Lucky Dragon Restaurant

This is hands down the best Chinese food I’ve had in a very long time. We had the potstickers, BBQ pork, chow mein, pork fried rice, almond fried chicken, egg foo young and sweet and sour chicken. Everything was delicious, especially the potstickers and BBQ pork which was really fresh. The owner is so sweet, he chatted with us after our meal about good Chinese restaurants where we live. Good prices, good food and very nice people.

So disappointed. Not only did my food absolutely SUCK, floaties in my water, table dirty and no welcome… when the waiter wasn’t avoiding eye contact with me he looked at as if I was stupid. I’ve never had a bad experience and whenever I come to town this is my first stop! Not anymore. I’m so disappointed. I still paid for my meal, of course, but there was no sorry or we will remake it. Hopefully for everyone else that comes in here with have. Great experience because this is just ridiculous.

Everything is greasy. Came here with a party of 6. Everyone got something different from the lunch menu and everything was greasy greasy greasy. I ordered the crab ragoon things. There was no crab. Just fried dough and cream cheese… For $ 6. Will not return. I don’t have high expectations for Chinese restaurants in the first place, but the rude waiter and gross food set a new low. Wish I could give 0 stars

Very friendly staff. Food is fresh and delicious. My favorite is the kung pao family. Full of tasty vegetables, chicken, beef and shrimp!

We ate here on our last visit to OS, and it was very tasty. This trip; not impressed at all. I called in before 5pm, and phone was answered by someone I could barely understand. He hung up on me before I could complete my order so I had to call a 2^nd time. Order was a dinner combo (C, Mandarin dinner) for two, plus an order of chicken chow mein. They don’t give soup for a take-​out order, yet we got charged for it :-(Had to ask for napkins, forks, etc, and I should have made sure everything was in the bags. They were gracious to carry it to the car for me. Got back to our room and bags were missing condiments. Kung Pao chicken & chow mein was okay; everything else was sub-​par :-(Shrimp was way over cooked, BBQ pork was very dried out, eggroll was overdone. Very disappointing for $ 44 worth off food + tip. We called them and expressed our disappointment and they acted surprised at our feedback. Hopefully they will be better next trip.

We had tried this place a few months ago. We had ordered beef and broccoli and General tso’s chicken. The beef and broccoli was good, and the General tso was flavorful, but the strangest thing happened… As soon as the chicken cooled down, the sauce hardened like candy! Meaning it had too much sugar, and all the chicken was literally stuck in one sugar brick. So that was weird. And they gave us one tiny box of rice for 2 entrees. Definitely not enough.
So although we had that experience in the past, we thought we’d try it again, but this time we just ordered 2 orders of beef and broccoli and asked for more rice. As soon as we got home to eat, we found that was barely any beef and at least ¾ of the entrees were broccoli and veggies. Where’s the beef?! I feel jipped! Ugh. Not to mention they don’t even have a website or a menu for us to look at online. Who doesn’t have a website in this era? Probably not trying this place again.

Many years ago we had a less than good experience at the Lucky Dragon but decided to give it another try. Big mistake!
Having to ask for the sticky table to be cleaned and seeing on the table empty salt and pepper shakers that were in desperate need of cleaning were a clear red flag. But we were feeling brave and ordered ignoring our basic instinct to flee. The barbecued pork was delivered with the server informing us they were out of sesame seeds. Have you ever been to Chinese restaurant that is out of sesame seeds??? It was a first for me! The barbecued pork (minus sesame seeds) was tender and tasty and gave me hope that this dining experience would exceed expectations. Live and learn. The egg flower soup was bland, unremarkable and did not taste fresh. The fried shrimp and sweet and sour pork was encrusted in a batter shell that invited the use of a chain saw. With overall service that was basic at best and an environment that left much to be desired, the Lucky Dragon is an experience we will never repeat.

