So on my sandwich, I think they put about a JAR of mayonaise on it! Sandwiches are not what they do best… I did enjoy my bag of chips.

Light on the meat and everything else. $ 8 sandwich? But wait there’s more… On my last visit one of the employees yelled, «HE’S GOT A GUN!!!» Really? I talked to the owner Morgan and he said, «He’s a high school kid — he was probably joking.» What? Joking? No don’t bother going here unless you want to be subjected to this kind of «joking». In this day and age that’s NEVER a joke. It’s obvious each store is individually owned because all the other stores I’ve had a great experience.

First time for me at a Jersey Mike’s and I wasn’t impressed. I came here nearly an hour before closing and the employees were already cleaning up for the night with the TV blasting away and no customers other than me to be served. I ordered a chicken parm and then after being told it will be a while, I got to watch them to continue to clean up the store. Finally to my surprise, one of the employees who had his back to me had the sandwich made, though I was never asked what size I wanted. And 8 dollars for a regular sized, luke warm sandwich seemed over priced to me. I think next time I’ll go with what I know to be good, Submarina, or even Subway, before I think to come here again.

Place has great food. But when you take the time to order what you want they should make it as you order it. Always polite and quick to get food but they still can’t get the order right the first time. Needs better management I guess.

All I have to say is watch out when you pay with a card. The cashier ran my card twice. Saying that the first time it didn’t go through… Ran it again and said it had gone through them. And today I have 2 charges for the same time! Even a receipt won’t help my case! Basically watch your card statement when paying with a card especially if they run it more than once for the same item… BEWARE! Horrible !!

I love Jersey Mikes… but I hate this one in particular. It’s as if some sick, twisted individual held a contest to find the most incompetent people on earth — found them — gave them a job at this Jersey Mike’s in order to film them and see how they perform in a customer service based business establishment. It’s just laughable at this point. I gave this place plenty of chances and I honestly don’t know who’s worse… the people that work here or the guy who shot Cecil the Lion!

Jersey Shore sub is great. Love this place! No matter where I am if traveling or not, always a great place for a sub. Thanks Jersey Mikes!

We love this sandwich shop, and have visited both the Oceanside and Vista locations. My wife grew up in New Jersey, and while it is a «chain,» the subs here are made fresh to order and taste fantastic. We have visited both locations easily a dozen times, and the service and food have been very consistent. Only once did we encounter a small issue here at the Oceanside location, when the business level must have been overwhelming, as they ran out of fresh bread! No big deal… just come earlier on a busy holiday weekend! Fresh ingredients and friendly, well trained staff make the difference here. I have enjoyed sub sandwiched from Sub Palace in Leucadia to the true chain Subway offerings, and Jersey Mike’s fill a delicious niche somewhere in between!

Big price for such a small sandwich! Very disappointed! Bigger better sandwiches at Frazier Farms! Made to order as well and cheaper!

Just moved to the area, and got a «buy one get one» coupon. I have to say, the entire crew was VERY friendly and helpful. Now to the food ;) I got a meatball and cheese and a chicken parm. WOW. Split them when I got home, and they were absolutely DELISH!!! One of the BEST chicken Parm sandies I’ve ever had on either West or East coast. I plan to «have a sub» at least every couple weeks. These were truly outstanding and the Marinara sauce was IMHO just«perfect». Jersey Mike’s and just a mile away? I’m THERE ;))

The employees are always friendly and just really down to earth which is always a nice touch. I usually get the number 7 which is a turkey sub with provolone cheese and I like to get it Mike’s way which means oil and vinegar to the tenth power. Okay so the prices are a little high but the subs are so much bigger and taste better. I used to be a fan of Subway but I really can’t see myself going there unless I really have to. I’m sorry Subway but you just lost a customer. The only thing is that I wish there were more Jersey Mike’s around like Subway. It’s cool that most of them have TV’s too which is a nice touch because Subway doesn’t.

In a short span these subs went from yum to yargh! Went in today, store wasn’t busy, but it looked like a fairly new crew. Ordered a #13 and wanted it heated on the grill. When they took my sandwich off the grill the girl wrapping it squashed it as she wrapped and handed it to me. That didn’t get me too much, but when I bit into the sandwich it was still cold. My tongue felt no heat whatsoever, in addition the drink I got was horribly watered down. Meaning either their soda was running low or they adjusted the ratio of water to soda-syrup mix. My friend that went with me quickly ate his meal, but even he said it tasted off. I couldn’t finish my meal. I thought about going back in to say something, but enough people had gone in to form a decent size line. I didn’t want any mid-day hassles. It’s safe to say though I won’t be coming back to this location. A waste of my 11 dollars.

