For the cost of the buffet it was NOT worth it. It cost $ 35 per person. Now if we loved earring Alaskan crab legs it probably would have been worth it. I feasted on their shrimp and prime rib. The deserts were acceptable but not enough to clamor about. We would not return unless they had a special price.

Service was horrible, slow, everyone standing around. Crabs weren’t that bad. Not going back.

This buffet is good and it’s oceanfront so there is a great view but there are other buffets in Ocean City that I prefer. The crab soup was delicious, along with the mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese. The raw oysters were fresh and the crab legs were cooked right so they were easy to peel and had a great flavor. The French fries looked to be frozen, the potatoes were not cooked all the way through and the clam strips were room temperature at best. The desert selection was mostly cakes and a few flavors of ice cream. Like I said, it was good but I much prefer some of the other buffets in town.

Best seafood buffet with huge dessert selection but you won’t have room after all the crabs shrimp and amazing fried chicken.

Don’t bother! The food is absolutely awful, the waitstaff are rude, they don’t want you to be there, and the band is like a third grade Schoolof Rock. Save your money for a real bar!!!

The crab legs and dessert table were well worth the visit. The other buffet dishes(mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, veggies, etc.) were not super impressive but the crab legs were meaty and tender, not the skimpy snow crab ones you usually find at a buffet. The cakes were moist and delicious. Definitely worth a visit if you like crab legs and yummy cake.

This is my first time in ocean city md and this place was also my first meal. I dont know what to expect out here but i am from new york so i have high expectations. Honestly i did not see myself coming to eat at a hotel restaurant. My vision was to eat at local places that are plain seafood shacks but because this was the only place opened. I gotta say it was an overall good meal. The service was also attentive(not sure if it was because it wasnt busy) and the food came out with great timing. My son’s penne alfredo didn’t tast like alfredo sauce but the pasta was cooked al dente and it still tasted good. I had the crab legs which were fresh and it seemed to be more then a pound. My beau on the other hand got a filet mignon which was cooked perfectly. A little under seasoned but that’s okay because it was nothing a little salt couldn’t handed. I did not care of the lime meringue pie. Also the ceasar salad could have used more dressing. Other then that it was an overall good experience.

Oh how I love this place. We have only ever gone for the breakfast buffet, but I swear it is one of my favorite places in OC. The ambiance is INCREDIBLE. Sure, it is REALLY dated, but I swear you feel like you are in the 70’s at a disco night club on the beach. The giant windows with the view of the ocean are just amazing. The food is so so but the guys making the omelettes and waffles do a really good job. There is nice variety of food, including lots of fruit, oatmeal, cereals and muffins/pastries. Along with bacon, sausage, pancakes, different fruit toppings, chipped beef, sausage gravy and biscuits, bagels, lox. Again, not the best food in the world, but the place is great. We have always had really friendly wait staff too.

Ate breakfast here during bike week. Everything was hot and fresh and most importantly, delicious. Large selection and made to order foods. We will definitely eat here again.

If you are looking for sophistication or an intimate spot… remember this is a buffet! Alaskan crab legs and prime rib were excellent, the other food on the buffet was average to good. Not cheap, but if you are a big eater and don’t mind people constantly passing by you to get to the buffet, this is the place to go. Waiter was pleasant.

It was very nice. The service was prompt and the food was all very tastey. The reason for not giving 5 stars was because I was hoping for non breakfast cooked seafood or meat as well. We also were hoping for a choice of mini desserts, but we’d go again and it was fun to get a pic with the easter bunny.

Where do I begin? I’ll start with the food at the buffet. Cold and not very good. The ribs were cold and looked like they were out all day. The pasta station had one person cooking, with a line of about 20 people. How do you have one person doing that during Cheerleading Nationals week? The prime rib was fatty. The cooked ham had no flavor. All around, it was a terrible meal for $ 38 a person. I can’t forget the way the manager treated us. We had a group of about 75 people. We made a reservation in advance, but this peach who called himself a manager, called our person who made the reservation and cancelled it. So when we walked in, he refused to join a couple of tables so that we could sit together. When confronted about this, he became irate and belligerent. He screamed at the female coordinator of our group! When we finished dinner, all of the checks were screwed up. I even witnessed the waiter get into a fight with someone in my party, over the tip he was leaving him. I would never go back to this place again. It’s located inside the Clarion Hotel, which also proved to have abysmal accommodations and service. Our group has been coming here for 9 years, and we will NEVER come back! I will be contacting Clarion about this and many other issues that arose.

I tried Horizons based on reviews here. I and I have to say they were spot on. This is not a restaurant you stumble upon, very thankful for those who took time to review. I do enjoy buffets for the variety, but this is the best I have ever been to, and will difficult be back. We went on 2÷13÷16, when I saw the reservation recommendation I thought really, February at the beach, 20 degrees, not necessary. However, I did make the reservation, and I am glad I did. There was a line from the moment we walked in. The service was fast, friendly, and efficient. This is place has a combination of menu and buffet in the same room, and all received the same level of service. The fork tender prime rib was mouth watering, the pasta bar perfectly portioned, the desserts… full size portions, not the tiny bits at some other locations, and OMG delicious. And I am not a big dessert person. Take a chance and enjoy a top notch classy buffet.

