaginitive, and I tried to bulk up on salad, feeling totally ripped off at this point. Avoid the«French» dressing. It has a rancid undertone. Well hey, at least it’s a flavor. Perhaps I should have been grateful. The chow mein noodles and oyster crackers were unsalted and bland. I didn’t get to sample the soup bar because there was nothing left in the wells but remnants of soup from earlier in the day – a crust or film, if you will. My guess is I didn’t miss anything. THEDESSERTS There were two underwhelming choices: brownies(and that description is pushing the envelope), and cinnamon puffs. It was like deciding between cyanide or razor blades. One was a generic pan of rubbery brownies, made with the cheapest Hostess knock-off-chocolate-like mix. They were cut in such a way that their rubber band texture didn’t allow for them to come apart. You kind of had to «stretch» the row of them to try to break off a piece. I took two bites because I hadn’t eaten all day and was starved. Then i asked myself why I was eating this repulsive plastic easy-bake oven brownie imposter. I must be a glutton for punishment, because I consciously chose to sample the cinnamon puffs. There were about three triangles in a sea of sloppy white frosting, basking in the glow of the overworked heat lamps at Tazino’s. I bit into one and spit it immediately into my napkin. I got a mouth full of something that had the texture of Play-doh, but with no discernible taste. My best description would be that it tasted like that generic steam table smell of an Old Country Buffet, if that makes any sense. At any rate, I deemed that neither of these«desserts» was worth the investment of calories. THESERVICE Impeccable. WHAT? Terrible food but noteworthy service? That hardly ever happens. I visited 20 minutes before closing and was told to take my time. The manager said that he wanted me to enjoy my dining experience and he even made a fresh pizza for me with the toppings I wanted. He greeted me immediately. And he noticed me leaving, and sidestepped his tasks to thank me for coming, and he wished me a good evening. He was cleaning, switching out food, and communicating with staff and guests the entire time I was there. Really, there was nothing he could have done better, which is why this review makes me sad. I’d give a king’s ransom if this place would even provide a mediocre, edible product. THEFEELING Well, again oddly, I felt bloated for not having eaten much. And it wasn’t salt induced, because there was no sodium detectable in anything. I felt guilty for having consumed this«food.» I think I actually felt sick! FINAL In conclusion, Tazino’s is like that non-argument you have with your significant other. It’s like the airport scene in Stephen King’s «The Langoliers.» You’d have to see the movie to understand the reference. Tazino’s: «Like water, only you can chew it!»

Tazino’s is a fairly solid buffet option. It was clean when I visited and the buffet was kept fresh regularly. I also enjoyed there variety of different types of pizzas. The price was fair and the service was friendly. A quick lunch or a low key dinner is a great option for Tazino’s.

My friend and I were in need of some quick lunch in Oak Creek and we thought we’d give this place a whirl. The place is clean and the layout is functional while providing some degree of privacy. The buffet is okay. I was most impressed with the selection at the salad bar. Four types of lettuce and a wide array of toppings — I really like that! The pizza was not to my liking though(seemed old and cold) and there were a bunch of empty trays where other options should be. We came at an off peak time but there were enough people in and out that I thought they could have tried to have more variety. Everything here was pretty standard and I did not try anything that would make me want to go out of my way to come back.

I will preface this review by saying buffets creep me out; I’m such a germaphobe, I just can’t do it. In addition, the quality of the food is usually pretty poor. But Tazinos is the bomb. The food is fresh, and there is always plenty of fresh pizza and pasta on the buffet. In addition to being fresh, it’s delicious. I’m partial to the chicken, bacon ranch pizza. Also, if you want a pizza custom made that’s not on the buffet, they will make it for you. Also, the salad bar is pretty great. Instead of limp iceberg lettuce and slimy veggies; they have fresh spinach, romaine, tofu, a TON of different veggies– even edamame. The value is great, especially if you have kids. You can’t beat a $ 5.00AUCE kids dinner– seriously. Especially if that dinner is made with quality ingredients you feel good about. All and all– clean atmosphere, tasty food and good value.

Tried a deal on Living Social to try their buffet. I have to say they need to take a lesson from CiCi’s Pizza… you have to clear your own tables after eating AND the hostess does not explain what the process of the buffet is… you get one set of silverware and the two times I have dined here they are never fully stocked… have to wait for pizzas… I recommend to pay half the cost and put it in your gas tank to go enjoy CiCi Pizza in West Allis. We won’t be back — unless someone else wants to pay the outrageous prices and clear our dishes

We were hungry for pizza and wanted to try the new crazz in Milwaukee. Our first mistake was going on a Friday night at dinner time. The two birthday parties inside made it worse. Once we made it through the buffet line, the food was hot and fresh. They have a set number of varieties that included a basic sausage, pepperoni and a signature buffalo chicken. The chicken style was probably the best buffalo chicken I have had but the other standards were mildly tasty. The cheese sticks need serious help but the cinnamon bread was good. The Mac and Cheese used rotini noodles but as you can see in the photo needed pepper to help the cheese. The dining area was clean and had plenty of seating even though they were really busy. The salad bar was very good but lacked a French/western type dressing. Not a Pizza Ranch but Overall a good pizza for a buffet style pizza place.

