Went here for dinner, they where crazy busy as always… we sat at the bar. Wait staff was very friendly & nice. I don’t care for seafood so asked if one of the dishes could substitute chicken, it’s was no problem. Don’t get to pick your vegetable, and portions were slightly small. They do accept credit cards.

The outside dining area was a nice touch. Food is satisfying but nothing special. The service is always terrible. It always seems empty. But the location is nice and it is easy to get to.

Service good, food was good, chicken Oscar good, chicken could have been seasoned a little better.

One of the best spots to eat on the boardwalk. Prices are steep considering but the food is worth it.

I’m surprised by all the negative reviews. My experience here was great. Plenty of outdoor seating available. We were seated right away. We waited for about 5 minutes for a waitress, but it seemed like the manager maybe owner was really quick to make sure we were taken care of promptly. This place is probably just one of two on the boardwalk that are someone nice. Obviously many people come to the boardwalk for the boardwalk food, but after a while of walking sometimes you just want a nice quiet place to rest a bit. The food was good. My husband and I both got the crab cake sandwich. No complaint. We also got the cheese steak egg rolls for a starter. They were good, a little too cheesy for my taste. The only other thing I can say about this place is that I don’t think I could sit inside. The atmosphere was completely different, and it smelled a little funky.

Service was good, food was poor. Just went there for lunch, 6 of us. Was told sauté chef wasn’t in for lunch, came to understand that when fish taco’s and grouper sandwich came out well over cooked and just tasted like the fryer. Sweet pot fries were limp and seemed old, Everything was way overpriced. It may be better in the evening, but we won’t go back. It looks nice from the outside, but looks aren’t everything

Waited 15 mins for a table on Monday June 29th We had 2 strollers,(double strollers) and 4 adults total of 4 kids. They asked us to please keep strollers outside, we said sorry we are not leaving our expensive strollers on the boardwalk while we eat inside. The 2 kids we had are babies who were sleeping. Needless to say they worked with us and let us in with the strollers. That was the only really great part. Two of us orders the seabass and it was so cold we had to tell them… they had to take it back to «reheat». Was not happy about that. It tasted horrible after that. Dried out and still not warm /hot enough! My daughter got spaghetti in a olive oil, butter and garlic sauce and it was terrible. It was so watered down. How do you mess that up? The spare ribs were so fatty. The only really good thing are the cheesesteak egg rolls and the sweet potatoe fries. But really they are frozen foods and they are just fried so that was easy and of course you can not mess that up. I would not suggest going here. Weird bc we were here the past 4 years prior and loved the good. Chef and or management must have changed. Don’t go here. Save your money. You are so much better off going to Ocean Café on the boardwalk. Food is SO good at Ocean Café and being a huge foodie, this place was perfect! Went twice during our week trip!!! :)

The only reason I don’t give this a 5 star is because their portions were a bit small and the food wasn’t anything too special except for the dinner rolls. For some reason they were delicious. The other food was good but just good, nothing spectacular but nothing to complain about either. We waited for about ten minutes considering it was Fourth of July, but the waitress Samantha was great and attentive. The food came out fast and hot. The music was at a great level and some nice frank Sinatra most of the time.

Came here because it was convenient coming up from a day at the beach and we needed something easy since we had small children in our party. While we were seated right away, we were placed inside. The air conditioning was pumping on extra high and our whole party was freezing. We started with an order of the Mussels and were unimpressed… they tasted a little soggy. Their kids menu pricing was ridiculous so my sister ordered a chicken wrap so she could take out some chicken to share with her toddler. My mom ordered the chicken Parmesan and while the portion size was gigantic, the chicken was tough and overcooked. I ordered the crabcake salad that was clearly fake crab so overpowered by their crabcake mixture spices that I couldn’t even taste crab at all. My dad ordered the sea bass that he said was so bland he wasn’t even going to eat it. He wanted to ask for hot sauce. A very underwhelming experience, we couldn’t get out of there fast enough!

We’ve come here twice for lunch and enjoyed it both times. You can’t beat the location on the boardwalk and it’s better quality food than most of the places right on the boardwalk. We had the fish tacos and the crab wrap and both were good.

Not what it used to be. Went for here for dinner while on vacation, and first thing I notice is prices have gone up. I ordered chicken parmigian, which is my staple. It was medium sized, dried out and burnt, and did not have much sauce. Last year I was served a small piece, but good. Prior to that, I was served a large meal that was of excellent quality. The waitress was not great either. We sat without any food for over 20 minutes, watching another waitress consistently bring tables bread. Our waitress wasn’t even around. Finally, the food came, and we asked what was up with bread, and she tells us we have to ask for it! Nothing on the menu about that… The«view» isn’t worth it if you ask me.

