Was a 5 star bit last time I went in my rubin had half the meat for the same over priced sandwich. Maybe a fluke but it felt like a fuck you from the port hole.

A large group of us came here on New Years day for a late breakfast. It was a little busy since, people were just crawling out of bed from the prior nights festivities. We were not greeted, and were left to push tables together on our own to accommodate our party. No one came to our table, and finally we had to go up to the bartender and ask for menus, etc. Finally after about 20-minutes we were given menus and about 15-minutes after that, our orders were taken. All of our drink orders were taken by the bar tender after we walked up to the bar — it was obvious she was focused on the ‘regulars’ that were sitting up at the actual bar… not to mention, she and the owner and the cook were the only three working on a place now filling up quickly. It was also pretty apparent that no one in that place knows how to multi-task, or do things in order. People that showed up 15-minutes after we ordered got their food before us! Finally after nearly TWO hours(we were committed to breakfast and it was the only place in town still serving) — we got our food. Most of it was hot, the hashbrowns were not. It was all pretty good, though — but, maybe that’s just because we were so hungry we were about to chew our own arms off. All-in-all, this was our second experience of under-staffed restaurants in Ocean Shores for the New Years Eve/Day weekend. It’s a holiday weekend people!!! Staff up, keep your patrons happy — and, if it’s not busy, send your staff home. It’s not rocket science! We wont be back.

Came for Seahawks game day. This bar filled up very fast but there were a couple of long tables that accommodated some mixed groups. Took about 1hr for my eggs benedict and the eggs were undercooked so I didn’t eat it :($ 10. They also had tacos, pancakes, etc. I am not judging them too severly for this as it was game day and I saw only one waitress. The bloody mary was delicious! The bar was a classic dive but it felt really dark on the inside.

I have been going to the Port Hole for years and my last visit Tuesday December 29th2015 was like a completely different place. New menu with higher prices. Understaffed terribly. Bartender /Waitress has no clue what multi-tasking is, and had no passion for being there. Cook, and I am saying that very generously had the same philosophy of one order at a time. It took just under an hour to get two BLT’s. Cold under toasted bread, cold bacon, one terrible tomato, and limp lettuce. What a suck-fest! New fries straight out of a Sisco bag, under fried at that. The absentee owner should care less about adding to his retirement funds and give a little more care to the state of the restaurant. I know Ocean Shores has little competition but give a sh#t.

the service was friendly and the restaurant felt cozy. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is they didn’t have what I wanted on their menu. But the mushroom burger was very yummy.

Outstanding, doesn’t look like much from the outside but go in and eat a well prepared breakfast with excellent staff. They bend over backwards to take care of you. They will substitute and make a great vegetarian egg Benedict. These has turned into our favorite place for breakfast. The cook is really a chef. Start with breakfast and stay for drinks and he game on tv. Play pool or just enjoy the friendly ambiance.

We were here for brealfast today and my only regret is we didnt find this place sooner, The service was prompt and friendly and the food was tasty and hot. My wife had an an omelette and i had pancakes-both very tasty. Coffee was average but refills were offered without asking. Prices were very reasonable consisering the large portions and tasty food. It was particularly satisfying since we had such a poor breakfast at anothelocal place the day before.(Our Place) Will certainly return here when back in Ocean Shores.

I’m SO glad we believed the reviews for this place. It’s defiantly a tavern but it is clean, fun and they go out of their way to make visitors feel welcome. They serve AMAZING food and tasty local microbrews. My husband and I shared the seafood fettucini and bacon wrapped scallops. They were as delicious and flavorful as any of the best dishes we’ve had at fancier restaurants. We sat at the bar and were entertained by our wonderful server, Misty, and the other customers sitting around us. We HIGHLY recommend this place.

