Suspiciously good! Food delivered exactly 60 minutes after order. Will order again!

Stopped by for my first time, and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered the Go Go Tray, and it was enough for probably about 3 people. They prepared it within their estimated time, threw in some panda candy for my boys, and had all you would need to eat(chopsticks, chopstick trainers, napkins, wasabi, soy sauce, etc…) Would go back and grab another tray if headed to a party or got nothing planned for dinner. Need to try their sashimi next time.

I really enjoy this little spot across from Mills College. Fresh and easy! This spot is best for pickup! I use them for my parties, book clubs and other easy events. Fresh fish… Everyone loves it!

Alright, so I was kinda nervous about ordering delivery sushi but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised(for the most part) I ordered the sushi combo which was $ 21 plus delivery and tax came out to be $ 27. It was delicious all except the fried JP «something or other» that one was very dry and I would almost say«tough» but the lion king roll was delicious! The young man that delivered was sweet and it took exactly an hour for the sushi to arrive. They quoted an hour and it was to the T! Will order from them soon!

No, just no. I am not sure if they are under new ownership or what, but our food did not match the pictures others took of their orders. We ordered a 36.00 platter of rolls and they were all cooked and deep fried. Normally when you order salmon, it is raw, but this was cooked(previously frozen?) I’ve had tempura sushi before, but this was all deep fried like fast food and everything had that orange california roll filling. It was pretty gross. For 50+ dollars before tip or tax we will go elsewhere from now on and we live less than a mile away. I’m seriously doubting the authenticity of some of these reviews. Yech.

I was shocked by the location but the sushi was great for the price! The shop is relatively clean, but there is only one table so plan on picking up or having them deliver your food! I would definitely revisit the place and continue to order when I need quick sushi.

I ordered Sushi Go Go with Eat24 and it took way too long to deliver. I think they were 30 minutes to 45 minutes late. The driver gave back part the tip I gave online and explained his car broke down. I don’t think this is usual for them but was quite the inconvenience. When I called to ask where the delivery was, the staff wasn’t super helpful or friendly. The sushi was okay though and value for money is pretty good.

Not always wanting to go downtown Oakland, San Leandro or Hayward sooooooo, here we are in East Oakland… Thanks to my fellow helpers, you guys rock! Located at the Gas Station off High St. exit on 580… By the directions alone, I knew where I was going… Wanted some Sushi on Friday after a looong week, my order: Gyoza(Chicken Pot stickers) — I ate them on the drive home, I loved them, very light not heavy nor full of dough! Its full of meat & the Chili Sauce was on point. Lion King– Let me say this… its all in the sauce, I’ve had bold sauces & super weak bland sauce… This place nails it, hands down ! No fish eggs sprinkled on top… just meaty salmon with that perfect Lion King Sauce PERFECTO! If you can get pass the Gas Station, your in for a treat! I’ll definitely be back soon! Way to go !

This is the worst goddamn sushi I’ve ever had. I live three blocks from Sushi Go-Go and was so excited to see a four star sushi restaurant close to me. I can’t tell if the reviews are by friends of the owner or if they were Unilocalers paid to give it good reviews or what but I can honestly say I would rather go hungry than eat here again. The fish tastes like it has freezer burn. It’s chewy, fishy, and sour. The wasabi they serve comes in a PLASTICPACKET.

Above and beyond my expectations for gas station sushi. There are plenty of better places in the Bay Area, but almost none will give you the deals on price and quantity for this tasty sushi. If you use the $ 10 for $ 7 deal, make sure you call them and don’t use the Unilocal/EAT24 apps to order it or else you won’t get the deal. We got 2 orders of poké, a California roll, and the lucky party platter for 4 people. We supplemented a little on our own with some salad but generally that was a good amount of food to order. Everything was tasty, nothing was exceptional, but it was cheap, fast, and filling. Staff members were helpful and polite.

We used the 7 for $ 10 Unilocal deal and our total came out to be about $ 15 after tip and tax for the«funny» tray. Sushi is mostly rice but works if you want a quick sushi fix that won’t break the bank or want to feed a bunch of people! We called ahead about 20 minutes before our iMaps ETA, so when we got the sushi it wasn’t super cold(kind of scary!) but we didn’t get sick so all is well? The guys working were friendly and pick up went without a hitch. tl;dr 3.5 stars for value but the sushi was probably a 2.5.

