This review is for a pickup order, I’m sure lots of people use it for delivery instead cause its on every app ever. Fiancée picked the 14 inch mango medley with cheesy bread. I’ve had Indian pizza places before and went into this open minded. Took only about 15 minutes from when I put in the order to the time it was ready, which is exactly how long it takes to get there. The neighborhood was… interesting to say the least. It’s surrounded by a hair store and a liquor store. The interior is sparsely appointed, as I don’t think they get too many walk ins. Service was with a smile and it looked like the owner was wandering around too. Got home and popped those bad boys open. The cheesy bread was about 8 inch diameter and had awesome cheese to go along with a light mint chutney between the cheese and bread. The mango medley pizza was cooked on a screen and could have used a little more time in the oven. The toppings were onion garlic mango and green bells. The mango was fresh! Which was a nice treat. The veggies were well seasoned and not over or under done. Cheese was properly cooked and divided as well, and the pizza itself was cut evenly, which, believe it or not, is a challenge for some pizza joints. I want to explore some of their meat options in the future to get a better idea of the quality of the ingredients. But a definite thumbs up in my book!

Oh my word!!! Guys, listen. Like really listen. This place is the freaking . I just moved to Emeryville and hadn’t made dinner for the night. My boyfriend and I decided to search for something close by that had good reviews on Unilocal. We happened upon other places as we searched but eventually settled on Namaste Pizza since we kept remembering how great the menu sounded. Well, let me tell you. We made the decision to get the chicken pizza masala and cheesy bread. I literally cannot tell you how excited we were to enjoy this meal. We drove on the way home with the pizza in the car and our noses constantly wafting a smell of the deliciousness that awaited us. Our first taste of the cheesy bread was divine. I remember seeing a twinkle in my boyfriends eyes for how tasty the bread was. The pizza was equally as epic!!! You can really taste the thought and care that went into making the pizza. Big time flavor and fresh ingredients. We are looking forward to what pizza awaits us next. Price for these pizzas can be deterring but to be honest the taste will make you instantly forget how much poorer you are. Take my money Namaste Pizza!

If you love Indian food AND pizza, you have to check this place out. It’s a no brainer. The two food types work surprisingly well together. It’s so unique; I’ve never had anything like it! The place is small, but quaint, with a few tables to dine in. I shared the 12 inch Chicken Pizza Masala with my bf(one of the most popular pizzas), and it was more then enough for us two. The taste was just the right amount of spice, and it was loaded with cheese and toppings. Add some parmesan cheese, and it’s perfect. I would highly recommend stopping by if you’re ever in the area. I can’t wait to go back and try more!

I LOVETHISPLACE. The minty bread is fucking amazing. I could eat that as a meal in itself. They usually have a coupon for free minty bread for carry out with an order of a large pizza. We tried the organic kale pizza and chilifornia. Both so flavorful and delicious. It’s definitely a heavy meal so you’ll probably be in a day long food coma but so worth it. BRB ordering more namaste pizza.

I am not a big fan of Indian food, but omg, this pizza was amazing! The paneer tikka pizza was spicy so get that if you like hot things. There were plenty of chicken on the chicken masala pizza and it was white meat chicken too. Plus, the chicken wasn’t dry! Amazing! The gyro pizza had plenty of lamb on it as well! So good! And the most unique pizza, the aloo Gobi pizza reminded me of the aloo Gobi dish my mom sometimes makes at home. It tasted so good and like French fries! Definitely try that if you want something healthy! It may be pricey for pizza, but hey it’s worth it! There are plenty of pizza around this location that costs a lot more but isn’t as great as this place!

Pros: They don’t skimp on toppings Cons: — Too much toppings, seriously — Flavor is unbalanced — Crust is bland and chewy — Cheese is flavorless — Pepperoni they use is flavorless — Chicken they use is favorless — If you look at the underside of the crust, it has holes and a cross-etching, so the crust is probably bought from somewhere and not made fresh in-house, which would explain why it’s so bland I don’t get a sense that these guys care about making a good food product. Throwing a bunch of stuff on some dough is NOT a pizza. I’m surprised it has such good ratings. Mountain mike’s is better, though still not amazing

This place is AMAZING! Love the spicy tomato sauce(medium), sooo good. Pick up in 15 min, never a wait, you eat ever slice. If you like Amazonas, or Lanesplitter, this is the upgrade you’ve been looking for. (PS: I only did 4 stars because I haven’t done delivery yet) NOM a NUM!

