Beach Burger

the staff was the best! We ordered fish and chips chicken and chips and shrimp and chips!
But we’re disappointed as they all were way too oily! Fish didn’t have much flavor also.
Nice clean location! If we go back we will try the burgers! I guess we should have did that in the first place since that’s there name! Do they deserve another try.

This is my second time trying Beach Burger and I have to say I been disappointed both times. Pastrami burger was oily and bland. Fish and chips were soggy and no flavor at all. How can you go wrong with French fries? I don’t know but wasn’t good either. I guess LA spoiled me.

I think I’m being too nice about the 2 stars but I am taking into consideration that the fish and chips I ordered were good. To shorten the experience, they only had 3 people working on Valentine’s Day. 2 in the kitchen and a girl taking orders and delivering them. Considering this is a burger place my fish and chips tasted pretty fresh. I had to take my fries back real quick cause I wanted them garlic style and they didn’t make it like that. My bfs red and blue burger lacked taste and it was undercooked. The meat was not as juicy as I’ve tasted before. My boyfriend thought the same. A little bit of salt and pepper would have lighten up that meat wonderfully. I’m not gonna go into how unsanitary the bathrooms were and how there was no trash can around because then I’d have to give it a one star. This is a cool place if you order to go.

Great burgers and fish and chips! This is a great place to go if you want something quick for a cheap price. I’ve never left this place still feeling hungry, their portions are large.

Best burger joint on the Central coast! Great fast food done right. Attention to quality meat, fish and buns. Seriously, most places fail on delivering good bread. These guys got it right.

I just ate here with a friend. We split the cheese/​avocado/​mushroom hamburger… very yummy and juicy and then shared an order of the jalepeno poppers. The pepper itself is uncooked and stuffed with mozzarella cheese and dipped in a wonderful crispy batter. They are spicy hot, even though most of the seeds are out of the pepper. It was yummy, efficient, friendly and quaint. I will be back.

I love the jalapeño burger so much and the garlic fries are to die for I love this place it’s awesome and the cashier has always been nice and has a good sence of humor.

Well I was on the road with my girlfriend and we had a lot of kids with us while we’re traveling not hours I might add. And we happen to go through Oceano and we saw beach burger and beach burger I guess has been an icon there for a long time. And they make some of the best food you can get in the area. I loved the onion rings we ordered so much stuff because there’s so many kids. So we had onion rings season steak fries, beer battered fries, seasoned curly fries. The kids ordered a bacon cheeseburger but we ordered the red and blue cheese burger mushroom avocado cheeseburger and the street dog which is a hot dog that has toppings that I can’t even tell you how good that was. Absolutely wonderful time. I guess the Police family run the young man that was running the place that day was very hospitable show this to a table we got a beautiful table on the corner outside in late December. And it was beautiful I had to take my jacket off we were warm sitting outside. The location is lovely because it sits at one of the entrances to Pismo Beach the drive on beach one of the three left in the United States. We had an incredible time and the food was really really good.

After seeing all the wonderful photos people took of the food here, I thought I’d give it a try.
I phoned in an order for take away at 3pm, and it was ready at 3:12.
I waited on hold for about 15min then got disconnected and I called right back. I was greeted with an apology and an explanation for the hang up. I explained, that it was the reason why I was phoning in my order, reviews being what they were.
I ordered a chili/​cheese burger with a medium beer battered fries.
With no drink is was $ 13.23 after tax and $ 17.23 after gratuity.
The burger was good. The crinkle bun and and chili really help this burger raise just above average. The beer battered fries were delicious and the last few bits in the bag tasted like fish.
The staff was friendly and asked so many questions, I got tired of saying no. They seem really bent on making sure your totally satisfied with the order. I just wanted out after trying to convince the young man I had everything I needed. I felt like I was being treated like royalty. The way they act, it’s like they serve in fear of loosing their head if somethings not right.
Well I say, let him keep his head for another day! He did well enough. Give them try, and then let us know what you think, keep the head?

Heard this place was famous for their jalapeño poppers so we came here for lunch after ATV.
There’s one one chef and 2 other employees holding down the fort. Although they were trying their best, it just wasn’t good enough. We waited a grueling 45 minutes before they took our order and there were only 3 people in front of us. When it was finally my turn to order, I was informed that they ran out of jalapeño poppers… Great… Just. Great. (–_​_​_​_​_​-​)
We made do with curly fries, and mozzarella cheese sticks. The fries were okay, but the mozzarella cheese sticks are a must try. I can’t speak for the burgers since I didn’t try any myself, but my friends all agreed they were delicious.
TIP: don’t drink their water. It tastes like sand. Not sure if their tank got polluted somehow. Just don’t do it. Bring your own water bottle or just get soda (I know it’s a bad alternative, but do you really want the taste of sand in your mouth?)