I truly think this is the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. Soup was flavorless. Had the #4 combo, shrimp were all thick tempura batter and the almond chow mein was tasteless. Waitress hacked and coughed as our waters were brought over, and retreated for smoke breaks, pretty sure with no handwashing happening. Skip this place, go to Viet Hoa.

Wonderful friendly staff and they actually care if you are enjoying your food. The portions are plentiful and the food tastes fresh and delicious! We ordered combos and last week we ordered ala carte. I can tell you that the ala carte is so much food you have to take it home! My son and I shared 2 dishes and had to take both home. The chow mien is great and my son loved the Generals chicken! In the combo the bbq pork was a little dry but that was the worst of it! The rice is wonderful and so was the shrimp that accompanied my chow mein! Great place to revisit!

Ate here with my family during our last trip to Ocean Shores.
Pro: The food was pretty decent (had the sizzling platter) minus the egg flower soup. The tea was good too and the staff was friendly.
Con: The egg flower soup was awful– very bland without any true flavor. The staff, while friendly, was a bit on the slow side. On a frustrating note, our party came in before a large party but was then waited on after the large group. The resturant could use a good cleaning– it feels like it’s starting to head downhill. Finally, the men’s restroom was in horrible shape. It smelled worse than some rest station bathrooms.
Overall: While the food was decent, I would be very hesitant to try the Lucky Dragon again. Hopefully the staff will see this and give the place a deep clean and work on the soup.

My boyfriend and I eat there at least twice a mth and the last two times we ate there we commented that the table was sticky and asked to have it wiped down again and it was still sticky. Last night we ate there again and again the table was sticky, floors were filthy, walls dirty in a word. GROSS! Not sure how they pass inspection. Last night when our food came it was cold and greasy. We like Ben and waitresses but we had Bens brother last night and in the past and have commented on how rude he is. This place is going down hill fast. We will be looking for a new restaurant until they close and do a DEEP CLEANING!

Often I do not heed signals or the sign post up ahead but when I walked in, my first clue should have been the exclusively Gweilo staff.

Way way better than Viet Hoa Restaurant. I love how diversity of staffs here, and they hired an awesome senior works here as server. She’s the best grandma ever. The food are delicious and they give you a very good size portions. As an Elite Member, rarely, I give out a 5 Stars. The owner’s stop by and made sure my water is always full and asked how does my food taste. His frequent visit and friendly personality definitely made a huge different. Seeing the friendly server, I missed my late grandmother. She even asked us about where we are from.

Ben, Wei and Li were very friendly and provided a wonderful meal. Portions were generous and full of flavor.
We will definitely be back next time we are in town

The service was great… The food was barely edible. I would recommend staying away. Worst meal in a long time.

Ok we had lunch here and when we walked in the christmas tree was still up it was January 20^th !? That should have been my first clue … The waitress was nice we picked from the dishes offered for lunch. I had sweet sour chicken, fried rice and almond fried chow mien. My wife had sesame chicken, fried rice and an egg roll .
All very bland the fried rice tasted like steamed rice and frozen vegetables. The sweet and sour chicken was not fresh and cooked dry, the chow mein noodles were stale !. My wife’s egg roll was huge and filled with a mess of cabbage and .we’ll im not sure what else. I tasted my wife’s chicken and I swear it was moldy and to top it all off they servings were huge ! they must have a TON of waste ! we were sitting in the back half of the restaurant and when the kitchen door swung open I got a peek at the walls and they were running with filth and grease !! I would NOT return… ever.

If I could give it a half of a star, I would! Greasy cheap food. The «Crab Balls» (aka crab Rangoon’s) had no crab, just cream cheese. The Mongolian beef was grey and basically soup. Almond fried chicken was also a strange color with no flavor. The almonds were good. The Egg Rolls were so greasy when you bit into it grease would run down your hand. The sweet and sour pork was chewy and the breading was falling off. The sweet and sour prawns and white rice were not to bad. The décor of this place could also use some help.

Awesome waiter awesome food thanks for a great experience!!! We had plenty of leftovers the waiter was very fast with everything he did.
