Located on a depressed looking section of 9 Mile in Oak Park. Easy street parking. A take out pizza place with an oversized kitchen area and a sectioned off waiting area with old chairs. The service is through a high window. The place appears dingy and old. The pizza is okay but not anything great. During my visit a local resident with severe mental issues was in the waiting area ranting random words. No one raised an eyebrow.

Great pizza. Not greasy like some chains. The breadsticks are light not heavy and dense. The sauce is not acidic which I am a huge fan of. Great food at a great price.

Just outside of my neighborhood, this place continues to be a standby when i don’t feel like cooking or going out. The pizza is cheap and pretty good if you ask me. A large 4 topping pizza with butter garlic crust is $ 10 out the door and always ready in 15 mins. Not too shabby. I pretty much stick to the pizza, i had the steak grinder once and it was ok. If there was one complaint it would be some sparse pepperoni here and there, but for the price… whatever.

I have had pizza from Pizza Square twice since moving to Oak Park. I honestly forgot what my opinion was the first time so I figured they deserved a second chance.. . I am sure I would have remembered if it was dreadful. What’s nice about Pizza Square is that they are open until 11 during the week. They have a lot of items on the menu including a large one topping/medium 2 topping/small three topping pizza for $ 5.55. Most recently I ordered a medium pineapple and mushroom pizza and a small order of cheese bread, because like a true American, I am all about the cheese bread. The pizza is pretty average and completely eatable but nothing special. I wish they did something more with the crust. The cheese bread is also pretty standard though I wish it had more flavor. If this pizza were a color it would probably be tan or maybe generic green. The storefront for Pizza Square isn’t much to look at, then again, if you’re picking up a pizza it doesn’t really matter. I would order pizza again from Pizza Square but they wouldn’t be my first choice to satiate a pizza craving.

this is the only pizza place we have had since moving to ferndale. the deals are just amazing. the pizza is above par. much better than hungry howie’s, but nowhere near the pizza heaven of say renshaw’s bar or louie’s. the cheese is flavorful and the crust is alright. the sauce is so-so and kinda more vinegary for my liking. could use a little sugar in the sauce. they have some serious deals here. like large 3 toppings for 7.99. you have to call because they have a million deals. all of them are actually written on posterboard inside the place by somebody with very child-like handwriting. the guys here are nice and the pizza is always ready when i go to pick it up. 2 pluses in my book. so what if the place kinda looks a little dumpy. they gots the deals! love, juston

You may say to me, Geese, how come so many of your reviews are so high? My answer would be because I am thinking positively these days thanks to Jackasses like Tony Robbins, Richard Bandler and Napoleon Hill and so the places I think about first are the ones I am fond of.(those of you who got the humor in that last sentence without having to read this statement; I appreciate your sense of humor since it is alot like mine.) Oh… I’m doing a review. So this place is fricken AWESOME as far as those nights at home when you’re too lazy to go get your food since in Ferndale everything is at least 2 minutes away(you might even have to drive 10 minutes round trip!) What’s the secret? Well they have a Dirt Cheap Menu and A huge selection of Food. It’s almost like a Coney on wheels, they might even have coneys; I’m not sure but they for sure have burgers and fries as well as chicken, fish, salad, shrimp, pizza, subs, and a whole lot of other stuff. All cheap and ALL deliverable LATE. I am for sure on weekend nights they either deliver either till 12 or 1am. Weekdays may be till 11. It’s late is all I know. It takes up to 45 minutes sometimes but then you get your box of, lets say catfish and you realise it’s HEAVY with food — like heavy. You can hardly order something without getting breadsticks automatically. And it’s dirt cheap. If I could find a menu I would upload a picture so you can get my drift. Here’s what you do. When you want pizza next time call this place and order it. They have round and square. Ask them to be sure to send you a menu. You just don’t get it, yet. I used to work in a Pizza-joint way back in another lifetime so I can appreciate a good one and this is my on-call place. I can blab and blab all day about this place and until you try it for yourself you wont understand. The food is adequate for delivery — like good. So my rating is based on a scale of other places that deliver food. Is there a 5 star place? I mean, if you know of one tell me cuz I don’t. Maybe in New York or something… Enjoi