Welp, they changed up their menu again(the joke they called ramen is gone, among other changes). They’ve also upped their delivery fee, minimum order amount for delivery, and overall prices. They ditched all the nice packaging, so expect your food to come haphazardly tossed in a plastic clamshell now. This time around we ordered two basic tolls — Alaska and Shrimp Tempura(roll made from tempura shrimp) — which were absolutely delicious. My partner was really craving tempura, so we also ordered two tempura rolls(regular rolls that are then deep-fried). Normally, these would be deep-fried whole, and then sliced. In past orders from here, the JP tempura roll has been large and delicious! But this time they took a miniature JP and a California roll, sliced them, then deep-fried each piece until it burned. We got a weird, cold pile of dried out, burned sushi. It was gross. Photo attached. EDIT: tried the shrimp«burrito» today and was pleasantly surprised! It looked smaller than I expected, but it was actually perfect. The rice-to-filling ratio was spot on, and the portion was more than adequate. Could do without mayo inside, but otherwise it was pretty tasty :)

I love the lion king roll here It is great. The location is in a gas station but I never seem to mind. Food is delicious despite location. Prices are descent. Definitely worth it for the lion king roll!

Totally underestimated this place. I drive by on my way home everyday, and I usually don’t go for it because it’s next to a gas station. I regret not trying this place sooner! All of the food is great here, all fresh ingredients and the staff is very friendly. Totally surprised with the great quality of fish. Also, try the Takoyaki! You won’t regret it. Great food, affordable and fresh. You can’t beat it. Definitely recommending this place to everyone.

Ok first let me say the Area is great, it is a wonderful part of Oakland, next the Sushi is fantastic, yes you will be taken back by the fact it is in a gas station but good food is where you find it. Not a big fan of Shell gas, they can be on the high side but the Sushi is top notch and fresh. Can not wait to go back, they are quick and do a good job with to go. Just be careful the cooks smoke cigarettes outside then go make the sushi kind of dangerous given the health concerns and this is a gas station

Wow. First off, this is not in a great area. The only reason I found myself here for lunch on a Saturday was because I had a class at Mills College and was looking for something other than Subway. Don’t let the hours fool you, if the door is open, they’re open. The inside is very Spartan, with little to no decorations and only 6 chairs. The sushi is good. Not just good for gas station sushi, either. Legit good and surprisingly affordable, plus they have a 10-for-7 Unilocal deal and a Groupon. Definitely going to this place whenever I’m at Mills again… but probably only in daylight. The cash registers are behind security glass for a reason.

Thanks Groupon! Yep, I’ve lived nearby this spot for three years and just now discovered it, on Groupon offering $ 15 groupon for $ 30 worth. I gave it a go for lunch, and then some. The location is so twisted, at a gas station. I love quirky places like this. I got my grub to go and am home now slapping it down. It’s so good, and the pork ramen whoa perfect! Thanks Sushi Go Go.

Unbelievable is the word here. Sushi out of a gas station seems like the worst idea ever but I’ve ordered twice from here and it’s been delicious and satisfying! Good ol’ Americanized rolls and they even have nigiri and sashimi which I think are better than a lot of average sushi joints. If you take a platter home, I guarantee your family won’t be able to guess it came from such a humble location.

Its a sushi Joint in east Oakland located in a gas station, so you can’t really have high expectations. All that being said its ok for what it is, where it’s located, and definitely better than the sushi at Safeway. The nigiri was fine. Probably frozen but decent texture and taste. Rice was good. $ 20 roll tray is a lot of food but then you realize it’s 75% rice? It’s ok in a pinch but I’d rather drive downtown or fly back to Tokyo for some fresh fish.

Sushi GoGo shares a space with the Shell gas station. I pass by it all the time on my way home. I called in an order for pickup since I had been craving takoyaki and sushi. I ordered: 1 takoyaki — $ 5.95 1CA roll — $ 6.95 1 dragon roll — $ 11.95 1 spicy hamachi roll — $ 5.95 1 Alaska roll — $ 5.95 My order came to $ 40 w/tax included and it was ready to be picked up in 15 minutes. The food was good for a quick fix, but was lacking in some areas. The takoyaki looked bare, like it needed more sauce and bonito flakes. They had a nice crisp on the outside and was tasty. Their rolls were okay; the rice could’ve been seasoned a bit more and they love to decorate their rolls with sesame seeds. The salmon was chewy and the avocados in my rolls weren’t ripe. I’d come back for their takoyaki.
