Do not waste your time… very stuffy and rude, overated and way overpriced! The owner Brad had the nerve to insult my mother… she is on oxygen and doenst have too much longer to live. Without going into details I just would look elsewhere as I am shocked at how rude Brad was… DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I had an appointment on the 10^th of May to have my hair bayalage. I told the woman my hair is very warm and pulls red and brassy colors which I hate. I wanted no red or orange or brass. She did my hair and washed and dried it. I was there from 345 to 6pm getting my hair done. The girl did NOT tone my hair. It looked ok in the salon light but def was not bayalage it was more ombré then anything. Ok fine. I went home and kept looking at it and decided to call back to see if I could come back in the next day. Thinking they’d fix it free of charge being I was in the day before and I’m not happy and didn’t have a toner put on it. I was told they can’t just do a tone it has to be cooked with another service so it would be 35 $ to tone plus a wash and dry. I then explained that I was just there the day before and the woman on the line said that she guesses they could just tone it but it would be 35 $ and I’d leave with a wet head!!! Seriously? Who dose that. This place doesn’t know any customer service let alone try to right a wrong. I spent 130 $ for my hair tipped the girl 30 $ and this is what I get? Orange ass hair and lines in it. Bc she didn’t highlight it well. I have friggin stripes. I turned around and decided not to book an appt for the tone bc if I’m having to pay for a mistake the stylist did I’m better off going some place else and giving another person my business. DO NOT GO HERE. I’m surprised that they wouldn’t offer to fix it it only being a day after free of charge? I’ve never heard of that. Usually any nice salon would fix it free of charge it only being a day after the hair being done. If you want service like this just be cheap and go to borics or super cuts !

I have been going to this salon since they have opened a few years ago. Unilocal has the incorrect address. It is 4111 Oceanside Blvd.
I have always been happy with my cut and service. Place is clean and prices are decent. The only real issue I had had was that they have alot of turn over so you can never get the same stylist.
So her is the reason I am now leaving them a 2. I took a day off from work during the week to make appts. I made my apt at Adora online a few days prior, They confirmed. I show for my hair cut and give my name. Women ask for my last name. I think oh no. Then she says you do not have an appt with us. I tell her yes I do, I made 1 online and you confirmed via email. At this point I felt like I was lying and this was a bother to her. She stears at the computer clickin away. She then says oh I now see it. You did make an appointment. DUH! So she goes on. well no one put it in the scheduling syatem. Ok.
The stylist is just starting a hair color process. Sorry but why is this my fault? She goes over and wispers something to him, comes back and says well if you would like to wait it will be about 45 min or so. Really? I do not have the time to wait and be rushed in between a hair color. She did apoligize and say I could come back. I felt like she really didn’t give a rats ass if I came back or not. Apology was the what ever attitude. So no hair cut for me. The kicker is that I keep getting emails:
We noticed you recently missed your appointment with us. We know your busy! OMG that is why I planned ahead and made the appointment. A little slap in my face hun!
At least she could of been more sensitive to my time. Maybe said she noticed that I was a regular …
Lost my business and got a 2 on Unilocal.A least now I feel a little better.

I was on the fence with switching to another stylist (current one handled color great, but not reliable). Since I was long over due for cut, I thought I’d try out Adora because of rating and competitive pricing. Fingers crossed I’d have a male stylist to choose from — tadaaah! The stars aligned and James did an awesome job on my unruly hair. I’m anxious to return and try out his hair coloring skill but wonder if I can still use new client special (on website) advertised for color treatment even though I’ve been there once for a cut???

