we specifically went there for crab legs, our waitress didn’t tell us when we sat down that they were out of them, until we started ordering, if we woudl have known this we would have politely left, but we had already ordered drinks & my daughter was a bit embarrassed to leave, which has nothing to do with the restaurant, it was of course our choice to stay, I then realized all the other waitresses were telling people what they were out of when they sat down, OK so that was a bit of a let down, so we ordered regular crabs which were good, the sides were good, they kept filling our drinks & the waitress was very nice. and the place was clean, with a nice vibe. I got a double order of crab cakes to take home, so small for the price and the smallest piece of corn bread, not enough food for the average hungry person… and of course its always expensive, next time we are in OC, I will call ahead to make sure they have crab legs & if yes would probably go back !!!

After a day of traveling from Los Angeles to get here, it was worth the wait. The Crab Bag was fantastic. So tasty. Fresh simply delicious, even the coleslaw was excellent. I will be back. The staff was warm and made us feel welcome.

The crab here is really good, but a bit on the pricey side. I’m not sure if it was because we went when it was off season so the pricing changed, but we got 6 crabs for $ 30 something dollars. Other than that, the server was nice and the atmosphere was good.

Fattest Crabs in Ocean City. Great service, they don’t disappear when you need to reload. $ 1.50 Natty Bohs to wash down the Old Bay. HUGE menu if you don’t want crabs. Warning though, Get there early, or prepare to wait.

I came down to the OC Christmas weekend to celebrate my birthday. This place was refered to me by another restaurant waitress who didn’t have the selection of seafood I wanted. I told our wonderful waitress Brandi what I wanted how much I could and couldn’t eat and she gave an excellent recommendation. I had 5 large male crabs, corn fritters(the best btw w honey omg), hush puppies, and coleslaw w a strawberry daiquiri .It was amazing!!! The crabs were heavy and full of meat. Fried oysters were heavenly and the applesauce tasted homemade. The place was packed !! I would have liked to sit further inside were it was warmer but the food made up for it.** Pricey but you have to pay to play!!!

Good place to go to for crabs. Yummy seasoning on crabs and descent price point. Nice laid back atmosphere to sit outside and eat. You aren’t going to anything super fancy here just a better place than most to get crabs.

Crab Bag is a «has been» for quality seafood restaurants. This at one time was a better-than-good go-to for crabs, seafood platters, and other Maryland entrees. No more– my last(and probably final) time coming here was just short of major disappointment. We entered the establishment on a week night after the Labor Day holiday: the place was busy, as usual, and good seating was nowhere in sight; we ended up getting a cramped table in a corner upstairs, next to an irritating air vent. The waiter was unenthusiastic about helping us– he seemed impatient and restless when we asked several questions about the platters, soups, and drinks. We asked for more time, and he didn’t come back to our table until nearly 15 minutes later(I timed him). The wait for our food was arduous, over 25 minutes. It was obvious they were short-staffed. Once the food arrived, I noticed my vegetable was nearly cold– probably had been sitting around on some serve-shelf while they broiled the fish. Not good. The food quality was marginal: the crabs were dry and less-than-tasty, the broiled seafood platter was okay, but not as good as I once remembered, the baked beans were from a can and not as warm as they should have been. The soup was good, but if you mess up crab soup in Maryland, I think state law dictates you are to be tarred-and-feathered. Crab Bag has a lot of work to do in becoming a better-than-average seafood restaurant. It’s obvious something has changed– new management, maybe a new owner. Whatever it is, we walked out $ 90 poorer(two people, and this was without ordering drinks or dessert!) feeling cheated, especially knowing this place used to be a lot better. There are too many other quality crab/seafood restaurants in Ocean City to be dealing with amateur restaurateurs so I don’t think I’ll be coming back here in the future.

One of my favorite spots on Ocean City, Md. They are open all year round, have happy hour 7 days a week, and have all you can eat medium blue crabs. I prefer getting XL or jumbo by the dozen, then you only need to eat a few to get stuffed and you can enjoy the fried clams, steamed clams, spiced shrimp, onion rings, and oh, sweet potato fries! Yum! Always a long wait so just be warned that u won’t get a table right away on a Friday or Saturday night. However, they have 2 bars that you can sit at and enjoy drinks while u wait or dine at. Sometimes crowded as well but worth taking a shot. When u check for a table they will ask for your phone # and they will txt you when your table is ready.

I’ve been to Crab Bag once before a few years ago and had a great experience, so I decided to give it another try. They did not disappoint. My boyfriend and I both opted for the AYCE crabs at 44.99 a person. This comes with fries, coleslaw and corn on the cob. All of which you can get more of if you choose. The crabs were delicious and meaty. Not as hot as I would have preferred but still good. They also had a happy hour special 2.00 rail drinks and 2.00 bottled beers. Overall it was a great experience. I would give it 4 ½ stars if I could. I only wish the crabs were hotter and the prices weren’t quite as steep. Either way we will be coming back.

Without a doubt my favorite place that we ate in Ocean City. Laid back vibe and a good oyster platter! I LOVE char-grilled oysters. I went for those and ended up leaving with a new favorite in the crab stuffed oysters. The AYCE crab prices were pretty on point with the rest of the beach, but I’m not an old bay fan, so I stayed away. Try the oyster sampler– its sooooo good.

It’s my new goto place for steamed crabs! In addition to a great happy hour all day(except from 5PM-10PM), they offer XL and Jumbo size crabs, and cold inexpensive beers! What else can you ask for. Cold draft beers are $ 1.95 and $ 1.50 during happy hour. The XL crabs were great. I was starved when we got here and so full after eating 3XL crabs. If eating crabs skip the AYCE option and order 3XL crabs. You’ll be stuffed and your wallet will be less lighter. Happy hour food specials are great too. Ribs, spiced shrimp, and clams are good hits. Other specials include burgers and pulled pork sandwiches too. They have a separate take out area and service at take out is great. Friendly service(Steven I believe) at take out counter too. The wait can be long(one hour or so), so come during happy hour, or wait at the bar and have fun!

I would highly recommend, they are on the pricey side but the food was worth it to me. I had the all you can eat Crabs and boy did they keep coming, nice and hot. The kids menu was nice and inexpensive. The waitress was very nice, I would say the whole staff was. The only thing that was an issue with me was the seating, they sat us outside under this heated sauna. I would’ve probably preferred to sit inside because there was no getting away from the heat from above. All on all ot was a great experience and will definitely be back. Crabs and hush puppies are a must!!!

Recommendations for Crab in Ocean City was either Waterman’s or Crab Bag… I am so glad we chose Crab Bag because I really wanted a crab cake and my wife wanted crabs and I heard that the crab cakes at Crab Bag are really good! Well I was very pleased with the crab cakes and my wife loves the crabs while The kids feasted on grilled cheese, cheese burgers and 1 order of ribs. Everyone was very happy and now I have to carry one of the kids to the car since I think the«itis» has kicked in to hyper drive on him. The one and only reason I haven’t given a 5th Star was because of the cost, but apparently I have been out of touch with the cost of crabs and have been told that $ 119 for Jumbo dozen is a good price. Yeah right!!!

We love The Crab Bag. They were out of crabs today and it nearly broke my heart. We are here from michigan. Nothing we can do about that. One pound of steamed shrimp and a side of hush puppies did the job. Both were excellent. Our favorite in the nation.(Shrimp at kirbys is #1 because it comes with steamed onions). So sad to leave. See you this summer.