To be honest here, the burgers did not meet my expectations as everyone raved about. I ordered the bacon burger with avocado and my sis got the pastrami burger. We also shared the jalapeño poppers and steak fries.
To start off with, the jalapeño poppers with poppin’! And if I were to come back, they’d be the one thing I’d order again.
The fries were lousy and can be compared to Denny’s. The burger looked beautiful but looks can be deceiving! My bacon wasn’t even crispy. The burger and bun weren’t really flavorful at all. And the rest is history.
The customer service was good but today was such a busy hectic day for the establishment that I just wanted to get out!!! Especially due to the crowd of what I think were cal poly students who were really inconsiderate about my baby in her stroller.
Altogether, the experience just wasn’t as great as I would’ve imagined.

Three if us ordered burgers… makes sense, it’s a burger place!!! So-so…everyone’s Dutch crunch roll was not so swell… dry n’ tasteless…& burgers as well really had no flavor ~even though they had nice ingredients!
Surprised at the high ratings… rather bland, BUT the burgers are quite photogenic!

Small little hole in the wall out of the way burger shop. No air conditioning. Sand on the tables because they’re so close to the beach.
The food is better than good. I had the classic burger and a small curly fries. Beware, the small portion of curly fries is a basket load. About the curly fries, not a lot of curlys, but a lot of pieces and bits, kind of like a haystack. The burger on the other hand was very juicy, and I like catsup on mine.
It could have been 5 stars if the facility was a little more comfortable, but without air conditioning and having to keep the doors closed because of the blowing sand they lose the star.
My recommendation is … call in your order and pick it up to go. Then go to the park, or if it’s too windy or take it back home and enjoy it in a more comfortable location.

Burgers look amazing but tasteless otherwise. Not worth it. Poppers were good and spicy at least.

Lettuce wrapped burgers?! Yes, thank u! Since I can’t eat the buns I was happy to see that they can lettuce wrap my burger for me. All the burgers, fries, hot dogs, etc. are all reasonable priced! The burger I got was the bacon cheeseburger and it was delicious! The patty tasted meaty & flavorful and the pickled red onions added a nice crunch & flavor for the burger. I also got a small order of the chili cheese steak fries which was good too. MMM burgers by the beach, oh yes!

Great burgers and jalapeño poppers. Decent chicken strips and fries. Very reasonable prices and friendly staff.
If only they had better parking and more outdoor seating.

Beach Burger may look like your run of the mill burger joint but looks are deceiving because it is anything but. Their classic cheeseburger was amazing, their seasoned steak fries are my new favorite fries, and the gal behind the counter was very friendly but the reason this establishment isn’t a 5 star is because the parking here is terrible. There are only 3 parking spots behind the building and if there is a line of cars getting into the Dunes you’ll be stuck trying to get out so you might wanna park elsewhere and just walk over but don’t skip out on trying this place.

This place is AWESOME!
We came here after a long day of ATVing. This place is exactly what we were looking for. Hearty burgers, delicious beer battered fries and jalapeño «popper» pieces. The prices are beyond reasonable and the staff was super friendly.
If you’re in the area, this should be your go-​to lunch spot.

Decent find on here. I was craving a burger and looking for close and open place.
The location is close to the second gate at Oceano. It’s small with only 6 tables. It’s in the old mama meatball. You give your order and they bring it out to you.
The burger:
I had the blu and red burger. (The blu) They put blue cheese inside the patty and (the red) is a onion relish. I added bacon for a buck fifty. The meat is cooked a little too much. I prefer it medium. the meat was still juicy but I think it was from the cheese melting inside. It had good flavor but I really could not taste the blu cheese. The relish did not add much to the burger. The bacon was great nice and crispy. But the star of the show was the Dutch crunch bread the bun was made from.
Fry’s:
I was happy they had options of frys. Sweet potato, beer batter, curly, and steak. And each has the option to make them garlic.
So I got the steak ones with garlic. The frys were good. I did like they were not heavy on the garlic like some places do. Where you eat raw garlic.
They have some things they need to work on. But it was tasty and hit the spot. I would recommend it.

Dont let the outside fool ya! The burgers here are legit!
Food:
Pastrami Burger ($ 7) — Pastrami was juicy and delicious. The bun was mustard grilled. It definitely hit the spot.
Jalapeño Poppers ($ 4) — You get bout 4 of these. Theyre pretty damn big. Only complaint is that the cheese is very liquidy inside. I took a bite into one and cheese was gushing out everywhere. I guess u can wait till it cools down and the cheese starts to solidify a lil bit.
They also have a decent selection o craft brew available. I got one for $ 3.75, which really isnt bad at all.
Overall, Id def come here again if im in the area. Its also the perfect lunch/​dinner after uve been out there atving.