Now, let me start by saying this buffet is only 6.99÷7.99 for adults. You’re not going to get a ton of bells and whistles. With that being said… The second we walked in I was pleasantly surprised! Atmosphere The décor was so cute! It reminded kind of like a Panera but a little nicer. It was great because there was plenty of seating… An you never felt like you were on top of other tables. Food Amazing variety! Good size salad bar — not as many selections as a sweet tomatoes. But a good selection. Several pre-made, fun and Delish salads too! The pasta was good… But my least favorite between all their choices. Pizza was outstanding! So many fun varieties… And all extremely tasty! You can tell they use fresh ingredients. A must go!

My first experience with an all you can eat pizza, salad bar and a few dessert offerings. The price also includes a soft drink. Great place for kids & families or groups. The food is pretty good. There is a quick turnover of food so they are continually adding fresh stuff. They had a few TV’s going with sport channels showing. I’d go here again… if I lived in the area.

Less than spectacular. If you like typical buffet style Pizza and want all you can eat, this place is for you. My favorite on the buffet was the brownies and cinnamon bites. Kids under 3 are free, so it is a good place to take the family for a cheap dinner.

The best way I can describe Tazinos is this: It is what it is. Small Pizza buffet with a decent amount of options, a couple deserts and a decent salad bar. I did enjoy the buffalo chicken pizza, but aside from that everything was just ok. Honestly, this is the best pizza buffet I’ve been to and my buddy is absolutely in love with the place. It blows CiCi’s out of the water and if you are in need of a a quick cheap lunch in Oakn Creek its a good choice.

I finally got the chance to stop in here after a Dr’s appointment the other day. I was quite impressed with the quality of the pizza. They cut their slices very thin, which, in this case, is a good thing because I could try several different types. My favorites were the Caprese(Mozzarella, Tomato, Basil) and the Tailgater(Bratwurst, Peppers, Onions, BBQ sauce and Mustard). Many of their Pizzas seemed a little weird, but they all worked. They are Wheelchair accessible and the staff is friendly and willing to help. A few other interesting tidbits. The Manager also mentioned that you can request any Pizza on their list and they can have it ready in 5 to 10 minutes. They offer whole Pizzas for carryout . They are also available for catering. MATC Faculty and Students can get a 10% discount until December 18th.

Tazinos is a small but interesting pizza buffet. With the demise of Shakey’s, a new option is quite welcome in the area. It’s definitely not a replacement for Shakey’s, but is its own new and exciting thing. The restaurant is small but smartly done, with several seating areas, including some seating with chalkboards for children. A number of different seating options are available. It’s a bus-yer-own-tables affair, which seems strange, but given the price, is a fair tradeoff. The buffet appears distressingly small at first glance, but it is very competently done. The pizzas are small but varied, which means that they’re constantly putting new ones out. The remarkable thing is how *good* the pizzas are. They’re very flavorful, with a very nice medium homemade crust, and really good toppings in great combination. There are also pastas, breadsticks, a reasonable salad bar, and desserts. It’s easy to miss, but there’s also a rack of spices sitting next to the soda machine, if you feel the need to spice up your pizza further. The kitchen area is in sight, and you can see the pizzas and other stuff as they’re prepped. The staff does a good job of keeping busy. There seem to be some pizzas that they do really well, and I highly recommend the Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza(it seems to be on the buffet most of the time). They had an interesting Caprese pizza out for our last visit, that was very good as well. We also really liked the cinnamon twist strips that they had out as one of the desserts. The staff is very service-oriented. Especially when it’s slow, they’ll ask(sometimes repeatedly) if there’s any specific pizza that we’d like them to put out. Tazinos seems a bit staff-heavy during the slower times, but it is clearly a well-organized system that keeps things flowing smoothly. The owner is frequently around, which can only help to improve the business. The amazing thing, though, is that it’s cheap. Soda included, a lunch is only six and a half, and dinner only seven and a half. It’s not a Cici’s in terms of size and variety, but then again, it’s not a Cici’s in other ways either. Tazinos seems like a great idea, and they’re opening other locations. I just hope that it is wildly successful.
