I know this place as Mack and Manco. Yes, the name has been modified. Maybe the owners are in jail for tax evasion with the long history of the boardwalk pizza being cash only. Maybe a single slice does cost too much. But I have been coming here since a kid, and I still think the crispy thin crust, the just-right sauce and cheese – served by handsome young men in the glorious fresh salt air of the Atlantic – with the charm and honky tonk of the Ocean City boardwalk – remains perfect. Had a slice at 11:15 am today. Perfect again. I recommend it for breakfast, lunch and evening snack!

Their pizza is very cheesy and so good. When your on the boardwalk you must stop by and get a slice or two! A little pricey for a slice of pizza but it’s really good.

I tried this place when I first visited Ocean City, NJ in 2008. I immediately ordered the chicken and green pepper topping pizza, to which the waitress replied that it was her personal favorite. I was quite pleased with the place that when I went back to OCNJ two more times that same year, I made sure that I ordered from them and no where else!

Ok pizza for all the hype. I can think of 5 better pizzas in my immediate area alone. It does have the romance of the boardwalk however the pie is average.

While Manco & Manco’s does have pretty good pizza, it is def overrated. Everyone raves about this place but there are many other places in OC with better, cheaper pizza. Not only are they very expensive but over the years their quality has seemed to go down… I think because they are trying to keep up with the crowds. I’ve gotten their pizza multiple times and been disappointed by slices that are just half a slice of dry crust, because the sauce and cheese just stop half way. Just seems rushed. If you are going to stop by definitely get a whole pie as its much better than when just getting a slice at the window.

During our stay in Ocean City, NJ, I really wanted to try Manco & Manco pizza as I’d heard many good things about it. We ordered a pepperoni pizza for delivery on a Saturday evening, and the delivery was accurate and fast. The pizza was mediocre. I’m not sure what all the hype is about Manco and Manco, but while the pizza was good, it’s nothing to rave about. There was nothing wrong with the pizza, it just didn’t live up to all the hype. Perhaps I need to try it again, but in the restaurant next time instead of delivery.

Talk about food stirring up memories! Every family summer trip to the boardwalk included a stop here for pizza. Very good pizza– best right out of the oven. The crust is not as crispy when boxed.

Two words for Manco and Manco– overpriced and overrated! Pizza sucks there and everyone loves it. You should just get crappy cheese and sauce and put it on a napkin that’s basically what it is when you get it. Randazzos pizza best on the island that I’ve had.

Excellent pizza! Definitely«best of the shore» worthy and conveniently located on the board walk

The heavy hitter, big kahuna, king of kings, Mack daddy(aha!) of OCNJ-nay-Shore Pizza. Everyone’s had it. Everyone knows what it tastes like. We’ll I’m here to remind you, while it may be good, it’s not the best at the shore, or even OCNJ. Prep’s is the best.

One of the best pizza places with others food and soft drinks. I have been going for many years. I will be returning soon. The staff is friendly, personable, and fast.

This was my first time«down the shore» and I was told I HADTO experience Manco & Manco Pizza. Being from California, east coasters already do pizza best but this pizza is unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. We got 2 large plain pies, served hot from the oven. The crust was thin but still doughy, just the way I like it. But what really sets this pizza apart from the rest is the sauce. When I folded my slice, the sauce and cheese oozed out for a delicious bite EVERYSINGLETIME. If you’re ever in Ocean City, I highly suggest checking this place out. I feel like I got the ultimate«shore experience» by eating at this local favorite!

I stopped by here with some pretty big expectations after looking over the reviews. It was only a short walk from where I was staying, which was also a plus. The corner boardwalk pizza shop was fairly busy(esp. for late Sept), but I was able to grab an empty seat at the counter. I kept it simple with two slices, one cheese and one pepperoni, with a soda. The gents behind the counter seemed to be a jovial bunch, having fun spinning dough and making pies as a rapid pace. Once my two huge slices arrived a short time later, I dove in, switching from one to the other. I don’t know if my expectations were too high or if the individual slices didn’t have the same oomph as a whole pie, but I wasn’t blown away. They were both good, but not as great as I had hoped. Yeah, it’s «boardwalk pizza» but when the cost exceeds the taste, it’s middle-of-the-road to me. Oh, and it’s cash only too, so keep your plastic in your wallet.

