I don’t write often, but I feel compelled this time! I can’t believe how many bad reviews are on here. The pizza is delicious, if a little on the greasy side. I tend to order the pizza ‘well done’. Ingredients are of similar quality of Z pizza but in the end I like this pie better. The pizza isn’t their only offering. the paninis are great! My fiancé isn’t a big pizza fan. but is always happy when I order from here.

Not bad for delivery. It took about 45 minutes and we live right down the street. The delivery guy forgot the sodas and the pizza was $ 20 for a large with two toppings. Thin and not much meat on the pie. Angelico’s definitely tops this one but I may have to try some other things before I give up entirely.

I haven’t tried the subs but the pizza is really good. It’s the best pizza that I’ve found in the Vienna area. I recommend the New York style pizza.

I became acquainted with Casanova’s because I wanted to test out their pizza compared to the local competition. The pizza is good and is thin style and the sauce has spices and flavor. One time I opted for a healthy alternative and the chef, AJ, suggested the«Casanova Salad» with the Caprese marinated tomatoes with olive oil, garlic, fresh spices, and lemon. It was fantastic and didn’t even need dressing which would have«gilded the lily». My friend also had this salad and found it one of the best she’s tasted. They also add fresh parmesan cheese shavings onto a heaping helping of ingredients which makes it a great, and healthy, value. The manager and cooks are always nice and cater to my every dietary preference, up to and including assembling ingredients for a salad I was bringing to a pot luck. They even give me little tastings if I’m not sure and this leads to my buying the item. AJ made a Cannoli right in front of me so I could see the technique. Steve, the manager, knows his food and explains how things are made and how the ingredients come together to blend the perfect flavor. I come away feeling like I am in good hands with quality food that’s worth the trip out. They like what they do, are proud of their food, and remember me and my selections which lends to a neighborhood feel and ease with the place. It’s bright, clean, and comfortable to eat there. They won my demanding palate and I’m a confirmed customer. Try them out, you won’t be disappointed!

Yay — a little more talent to the pizza scene in NoVa. I will admit it, I am a pizza freak. I love pizza of all kinds, but I am picky about what I call really good pizza. We went to Cassanova’s the other day and were pleasantly surprised. Granted, it is in another«strip mall». Don’t they know how to build anything else around here? So obviously, no ambiance but hey, who is complaining when there is a ton of parking. This is one of those places where I can see the local team going to after a game. But I digress, this is about the pizza. As other posters state, they hit the nail on the head when it comes to the crust. It is just the right chewiness, the salt level is very palatable and the slices are right sized. The sauces is a nice savory tomato sauce that does not leave too much of a tangy after taste in your mouth. the toppings seem to be very fresh. We ordered the Bella pizza which has arugula and prosciutto. The arugula had a beautiful fresh color and the prosciutto had some signs of being very good quality. The service is friendly. Again, this is not really a restaurant. it is a store front that just so happens to have seats and tables. In my humble opinion, the food deserves more than the restaurant, and NoVA deserves more pizza that tastes this good.

I’m from CT and NY and have high standards when it comes to pizza. Casanova’s is hands-down the best pizza I’ve had anywhere in Northern Virginia, and possibly even in DC. The pizza places around here fail miserably when it comes to the crust, but, not Casanova’s. Their crust is perfect. Sorry, Church Street Pizza, but you’ve lost me forever — your toppings are the freshest but your dough is overworked and chewy. I whole-heartedly encourage folks to give Casanova’s a try — they sell slices if you don’t want to try an entire pie. You won’t be disappointed. The subs and salads are tasty too, but it’s the pizza that keeps me coming back.
