Freckled Frosting

We love this place. We sought out a specialty bakery when family members began having dietary issues. Even those without issues love what we buy at Freckled Frosting, so it is one stop shopping. Worth the trip if you are not close. It is not cheap, but not unreasonable either. Everything is excellent, and the peace of mind knowing that everyone is safe eating their products is WELL worth it to us.

We discovered Freckled Frosting when our mother became lactose intolerant, and could not longer enjoy her beloved butter crème icing. We searched far and wide for alternatives, and found few bakeries willing/​able to make dairy-​free cakes for holidays. We first visited them in their Seymour location, but followed them to their Oakville location. In both places, the staff was friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to get us what we wanted. The cakes aren’t cheap, but the prices are reasonable for the custom work involved. They are very rich and sweet, so even small pieces are filling. And they’ll decorate it any way you want.
The only downside is the new location has very little parking on a very busy street. Be ready to circle around to find a spot, and once you are in to wait a while for traffic to clear enough to safely exit.