Greeted by everyone as soon as we walked in the door. It was crowded. Server came right over and took our order. He was super friendly. Ordered a large plain pie. It came out fast. Cooked to perfection. Crust — perfect. Sauce– perfect. Cheese– perfect. Happy happy customers.

Manco and Manco(apparently no more Mack involved there) is just as delicious as ever. I forgot how crisp and light the crust was, how the sauce had the subtle taste of sweetness and how gooey the cheese was. I ordered one, left to go grab ice cream but decided a slice of Manco pizza is also dessert! I made my 2nd visit within an hour and was so happy to get my last fix before the end of Summer. Even by going after Labor Day on a rainy day the business was booming. Tables were filled in but less lines and less of a wait. While the other two Mancos on the boardwalk are closed or have off season hours, this is the location that stays open to devotees, tourists and general pizza lovers. It’s hands down my favorite traditional cheese pizza slice in Jersey.

I’m definitely down for a boardwalk slice. No surprise there– I can always go for some pizza and the salt air makes a girl feel snacky, don’t ya know. Still, upon first look I wouldn’t have expected to be such a Manco fan. Based on the looks of the pies beneath the glass, upon my first visit, I felt a little skeptical. The crust might seem a little pale, and the less than enticing rubber-hose-from-a-vat sauce delivery system left swirls on the pizzas that did not appear to be near enough of the red stuff. Deceiving! Totally deceiving. I quite like some Manco and Manco. Oh yeah. I return. The slices, served hot from the oven, have been consistently thin-crusted and crispy and that sauce to cheese ratio: juicy, ooozy deliciousness. All I require is a shake of hot pepper flakes and a sprinklin’ o’ garlic powder. There I be, happily chomping away on my tasty, folded slice, perched inside Manco’s on a green vinyl counter stool, safe from those boldly swooping seagulls outside on the boards. Those bastids. Eat inside. Those birds have designs. So, good slices here– that’s what I’m sayin! Whenever we’re down in Ocean City it’s difficult for me to pass em by. Multiple locations all along the boardwalk make skipping a slice triply tricky. By which i mean, by, «feelin snacky,» there’s potential for beginning, middle, and end of the boardwalk slices during a seaside stay. By which I mean that totally happened today.

Sometimes you want dinner and a show. At Manco & Manco you can get the show for free. Just sit at the counter and watch a few Italian guys throw the dough and ham it up for the kids. Your wife will probably like it too, mine did :-/We returned to Manco & Manco a few times over the course of the week. It was convenient, entertaining, and actually pretty delicious. Is the pizza a little overpriced? Sure, but look where you are, take a few bites of pizza, and try to frown about it. It’s almost impossible. The red sauce is excellent(I spent the last few years suffering through enough too-sweet sauce that I almost gave the stuff up) even though it comes out of a hose in the kitchen. Which kind of made me like it more, because that’s ingenious. The white pizza is very good too. The crust is the perfect thickness– thin but not floppy. But I’m partial to the classics and I like the plain cheese slice and a birch beer. And hey, if the wife gets a little thrill concocting a Moonstruck fantasy about it, I’m ok with letting her enjoy that.

My mother, sister and I came here to eat dinner while we had our girls beach day yesterday. It is a family tradition and we have always enjoyed it. However, I do have some complaints. For starters, you would think for as busy as they are, they would have more than one restroom. My sister and I waited approx. 10 – 15 minutes to use the restroom. Also, the pizza was only average. There was not enough sauce or cheese. I will be coming again though, solely for the fact that it’s a tradition to come here and that the experience wasn’t all that bad. The pizza was still okay and the service was fast.

Ordered the Plain Pizza and added Pepperoni and Sausage along with 2 individual slices of cheese. The Plain Pizza was HUGE! While the individual slices were on the small side. The service was horrible! We ordered a second slice of cheese and had to ask 3 times while the slices where just sitting on the boardwalk side. Tip — order a whole pizza and not by the slice. The by the slice pizza is very small . Pizza is good but the service needs a little help with getting food out

There are so many pizza shops on the boardwalk. So finding the right one Can get tricky. But Mack & manco is by far the top spot for pizza. $ 2.50 for a slice is average, good size slice and by far the best sauce and cheese you can have on a slice, I wish I Knew the secret to the ingredients. Just add a little salt to the top and be on your way to enjoying. When I get hear I get a slice arriving and leaving. Hopefully everyone esle can enjoy as much as I did. And cash only.