Melissa is seriously AMAZING. The 2 times I’ve seen her she was rescuing me from a hair emergency. (The first time was several years ago… I live an hour away or I would have just kept seeing her the last time I saw her, which was also the first time I saw her… also I had grown out my hair since then so it wasn’t so important to me to have a perfect haircut when it’s long). anyway, I just got my hair cut short down here in San Diego at a new salon and it wasn’t what I was hoping for… I went back 3 times to that same salon to try to get it right (it was way longer on on side and it wasn’t what I wanted… and it was improving… the last time I went in to even it up… and I’m not sure what went wrong but my hair got way worse… My hair was getting waaaaay shorter than I wanted in the process too and getting weirder! I needed to just give up on that salon and go to Adora :(. So I decided to go see Melissa because I KNEW she would know how to fix it… she totally did. She somehow made my hair look super cute. I picked up my daughter from a party and got so many compliments on my hair today! I love it. She’s a perfectionist and it’s totally worth it to me to pay for the master level stylist. It’s also totally worth it to drive an hour every few months to see her too because she knows exactly what she’s doing and I’m super particular about my hair esp when it’s a short cut… She’s very very experienced and plus she’s got a great personality. Super nice and funny, and interesting. She even remembered me and it’s been several years since I had seen her. Michelle does a great job too, she cut my hair several times before when I lived there and did some cute short cuts. There was one other person I saw there but I did forget her name. All the people I’ve seen there have been really good. Adora is also a really really nice place too, nice atmosphere they have great Aveda products too. The front desk staff are really nice and also professional and cheerful. It’s a nice experience. I have tried sooooooo soooo many different salons in San Diego and usually higher end salons. I do my research… I ask friends for recommendations, but have been just not quite happy too many times… honestly none of them have been as good as Adora. So I’m just gonna stick with Melissa as long as she’s there! It’s nice to just have someone you totally trust when your hair is important to you or you’re really picky like I am!

I moved to the area not too long ago and was in search of a new stylist. Unlike most people, I’m very picky about the atomosphere and the experience of the hair salon I go to rather than how perfect my hair is.
I got my hair done by Michelle today and she’s great! I’m quite the chatty little bird and I had fun talking to her. The whole salon has a nice vibe and the stylists are so sweet! I’ve had my hair cut short many times after growing it out before but this is by far my favorite short cut! It fits my face wonderfully. Its so light and airy but doesn’t lay flat. I also have a shaved undercut which makes cutting my hair much harder and she handled it beautifully. She told me what was going on every step of the way.
(They give you a little massage in the beginning too and it’s super relaxing.)
This is my new salon! Yay!

A friend of mine was in dire straights to get her hair done for her 1^st Marine Ball. Adora Studio was able to get in right away and Brad and his crew took amazing care of her. Got her in and out, hair AND makeup in 30 minutes. She had a fantastic time that night and Brad and his team made sure she had a stress-​free evening. Thank you Brad and everyone at Adora.

If you decide to go to Adora Studio, I HIGHLY reccommend Roxy! She is wonderful and very professional with her clients! :)

I was suggested to go here because of their Goldwellusa products. I found that that they didn’t have my color in goldwellusa but had similar gentle product in aveda. I was fine with that since I really don’t know the differences in colorant products. Roxy not only listened to me but recommended a color and a process for my hair.
Color came out fabulous. Couldn’t be more happy. Now onto the next challenge… the haircut. I wanted to go short. I haven’t been short for about 20years. Honestly I was nervous. She spent quite a bit of time cutting a lot of hair (I mean a lot!). So happy it was exactly what I wanted! Roxy I will See you in 7 weeks.
On top of the great color and cut the friendliness and the atmosphere and service was so great! I spoke with Brad quite a bit about places we lived (we lived in some of the same places in ca) and how we enjoyed living in oceanside. He is truly an business owner that is committed to his community! Again, I will see you in 7 weeks!

I went back and Amanda did an amazing job! The colors are bright and wonderful, and look like my reference picture!

Not happy with the service and quality of hair color or cut.

I’ve gotten my hair done twice by Amanda, and she is AMAZING! Finding a stylist that knows how to do blonde highlights and make them look natural, is so hard to find! I highly recommend her! :)

This salon is great and the «new talent» is amazing. For what you get, the price is very reasonable. I had my hair cut and colored by Amanda Krahel a few times now. She is one of the best stylists I have ever been to. The color is beautiful, and the cut is so up-​to-​date, but still easy to take care of. In addition, Amanda is so friendly and gives great customer service. The owner, Brad, is wonderful – so friendly. I really like the atmosphere in this salon, and I love the Aveda products they use – nothing harmful to the environment or to you. You cannot go wrong at this salon.

