Seemed a little over priced, and bland not very authentic. If I’m craving Mexican in that area I’ll take the extra 5 minutes and head to La Costa and if I don’t have the time I’ll just go across the street to taco bell

I arrived here just before 7pm to find a sign that said, «Sorry we’re closed». There were a couple of customers inside, but I don’t know why they closed a hour early. I’m new to the area and may try again, but tonight I’m trying LaCosta!

I love their food and customer service. Yolanda and her family are like my family! I have catered to the Big Break Visitor Center many times and all my guests always love the food and the customer care. I usually order the chicken and steak fajita bar and the tres leches cake that Yolanda makes herself. The cake is to die for, and not too sweet. My only complaint is that they always make me break my diet, because everything is so delicious.

My family and I have been eating here for years. Before Taquiza Limon, the owners also had 2 other restaurants that were very successful. My husband and I love coming here for their steak Cali burrito and regular steak burrito. Everything taste so fresh and you can tell they use a better quality of meat. Their salsa is to die for! So flavorful with the perfect amount of kick! We’ve also used them for catering and it was delicious and everyone kept asking about where we got the food from. We ordered their chicken and cheese enchiladas and had plenty left over that almost everyone ended up having seconds a few hours later. The restaurant is very clean and nice. The owners are very friendly and remember all their clients familiar faces.

I love how the food was not greasy! That’s usually my number one complaint but not here. I had the chicken enchiladas(w/no cheese — ugh I know so hard but trying to cut back on some things) with rice and beans. I added some salsa and guacamole and it was delicious! The grilled chicken super burrito was yummy too… I had a bite :)

I absolutely love this place! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed everything I’ve ordered off the menu! The owner’s take pride in their business and it shows. Everything is fresh and flavorful. Not the kind of salt overload flavorful you get at a lot of other Mexican restaurants, but the real food flavor. Chili rellenos are awesome, so are the tacos, super quesadillas, and oh, the Cali Fries. I hear the Cali fries are a southern CA thing but I’m surprised they haven’t caught on more here. You have to give this place a chance, you’ll be back!

One of those small out-of-the-way discoveries that offers very good Mexican food. Rather than the jarring, high-paced style of La Costas, Taquiza Limon is quiet and clean, with friendly service. Their fajita burrito is drool-worthy.

Four stars only because hours could be a little better. Every time I think of going the yard are closed. However if you catch them when open the owners are the sweetest people yet! you would feel like you came home to your parents for dinner.

I’ll get right to it … Found this place today on Unilocal and had the best burrito in all of Oakley!(I’ve tried 4 other restaurants) I ordered the shredded chicken Mucho Grande burrito and loved every bite! The shredded chicken was seasoned well and juicy. This burrito comes wet, topped with sour cream, guacamole and cheese. So good!!! And to top it off … The inside was clean with great friendly service. This is my new spot!

Love this place! The quality of food was very good!!! Didn’t even know this place was there, tucked away, and I only live ¼ mile away. Found out about it by scrolling through Unilocal… First, the food was tasty! Ordered the California burrito, Fajita burrito, and chicken quesadilla. Everything was grilled to order, from fresh, lean ingredients, not just slapped together from tubs of preheated ingredients, like La — – . No gristle in my carne asada steak meat on the burrito, and the added mole sauce to the burritos is very good, and unique! My wife LOVED her California burrito, which by the way is hard to find anywhere up here in NorCal, with the fries inside the burrito! My Fajita burrito was OUTSTANDING, and tasted just like a good fresh Fajita plate, all wrapped up neatly in a delicious burrito! Next time, I plan to try their tacos and Rellenos, and maybe even order some handmade tamales, which they sell by the dozen! Secondly, the place is clean and very charmingly decorated with authentic looking south-of-the-border décor. It’s small, only a few tables, but nice and inviting looking for a dine-in experience. Lastly, the owner is a super sweet lady and greeted me with warmth when I walked in! She’s happy to talk about her food, and just a down right nice lady! We will definitely be back again and again!!!

Good food in most places. This is amazing in Oakley. Had taco trio. The meat was succulent and tasty. I wish there were more spicy sauces available to increase the heat to a level I like. Would come back if in the area.

Not bad, but not great. I was on my way to a hair coloring appointment after visiting my folks in Oakley, when I realized I should probably get something to eat knowing the long process that awaited me at the salon. Taquiza Limon has been another little place that I had been somewhat curious about after discovering their opening a year or so ago. And being it was in route to my appointment, I figured it was worth stopping in to get a quick bite. Taquiza is located right off Main St, just across from the Raleys shopping area; nicely nestled between a handful of little shops such as Little Caesars, a little Salon, and just across from Starbucks. First of all, I have to say, that I absolutely LOVE the ambiance of this cute little place. The small, but endearing restaurant, really did a phenomenal job at executing that very classic, warm, Mexican decorative ambiance… warm terracotta like tile, bright, cheerful colors. This place was just charming to every last detail. Not to mention immaculately clean. 5 stars for ambiance for sure. Now for the food, they provide a basic, non extensive menu, including your standard Mexican dishes such as –Tacos, burritos, Chili Relano. ect Some items seemed a little pricey. I ended up just getting a 3 Taco special for like $ 7 and some change. It comes with Pico de gallo. I decided upon chicken. I also got a Diet Coke. It also came with some chips. I took a seat and admired the ambiance while waiting for my food. Food then arrived extremely fresh looking, but nothing authentic. The chicken and pico de gallo all tasted extremely fresh, and non existent of grease, however, the seasoning and flavor was just so-so. Honestly tasted like something I would had made at home. Not that, thats a bad thing of course :) Guess I just expected something a little more authentic. I didn’t eat most of the soft taco shells being I was in more of my low carb mode, but the few bites I did have of them, were ok. Service was decent and helpful. And even though the food was nothing really exceptional, I would certainly pay them another visit.