My family and I arrived around 6:30 for dinner. Had to wait 20 minutes outside for a table. When we were finally showed to our table, I noticed that 25% of the tables were free. Not sure what was going on… then, we sat for 10 minutes before someone even came over to us. When I finally flagged down a server and told her, she acted surprised and said she«did not see us there.» Not a good start. From then, she was extra accommodating to us, sensing my unhappiness. The kids had their usual — grilled cheese and french fries, which were okay. I had a turkey rueben and«bag of chips» which was soggy and taste-less. almost sent it back, but i probably would have just left. Wife had a salad — nothing special. Wont’ be returning here, unfortunately.

The food was way over priced for bland food. One person in my party ordered chicken fingers and they were tasteless, rubbery, and the outside was over cooked. How can you mess up chicken fingers. I had the chicken pot pie. There were barely any veggies and maybe 3 pieces of chicken. The pastry on top was good, but not worth $ 16. Another person in my party had the bbq pulled pork sandwich and enjoyed it.

Nice place to eat on the boardwalk. Usually crowded unless of course it is off season. The service was a bit slow the night we were there, we could never seem to find our server. Where did the run off to? The seating is very nice with a good view of the boardwalk and sounds of the ocean. The food was so-so, we’ve had better elsewhere. There are several tvs inside and it can be a bit distracting at times, but all in all not a place to chow down.

This place has an amazing location and it looks pretty cool however the food is just kinda meh. I cant understand how a place like this would not try to be amazing and build a great reputation. They are on the best boardwalk in New Jersey in a prime spot with amazing views but the food falls far short. This one kinda broke my heart I really wanted it to be great.

You’ve heard«Don’t judge a book by its cover» — well we did when we picked this place for dinner. The outside seating area is very nice, looking very comfortable and upscale. It was a chilly night, so we opted for an inside table — what a change of atmosphere. The space was a very brightly lit, very spacious, uninspired dining room with not much in the way of decorations, other than large screen TVs on various walls. In most cases, a restaurant that has a very large menu has a hard time perfecting so many offerings. This was the case here. I felt that the«Island Shrimp» had arrived in the restaurant frozen and already breaded just waiting to be thrown into a deep fryer. The winner on this plate was the French Fries. Based on its texture, the Sea Bass also seemed to have been frozen and had little to no seasoning or taste. The best compliment given to this entrée was — well, it was edible. The vegetables were at least good. So, before tip, for around $ 43 for the above and a couple of coffees, we left very dissatisfied. And no surprise, we won’t be back.

Decent food, prime boardwalk location and great service. Came here for dinner because it was right near our hotel on the boardwalk and were impressed by the ambience, food and service. The outdoor seating is literally right on the boardwalk with a perfect view of the beach and Ocean! I had the salmon salad which was fresh and delicious and my mom had a burger which was also to her liking. We finished the meal with the flourless chocolate cake which was out of this world and we even came back two nights later just to get the cake again! Without a doubt one of the better dining options in ocean city with reasonable prices.

I’ve been vacationing in Ocean City my entire life, and since this place popped up on the boardwalk a few years ago, I’ve been waiting for a chance to try it.(Usually, I am too tempted by the now named Manco and Manco’s.) I went here with three friends on Memorial Day weekend. The seating outside is gorgeous. You get a great view of the boardwalk and the beach. Inside, it looks like NJ diner décor. Tile floor, formica tables, the works. They do have several TVs. When we were there, we asked them to put on the Phillies game and they couldn’t find it – I believe they have satellite TV and perhaps don’t get local sports broadcasts. The food menu was sandwich and pasta heavy – a weird combination, but plenty of filling food options. I got the turkey reuben, which came stuffed with turkey and a side of chips. The sauerkraut and dressing proportions were a little off, but everything tasted good. We also got a side of their version of crab fries. My recommendation: Don’t bother. My friends were all generally happy with their meals, one got the buffalo chicken wrap and another got a chicken pot pie(which was a huge portion). If it’s warm enough to sit outside, you are in the mood for a filling sandwich, and you want to people watch, grab a seat outside. Note: They only allow you to have one free refill on your soda, so pace yourself!

Meh indeed. Underwhelming to say the least. Clancy’s is on the boardwalk and offers an «ocean view» if you strain your neck to see past the swarm of people and the pillars adorning the entrance to the restaurant. At first glance I thought the menu was reasonably priced — take the burger for example. That is, until I realized fries don’t come with the burger — you order them separately and they’re $ 4. The burger was huge but so, so dry. The fries were nothing special. Ultimately there are better places in OCNJ where you can get a real ocean view and better food for a reasonable cost.