I have been coming to Adora Studio’s since it opened. I get my hair a color re touch every to weeks. I love the Avada products. Love the staff. The hair care professionals are wonderful. The owner Brad is fantastic. The price is right. Don’t forget to get points on your products. When your an Avada addict like me, I need all the points I can get. Adora Studio’s and Adora Salon are both the best salons in the area.

Adora Studio is a wonderful hair salon. I had an appointment for a women’s hair cut with Gray. I came in on a weekday morning and was greeted with a smile at the front desk and immediately Gray walked up and offered me something to drink and showed me to the back where there was seating and a coffee machine with all the creamer goodies to be added, so I made a coffee and they brought me a glass of water when I got seated. Adora Studio reminded me a lot of Adora Salon which is located about 2 blks down on Oceanside blvd. At the Adora Salon I have always had great experiences, great service and a great outcome with my hair cuts & coloring. It has been over a year however and I wanted to try Adora Studio because their pricing is less expensive and my budget is small. On top of it all I was able to use this great coupon for $ 10– off, so not expecting the world of my in-​expensive hair cut treat of the day, I was pleasantly surprised with a great experience. Gray was very kind and attentive in what I desired from my haircut. We had a brief consultation and I felt totally at ease with her recommendation and trusted her completely. She offered me a small complementary head/​neck massage (which from previous experience at Adora Salon, is a heavenly little treat) It was great as she used an oil that I got to pick from about 4 different scents. It was so relaxing… I’d like to do this weekly!!! After the massage we walked to the area where she washed my hair and it was nice. I think Gray is a wonderful hair dresser, she was fun to talk to and yet I felt relaxed enough to close my eyes when I wanted to to enjoy the hair cut when I wanted to chill and be quiet.
What was great is that I felt that she didn’t rush things, she took her time to give me a nice layered look, medium length. (I have very long hair, almost to my waist) She layered it without taking off too much, but enough for a great look. It looked healthier without the split ends, fuller and styled very nicely. She spent quite some time perfecting the layers and I just felt like it was a very positive and good experience. She gave me a few business cards & I was on my way. I will definitely come back and ask for Gray. I was very happy at the end and I will definitely recommend her to all my friends.

Very professional, I brought my daughter in for a pixie cut and they sat down with her and made sure it was exactly how she wanted it. Treated her very nicely. I’ll come back.

I went to get my hair and make up done by Anna yesterday for my marine corp ball and I could go on and on about how she did an amazing job on my hair or let the pictures speak for it self.
It’s day 2 and my hair is still curled.
Note: I roll around in my sleep and curls are still bouncy !

I came into the salon on Thursday (10.23.2014) for a cut & highlight from the recommendation from Adora Salon, since they had no appointments available same day & I was getting married the next day!
I called to schedule my appointment & the gentleman who answered the phone said I would be sitting with Anna. I came in about 15 minutes early & filled out my new client form. When I was done I was greeted by my stylist, Anna. She was very sweet & we went through my consultation about what I wanted done to my hair. We decided on taking off a couple inches & a partial highlight to blend thru my hair.
My whole appointment took about 2.5 hours, as I have a lot of hair & it was quite long. She was so personable & it felt like I was hanging out with an old friend. My hair looked absolutely beautiful & it felt great. I would 100% recommend this salon and the stylist Anna. If I wasn’t moving to San Francisco next week, I would definitely be back to see her regularly.

I came into this salon randomly after having lunch at Chipotle. I probably wouldn’t have come in if the someone didn’t say hi. I immediately had a consultation with Selena to discuss what I wanted done and it turned out they had time to do it that day! I ended up having two people work on my hair and I was in there for almost five hours, which was well worth it! They did an amazing job and turned my stubborn red-​dyed hair into a lovely dark brown/​dark blonde ombré perfection! I cannot wait to go again, this place is amazing. I love Aveda products and I can’t imagine going anywhere else but an Aveda salon! Do yourself a favor and have their peppermint tea while you get yourself pampered, it’s perfection!
