Order steamed shrimp, wings, quesadilla, or a burger. The French Dip sandwich is good too. They have a huge menu and much of the other items just aren’t that good. Be warned… this place puts olives in everything. They actually have black olives cooked into the chili too. The Kirbys nachos… pub chips smothered in large amounts of cold onions, tomatoes, and jalapeños are disgusting. Avoid this item. This place is NOT child friendly. fyi. It’s a locals watering hole.

Great local pub! It’s hard to find much fresh made food in oc. The steamed shrimp is served hot right out of the steamer and covered in old bay just as they should be served. The steamed jumbo lump crab was some of the best crab meat I’ve ever had(raised in md). Kirby was walking around and bought us a round of shots. I’ll be back here time I come to oc.

The good: shrimp yummy but so spicy my lips hurt; generous sized garden salad; croutons were delicious which I know sounds weird. The waitress was not friendly but not mean but much nicer to guys. NOSIDES except their fries? No hush puppies or cole slaw or corn on the cob? You’re at the BEACH. And no thank you when I left! Meh.

What a great small dive type of a bar. The bartender we had on a Saturday night was quite friendly and poured some great drinks. Good prices too. You can order food until 1:30AM, which is a plus, considering Liquid Assets next door kitchen ends much earlier. Their cheese Kirby chips hits the spot after drinking. Will have to check out their old bay wings, steamed shrimp, and quesadilla next time I come back. It does get awfully crowded here as it’s a small place. I’ll be back here again!

Their website is crap and the links to their menu don’t work. For having such a great reputation, as an out of towner, this place wasn’t off to a great start.

I found this place on Unilocal and it certainly lived up to the hype. I walked in and asked the bartender what local brews they had on tap, she immediately poured three samples for me. the service was outstanding and the food was all top notch. my wife and I split 10 banging sauce wings(bbq/house hot sauce), and she ordered the chicken quesadilla and I had the fish sandwich. all of the food was amazing, you could taste the TLC in it all; the food is just done right. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be visiting again on any future trips to OC. well done kirby’s!

Went to Kirby’s Easter night with cousin and husband… Food was definitely a step up from regular pub fare… Hot bangin wings were great starters. Not over the top spicy, just right. cousin had crab sk

Kibry’s is always on my bar crawl list. Good dive bar with excellent food and cold drafts. The chicken wings are top three on my list in the region. Get the old goat wings, steam shrimp or crab dip. Staff is always friendly.

Pretty rude bartenders the night we went in. Food was just ok. This is a bar for Townies, and I think they want to keep it that way.

My first experience at Kirby’s was at 1:30am last weekend, a holiday weekend at the beach. We walked in after a few drinks and dancing at Dead Freddie’s looking for some good seafood. We were blown away at how good their steam shrimp was. They were large and the price was right too. We also ordered the crab dip which was definitely above average(but not the best I’ve ever had). The place was pretty crowded but the service was great. I will definitely be making Kirby’s an OCMD tradition.

The food doesn’t matter, but was over salted. I SAW An Employee come out of the bathroom and flushed the toilet and didn’t wash their hands. I was waiting at the door and saw this. She then went back into the kitchen. I wish I had seen this before I had eaten my dinner. Eew!

I have been going there for years. It’s a small bar/restaurant in the middle of a strip mall. But don’t let that fool you. This place has a neighborhood bar feel with good music and good food. While there is no bank of TVs like sports bars there always seems to be a TV in sight to catch a game. There is also a small amount of videogames in the rear that can keep kids and grownups occupied. Prices for drinks or food or reasonable for a resort town. It always surprises me that you usually can get a table on a summer weekend or it’s a reasonable wait. The house garlic chicken wings are about the best I’ve ever had. On Tuesdays they offered for a special price. Surprisingly good burger and other menu items. The only strange part is that they offer in-house fried chips but not french fries. If you’re at the bar service is great but if you are at one of the tables it can run hot and cold. While it’s a small place it’s always busy busy. This is a small local casual place and it never seems to disappoint.

Went here late night on a Tuesday. Was excited about the wings based on longtime reputation but was disappointed. As someone else described, this is a bar – a fairly tiny bar – that serves food. The kitchen stays open until 1:30 am every night so that’s a plus. The house wings – with a «ghost sauce» that mixes hot sauce with garlic smell amazing. But they didn’t taste as good as they smelled. The hot sauce was not flavorful, leaving the garlic to overwhelm. The proprietor could benefit from a visit to Kisling’s in Baltimore’s Canton neighborhood, where they know how to masterfully mix hot sauce with garlic. There also seemed to be a lot of regulars in this place, so the bartenders wasted their time chatting with these guests and left empty beer mugs sitting unattended.

Woohoo! As good as it gets! For a pub that all the locals appreciate. I believe Kirby’s to be the best kept secret in Ocean City. But I found it! Walk in and you are instantly treated like family. In fact, there was a mixture of regulars that included the old and the young. They offer an extensive and eclectic mix of the freshest offerings in this area. The shrimp and seafood is phenomenal. And although Old Bay wings were not listed on the menu, they made me some of the best I ever had. $ 8.25 for 10, and only $ 0.35 on Tuesdays! And it’s only $ 2 for 18 holes on the Golden Tee golf game! They also offer an array of everything else you would crave after a day at the beach, which is only a couple of blocks away.

Only rating on the bias of there Old bay wings. They are some of the best in town. They also won me over by having dogfish head on tap. We’ve been here a couple of times now. The service can be rough from time to time as they seem understaffed for the crowd.

Horrible service, didn’t leave a tip because our waitress never came back. Bartender chased us and said, «thanks for your business, but don’t come back.» «We don’t have to leave a tip for shitty service.» «Then you don’t have to be here.» Nuff said. Clearly, from years of frequenting this place and having a shore house down here, Kirby’s prides themselves on being a local’s hang out. However, clearly from years of frequenting this place, and having a shore house down here, their bread and butter is the groups of people wandering from the local hotels for their nightly specials. Sup if Kirby’s wants to run their business into the ground and pride themselves on serving the local summer workers free drinks, let their business dry up from their horrible service.

Kirby’s has to be one of my most favorite places in OC. I love the steamed shrimp and the seafood club is great too. Lot of fun with friends though very small. Bartenders are a lot of fun too. Lots of parking. Great place to check out.

Okay little place. Not much in the way of ambiance. It’s really more of a bar that serves food, and less of a restaurant. It’s also located in a no-descript little shopping plaza. But, we brought our kids and they were fine. Fried green beans were great. Even got the kids to eat them by telling them they were eating fried worms. Potato skins were yummy. Limited beer selection. Okay for a quick bite, bar snack, beer, or whatever.
