Recently was in the market for a sit to stand desk for my husband’s birthday. He has had constant back pain from sitting at the desk all day. Went to Copenhagen Furniture in Oakland because a friend had told me that he had gotten a desk there and loved it. Our sale associate Jeff took good care of us. Very accommodating and knowledgeable on the products. We got lucky because they had just gotten a shipment of desks and with in a few days my husbands new desk was delivered and all set up. The gentleman who did the delivery and his crew were very nice, even help me move another desk out of the way. My husband was very excited to receive this gift but even better his back pain is much better. Think I’ll get one for myself!

You’ll likely find bigger crowds at Room and Board or Scandinavian Designs, but I recommend that you also investigate the offerings at Copenhagen Furniture. It’s within walking distance of the Coliseum BART station — although the walk won’t take you through one of the East Bay’s most endearing neighborhoods — and they stock pieces that are reasonably priced and as attractive as anything I’ve found at other retailers in the Bay Area. Chances are, the store on San Leandro saves on rent.
I ordered a dining table and set of chairs, which struck my fancy more than any comparable offering at the competing furniture stores named above Both of the sales people were quite helpful. I’ll give four stars rather than five, because I had to pay a premium to have the order delivered promptly … but the installer was as friendly and conscientious a fellow as I’ve ever met. He took at least an extra ten minutes to offer some helpful «do’s» and «don’ts» for care of the wood, and also left off a complimentary bottle of oil, too. Can’t do much better than that!

They carry classic teak Scandinavian furniture. Justin, the salesperson was very helpful in explaining which items are special ordered from overseas and takes some time to get, and which items are in-​stock. If you remember their store in San Francisco, you’ll recognize the items they carry. Some floor samples were on sale at a good price.

My wife decided to spurge and buy a Stressless recliner.
We picked the chair — color — leather — size and ordered it: Stressless Large $ 2500
There is a 33% non-​refundable deposit on this order.
When it came in — Wrong chair!
Salesman ordered a Stressless Wing! Copenhagen language wing = medium
We wanted a large = eagle — so I refused to accept it.
It had wing on the purchase order which I reviewed and signed.
I had to split the 33% non-​refundable deposit
and pay an additional $ 378.67 to order another chair.
Definitely a no star if I could.
I was a very unhappy customer and they didn’t care, no sympathy.

Furniture is ok. Its the delivery where they are ridiculous. They deliver to SF only on Thursdays. And you cant choose time slot. you only can blackout some time in that day. and guess what? it costs you 20 bucks on top of delivery price. Its already 8 days passed since I bought the sofa and I will be waiting 9 more days. I guess those guys are living in 19^th century and transferring my sofa by horse cab. Even that would have been quicker.

Recently, my husband and I bought our first home. We were in need of new furniture, on a budget, and too tired to assemble our furniture. We wanted a good value and stylish coffee table. While commuting on a BART and heading towards the Oakland Coliseum Station, I spotted the store. Me and my husband ventured out on the weekend to the store and weren’t sure what we’d fine. We were impressed with the selection, never felt any sales pressure and purchased a coffee table that we’re continuing to get compliments on. Wonderful furniture, friendly and helpful sales people. We’re coming back.
