Tudor Day Spa

I love Tudor. I’ve only seen 1 stylist, Rae, and she’s fantastic! Been going there for 2 years now. Staff is always friendly. I would recommend this salon to anyone.

For the record — I do NOT ever write reviews but I honestly feel strongly enough to post this.
I’m only writing a review on the Brazilian wax I received from Sherry — for all I know the rest of the Spa could be wonderful.
For those who just want the straight facts:
1. This lady does not use gloves.
2. She uses sugar wax — this is a MILLION times more painful than any other type of wax I’ve had done.
3. She reuses equipment (which i HOPE she sanitizes extremely well…)
4. (This is the least important thing to me but on top of everything…) She is somewhat rude and abrasive. She does not leave the room while you change and she was almost rude with me, accusing me of shaving when I told her I hadn’t etc…
I came to this place because it came up on Unilocal when I searched for a brazilian. Sherry is also fairly cheap which I was glad about. I wish I had read the negative reviews before I went because they are spot on. Unfortunately I went here for my first brazilian so I did not know any better but I will NOT be going back.
The thing that bothers me above everything else is the gloves and the equipment. I have no clue if this lady washes her hands between customers and how well she sterilizes the equipment. I know that I personally am «clean» but I have no idea what the girl with the appointment before mine was like… as a healthcare professional I am well aware of how easy it is to transmit diseases between people like this. It absolutely astounds me and plain grosses me out that she does not use gloves.
I went here 2 times…2x more than I should have. After going to other places (there are a LOT better places in the area) I see how terrible this one is. Until this lady gets educated about hygiene GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

Now that I’ve been to other spas I can honestly say, this is a great place if you want to get a Brazilian wax done in Dayton. As for the rest of the services offered here, I cannot say… but Sherry is great at what she does and she is incredibly fast.

I get manis-​hair and massage here. Great place!