The chicken tikka masala was bland and tasteless. They really should actually add more curry sauce to the pizza. Everything tasted dry…

Overpriced garbage and no it was not reminiscent of Indian food or a Greek gyro. Showed up cold. Crust was bland and chewy. «Garlic sauce» was non-existent. The cheese was the worst part, really bland and cheap tasting. The tomatoes and peppers probably came in pre-chopped and frozen off a cisco truck. The lamb had a little bit of spice to it and was the only decent tasting part but is most likely as poor quality as the other ingredients. By the time you spend on delivery fees, tax and tip, you’re out 35 $ on a twelve inch pizza! Which could be worth it if they gave one crap about making a decent pizza. Even worse though, it instantly gave me diarrhia. I hate writing bad reviews but this place is a rip off. Another reviewer said her salad had mold all over it! Better off buying a frozen pizza. Most brands of frozen pizza are much more satisfying. The driver was friendly and showed up early, so the tip was the only money not wasted.

I would like to personally thank whoever came up with this masala pizza — like have a parade for you and dedicate a day to just this pizza. I consider myself a pizza connoisseur(for whatever that’s worth, but I’ve had A LOT of pizza) and this takes the cake… or pie? Do yourself a favor and just come here next time you are tempted by any other pizza, because I can(almost) guarantee it won’t even come close to Namaste!

Review update! The minty bread I thought I ordered was actually garlic bread! The owner kindly offered a free order of minty bread so I can actually give it a try! Props for solid customer service. —- Original review —- This is a solid spot for delivery or carry out. Do NOT eat at the restaurant as seating is not ample or appropriate for dining in. I had the minty bread and the chicken pizza masala. The minty bread was a little mild and was lacking in the amount of mint I saw in other Unilocal pics. The flavor was garlicky but nothing special. I would skip this. The chicken pizza masala however is delicious. Chicken chunks marinated with spices and yogurt resulting in TENDER bites with a kick! The spice is balanced well with the garlic sauce, fresh red onions, tomato and cilantro. This pizza is a million times better than dominos and a thousand times better than papa johns(so you get an idea of dominos crappiness). The owners are very friendly and this place is family owned so you’re not putting money into a cardboard making machine. Oh and another plus about this pizza is the texture of the crust! Not oily or burnt, but rather chewy with a crunchy outside reminiscent of the texture of naan. I will be ordering here again. Also as a tip if you’re lazy and don’t want to pick up use a Eat24 coupon code to cover the $ 2 delivery fee! As usual delivery takes time, but if you carry out your pizza will be ready in 15−20min. YES.

This is a refreshing twist on your classic cheese or pepperoni pizza, and one that I prefer to the rest. I mean, come on, indian food and PIZZA? That’s a recipe for amazing. This place didn’t disappoint! Ordered from here a few times and the pizza always arrives fresh. The crust has a light crispiness that you can hear when you bite in, but it’s soft, warm and flaky inside Personal recommendations here are the paneer pizza and the mint namaste bread! Both are vegetarian options, but they pack in so much flavor with a refreshing twist that you won’t mind. For those that aren’t familiar, paneer is kind of like cubes of cheese, and the pizza is packed with tomatoes, paneer, cilantro(?) and more! The mint namaste bread has a kind of mint-infused base kind of like a pesto and mozzarella cheese melted on top. So basically you’re getting delicious minty cheesy bread. Writing this review makes me crave more; so for your next movie night(Netflix and chill?), go for a slice of Namaste!

I wasn’t really sure how I would like these Indian themed pizzas, so didn’t really have it on my list. However they catered a recent Unilocal event and I was able to try 4 or five, and boy am I glad I did! The combinations are really tasty and fun! I especially liked the chicken masala and the spicy gyro — two great flavor combinations. The tandoorlicious pizza was also very good. I highly recommend giving them a shot — and I am adding them to my list as a regular in the pizza rotation.