I’ve been to this jersey Mike’s twice now. I’ve ordered something different every time and the sandwiches are always good but not amazing. I can’t really tell what it’s missing but I’m not in love so just 3 stars. The nice thing about this place is that they are never busy when I come so I don’t have to wait to be served. I get coupons mailed to my house. I once got a coupon for a free sub so that is a really good deal!

This is my second time trying Jersey Mike’s, who were voted«Best subs in San Diego» at one time. First time trying JM’s was last year in Point Loma and I wasn’t impressed. This time around I was even less impressed. Their sandwiches are nothing special. Certainly nothing to called«best in town». This time around the BLT’s bacon looked, smelled and tasted overcooked, was dark brown and hard. The pickles were fresh & crispy. They use white onions– which imo are meant to be grilled, not raw. Red onions would’ve been preferred. They also DONOT have sliced chicken on the menu which is a bit of a dissapointment Not my type of sandwich. I’ll eat there if it’s a group thing, otherwise I doubt I’ll be back. I’ll stick with Submarina and Port-a-Sub(heck even Subway). A flavorless, dry, soulless sandwhich for the dull and drab.

I have really liked Jersey Mikes from the first time I went. Great sandwiches at fair prices. My only complaint is that they seem to skimp a bit on the bacon. Well, not at this store! The staff are very friendly and the guy that usually makes my lunch likes to pile on the bacon(and who doesn’t love more bacon?). So, it’s fast becoming my new lunchtime spot. All Jersey Mikes are good, this one is GREAT.

I am a huge Jersey mike’s fan, so i was happy that one was opening near me. However, when I ordered, I said«for here». They handed me the sub a few minutes later for to-go. No biggie. I just scarfed it down without a plastic basket. What was actually disappointing was the quality of my sandwich. Usually, a jersey mike’s philly cheesesteak is so piping hot inside that you burn your mouth. The cheese is usually oozing all over the place. You burn your mouth so happy to the gooey, cheesy, meaty mixture inside. What I got was cold meat, unmelted cheese and not much filling compared to previous experiences at jersey mike’s. Bummed. Maybe it was just the people working there that night. but seriously bummed.

It’s a great thing in life when the Whale’s Vagina gets a Dirty Mike’s. Since Dirty is so often said or replaced with Jersey itself it’s only fitting that I lovingly call it that. First things first. The east coast and parts of MW sandwich culture is probably equivalent to the West coast taco culture. Their sandwiches are pretty big, mostly bread which is fresh baked in house, plenty of lettuce, tomatoes and«mike’s way» is optional with herbs and spices dusted after a healthy dose of oil and vinegar which to me is kind of just OK. Also don’t pay mind to the whole«certified angus beef top rounds cooked in store» because top rounds are basically London broil. It’s choice, but either way it’s an inferior cut of beef best used for high heat grilling. I like how they slice everything to order, meats, cheese and cook their cheesesteak sandwiches to order. Granted the later aren’t super authentic, but they are big, but also a bit pricey. Frankly the whole menu is only pricey because most people compare it to Subway. It sits somewhere between Gandolfo’s and Subway. Service is pretty good, you can tell most of the staff is new, they aren’t slicing by muscle memory just yet and don’t quite work as a team. Of course they’ll never see the massive rush’s I see at the location by my work. Yuppieville. Unlike philly places who carry tasty cakes, a local staple, Dirty Mike’s doesn’t carry truly authentic snacks and sodas that are found in Jersey. It’s franchised and that’s why 600 locations is a lot so most if not all of it’s authenticity is lost. Speaking of philly the big kahuna is very large, hefty and still kind of good, plenty of cheese, but I wanted a fattier cut of meat. Grilled pastrami reuben topped with bacon and avo to be gives a bit of everything in the rainbow for flavor profile. Super sub gives that extra kick over the shore favorite and the original Italian is a bit too much boldness. Tuna is not good, way too much mayo, I don’t care how fresh it is, the recipe is not good. capicolla on everything son. Order online when you know what you like, it’s not quite as good as Chipotle’s system, but they do have an app, unfortunately the nearest place you can order using the app is Vegas and it’s not all that user freidnly, really more of an online menu. Décor is a standard sandwich shop. Worth a try and if you like it this location is never busy.