Best biscuits n’ gravy in town! We go almost every weekend to grab lunch. Biscuits n’ Gravy & the Seafood Fettuccini. LOVE! Occasionally their wait staff is busy tending bar.(It is a «Pub», after all). But the wait is worth the savory plates we quickly gobble down. So glad we discovered this spot! We always leave fat n’ happy! :D

THREESTRIKES — YEROUT! My husband and I have been to the Porthole on 3 different occasions and all three were bad experiences. We own a home in Ocean Shores so are in town quite often. We finally decided a few months ago after hearing some negative things from the locals, that we would try it anyway. Went in the afternoon and service was terrible. We were ignored for over twenty minutes and when I finally called out for attention, the bartender gave me a snotty look and we waited longer for her to finish her conversation with a patron. It clearly showed on her face that she didn’t want to help us so we drank our drinks and left vowing not to go back. Second time our niece came to town to visit and wanted to go there. Again, we were ignored at the table while the bar patrons were taken care of promptly. Waited an hour for Nachos and Fish & Chips that were not worth the wait. When I mentioned the wait instead of apologizing the waitress made one excuse after another. We left disgusted with the whole place. What happened to Customer Service? What happened to training your staff on how to take care of a guest? These people couldn’t be more rude. Our last encounter was this weekend. We went in and ordered drinks and dinner. Once the drinks came I guess they felt they were done with us. Over an hour waiting and no one ever came back to our table. Not when our drink glasses sat there dry for over 30 minutes, not to let us know our dinners would be coming soon, nothing. Finally, after 90 minutes I went to the bar and told the gal we were leaving. She looked surprised, really? I told her we had been ignored for 90 minutes, she said«well, your dinners are coming up now». I told her I didn’t care, I was leaving. She tried to give an excuse that she and the cook had just come on duty which was a lie. She did just come on duty but the cook had been there all along because we could see him cooking. Everyone who ordered at the bar were served but I guess because we sat at a table we were again, ignored. I am asking everyone to avoid Porthole Pub. Until they learn the basics of restaurant etiquette & hire people with basic customer service skills, I see no reason to spend my hard earned money there. There is too much competition in the area to waste my time. Thank you for reading this long rant and please IGNORE the Porthole Pub on your way into beautiful Ocean Shores.

Best breakfast in town as long as you don’t need to feed the kiddos. Fast, friendly service. Food is always consistent with crunchy hash browns and fluffy eggs. Jade, Misty, and Katie will take care of you.

So after visiting the Quinalt casino, not wanting to eat at the casino since we weren’t staying there, we decided let’s give them a shot(because they are open late) when my husband and I first walked in we thought«oh no it’s a local bar and we stand out like a sore thumb» but boy we were wrong… We were greeted by the super friendly bar tender and a couple of older gentlemen that were more than willing to share what was fun to do in the town.(we were in town to take a friend to court so it was a Wednesday) we played pool, played music, had some drinks, ordered the cheese sticks, which are to die for… not your traditional cheese stick but you have to try them, I ordered the monte cristo sandwich which was good but it wasn’t battered but still delicious … Then my husband ordered the chicken fried steak which we took back to the room and ate cold and it was still good! This place is a must try !!

Fun place to go in Ocean Shores. Drinks are good, service is always consistent. The scallop pasta dinner is ridiculous. Burgers are good. Breakfast is great! Drip coffee is fresh. And always filled when running low. There is karaōke on weekend nights. Open late. Not super fancy but a great spot in Ocean Shores.

Service sold it for this little dive. Small beer selection, but a few local microbrews. Great clam chowder and an unpretentious burger that was just right.

Great service, yummy food, stiff drinks… What else could a girl ask for? Oh yeah, karaōke? Check!!! This is also one of the only, if not the only(not including the casino), that’s open until 2 am every night! Love this place.

Had a lot of fun here after the last clam dig. They made the best Rueben Sandwich I’ve had in a long time. They have a pretty funny commercial out now.

Definitely one of the best restaurants in Ocean Shores. Sure, it’s bar/diner type food, but what they have is excellent, whether you come for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a bite to eat late at night. Port Hole Pub’s prices are also reasonable, which is highly unusual for a tourist trap beach town like Ocean Shores. Recommendations? It’s all good, at least from what I’ve seen and tasted and my family frequents this place when they’re in town. The one and only down: the biscuits aren’t very good, but you drown them in good sausage gravy and it doesn’t really matter.