Heard about this spot from a co-worker and decided to check it out. I mean, c’mon, Indian food on pizza? Heck to the yes. Unfortunately, this spot fell short. Maybe I should’ve ordered the tikka masala pizza as I originally planed. Instead, I asked the guy on the phone which he could recommend, tikka or gyro. He said he liked the gyro. I went with it. We ordered for delivery and we were told an hour. An hour and a half later, nothing. No call. No pizza. We decided to call and we were told the pizza was en route. About 15 minutes later, the pizza arrived… COLD. Sigh. We threw our slices in the microwave which ruined everything about a fresh pizza. The crust was super thick. The toppings were decent. I was not a fan of the gyro as it was dried out. I believe that the flavor profile of this pizza had good intentions. I will give it another whirl… next time, I’ll try the tikka masala. Oh, and I’ll pick up my pizza instead.

After passing my qualifying exam, I decided to celebrate with my girlfriend by getting dinner at a restaurant I had been dying to try, Namaste Pizza. Everything on the menu looked enticing, but we ultimately decided to get the chicken pizza masala with a side of minty bread. If you go to Namaste Pizza, you must try the minty bread. The rich, buttery bread is covered in a zesty mint chutney and topped with wonderfully melty cheese. I could have ordered just the minty bread and left the restaurant happy. It even comes with a tomato dipping sauce, but the chutney is so flavorful that you don’t even need dipping sauce. I would highly recommend this side dish. Before I describe the chicken pizza masala, let me say that my expectations for this pizza could not have been higher. Chicken tikka masala is my favorite Indian dish, and I had just eaten the amazing minty bread. That is why I found the chicken pizza masala to be pretty disappointing. Don’t get me wrong, the pizza was still really good. The chicken was juicy, all of the veggies were fresh, the cheese was gooey and melted perfectly into the crisp but still chewy dough. However, the pizza lacked any real spice and the sauce was quite bland. There also wasn’t the rich, creamy tomato-y taste that I associate with chicken tikka masala. I think they should try using a spicy tomato-based sauce instead of just putting diced tomatoes on the pizza. Next time I will try the spicy gyro pizza. Maybe that one has some more pep to it. Overall, I really enjoyed the food at Namaste Pizza and would definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys pizza and Indian food.

I was introduced to Namaste Pizza by way of a Unilocal Elite Event and fell in love with the idea of the ingredients and spices typical of Indian food on the classic Italian staple: pizza. From the first bite, I knew that Namaste had found a perfect pairing, a magnificent marriage, a tantalizing taste or whatever other alliterative phrase you can come up with to describe a delicious and unique concept sure to get gobbled up in seconds. I sampled two vegetarian specialties but fell hardest for the Organic Kale Paneer pizza, a sultry blend of paneer(that’s fresh cheese, for those of you not yet initiated into the joy that is Indian cooking – you should really get into it!), onions, organic kale and tomatoes. Well-seasoned without being overpowering, assertive without being aggressive… Each ingredient sang without taking over the entire choir, if you know what I’m sayin’. I will definitely be stopping by Namaste to try other flavors soon!

Heard about this mythical place when chicken tikka masala and pizza are wondrously combined but I never had the chance to try it… until now. Someone in the office(okay so it was actually me. whatever) was really craving pizza since Tuesday but unfortunately this place wasn’t open for lunch. Sadness! All good… the waiting was well worth it. We call ahead and order not one, not two, but five pizzas, one of which of course was the famed tikka masala pizza. I’m not too crazy about the bread itself– it does its job of holding up the toppings well enough, but was just shy of being bland, especially at the crust. Not thin enough to really be thin crust, not really thick enough to be the chewy, breadsticky kind of crust either but it’s alright. Now the chicken masala though… FANTABULOUS! Sauce was rich and creamy, great calls on the amount of onion and cilantro, healthy chunks of chicken perfectly seasoned and cooked to juicy perfection… definitely recommended! (It should also be noted that I ate this pizza after our courier coworkers kindly brought the to-go pizza back to the office. I can’t even imagine how much more delicious this pizza would have been fresh outta the stove at the restaurant!)
