Brown Sugar Bakery

I was extremely disappointed in this restaurant today. I went to visit my daughter in Oakland and she picked this restaurant so that 5 of her friends could meet us and we could all eat breakfast. I got there a little before 11:00 with Devon. The host took our name. He never ever said that «all your party must be here before you put your name in» — he told us it would be a half an hour. All of these people were arriving for brunch. Parties of 2, 3 or 4. Another one of my daughter’s friend showed up and we politely let the host know. it was a party of 8 rather than 7. Sure he says. All of us were at the restaurant by 11:30. It’s now 12:15 and he said «I can’t seat all of you together I will have to put you at two tables» — we begrudgingly said okay. So we, who are all starving, thought any minute. He kept walking past all of us to inform others that they could be seated. We asked him what was going on and he then told us we would have to sit at different tables at different times. He completely lied to us the entire time we asked him a question. We were there waiting for 2 hours treated like we did not exist. He was awful. He has now lost all of us as customers, any of our friends will never go to this restaurant. Somebody needs to train him how to deal with more than 4 in a party.