Thanksgiving day reservation mishap was handled superbly by Rick, the manager. Our server, Anna, was professional and attentive. Like others, buffets are not my fav… but this one never disappoints. The carving station,(ham, turkey and roast beef) were expertly wielded by a single server.(Or shall I call him a «carve master?) Sides were overall good. However, not sure THREE types of stuffing were necessary. Plus the canned creamed corn was a pass. Eight different desserts plus a variety of petit fours capped off the meal. Even my 91 year old grandmother who normally had a delicate appetite, cleaned her plate. I’ve been dining here since the early 80s and they never fail to disappoint. Thank you, Horizons for a splendid holiday meal.

Absolutely loved this place! I’m not a huge fan of buffets(considering food quality is always below par) but I was taken by surprise at this place. The view overlooks the beautiful ocean and they have a smörgåsbord of food! There is prime rib to crab legs and from fresh salad bar to desserts. There is so much food that I took at least 5 different trips. Now, not ALL of it is amazing but I will say the majority I tried was delicious. It’s a more expensive buffet but that’s what you get if you want better quality. I got so much crab legs that I actually couldn’t even think about eating crabs again the rest of the trip. There are deals on certain days/times but I’m not 100% sure what it is. Check this place out, it’s good stuff!

It was between here and Bonfire and after going to Bonfire and looking at the food, this was a MUCH BETTEr choice. I came for all you can eat seafood and the crab legs were huge, fresh and sweet. The steamed shrimp had an amazing flavor, very fresh. They had oysters and clams in the half shell which looked great. I tried the pasta station which was awesome, prime rib which was tender but very very fatty, seafood Newburg yum! Mashed potatoes were almost addicting. Didn’t try the rest of the buffet bc I wasn’t paying $ 35 for chicken, ribs and corn but they looked great. The salad bar was really a huge let down with little actual garden salad options but crab soup made up for it. Desert station was small but hit the spot the same. The atmosphere is clean, bright and a beautiful ocean view really made for a nice setting. The patrons were an older crowd, dressed well and didn’t look like typical«buffet» people. Service was great and Nikolay was a smiling face I welcomed. We would definitely come back for those crab legs and shrimp. If you would rather have several great quality items in a nice sit down setting this is your place.

I know what to expect when it comes to seafood buffets, usually my expectations aren’t that high. All I want is plentiful amounts of crab legs. This place was beyond my expectations and I normally don’t think restaurants attached to hotels are that great. There was plentiful amounts of hot or cold crab legs, while I am partial to hot legs, the cold ones were surprisingly delicious. The great thing about the legs were that they were good sized legs and had great flavor. Each leg packed plenty of meat and tasted sweet and fresh. The other food was also very good ranging from prime rib, fried chicken, mash potatoes, to raw oysters. Overall probably one of the best seafood buffets I have been to and I was surprised to find it at the OC. The only downside is that you can expect to pay for it, at 37.95 per person, it can be a little steep.

This buffet is located inside a hotel. The atmosphere is a bit dated but I think that added to its charm. It felt like I was on the inside of a classy cruise ship. They had fresh soup, salad, cheeses, a pasta station with a variety of mix-ins(including shrimp and scallops), chilled and hot crab legs(the chilled ones were DELICIOUS), oysters, shrimp, hot foods(sweet potatoes, mac n cheese, fried chicken, ribs, mashed potatoes, fried clams, potato wedges, fish of the day, a carving station, lasagna, and I’m sure I’m missing a few). The desserts were pretty good. They had German Chocolate cake, Black Forest, cheesecake, mini cupcakes, lemon pie and mousse pie. The crab legs were worth the price alone. Juicy, thick and not too salty.

My friend and I were going to go to another buffet, but due to the popularity of this place on Unilocal,we decided to come here instead. And I’m glad that we did! Although the buffet is a little pricey, it’s worth it! It starts off with a soup of the day, followed by salad, some cold seafood options(crab legs, steamed shrimp, etc.) and various pasta salads. After that, there’s a pasta station where you can choose between several different pasta types and sauces and add in some extras such as shrimp and scallops. Then comes the hot bar — amazing! Sweet potatoes, ribs, catch of the day, Mac and cheese, lasagna… everything I tried was delicious. Finally there’s a carving station. I didn’t try it so I can’t comment, but I’m sure it’s good. The dessert table includes several cakes and small pastries. My only issue with this was that the cakes were a bit messy to cut. Overall, very nice experience. Would have loved to see a few more options for salad dressings, soups and a few more hot food options.

5 stars for the AYCE seafood dinner buffet. Their Ocean Club nightclub, which starts up after the dinner service is finished, FYI, is really geared towards the elderly crowd. Anyways, going back to the food, stick with their snow crab legs(offer both cold and hot; hot being the best), raw oysters, clams, chilled shrimp and their very tender and moist prime rib. Best seafood buffet in Ocean City! So good and tasty! If you are looking for seafood buffet, this is the place. Forget Phillips, Embers, Bonfire and check this place out. They have other foods like corn on the cob, fried clams, BBQ ribs, and others. Desserts were okay. Liked their ice cream station though. Who knew that the Clarion Resort(formerly Sheraton Fountainbleu) would have this setup and great oceanfront views too. Highly recommend this place in OC.
