Zak did an excellent job educating me on wheels for my Sector 9 Longboard Cruiser. Set me up with a sweet set of Gravity 76 mm 77A. I think I hit G-Force speed going down my first hill towards the beach

Trying to get back into skating and felt like a old fart trying to skate after 5 years. The guys were true skaters didn’t pressure me to buying anything crazy just made suggestions. Definitely my go to skate gear spot. Going to go back to pick up a board for my wife also glad to see I can count on the the guys to help me out.

Great little shop. Absolutely no pressure. We came in looking like a family of tourists and they gave us lots of space — thinking we were quickies(or gypsies). But once we got down to real business, they were very helpful.

This is my favorite skate shop to go to in San Diego county. The people working are always incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Every time I’ve been in, someone has greeted me and asked me if I needed any assistance. There’s also no pressure here, and I never feel awkward or unwelcome when I’m just browsing the inventory. Not sure why anyone would write a bad review on this place, but from my personal experience, I always look forward to coming here; whether it’s for a deck, hardware, clothes or what have you. As I’ve said, my favorite thing about this place is how welcoming and helpful the staff are here. I’ll usually tell someone what I’m looking for, they’ll help me pick something out and then we might just talk about what ever for a few minutes. I think this shop definitely has a good skate vibe, while still being a responsible and well maintained business. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Let me just say you should never ever have a bunch of teenagers running one skate shop. The kids«working» in there were just lounging around talking on the phone and to their friends… Only one of them even acknowledged my presence, for being a skate shop they had a decent selection of boards and shoes and the like but they literally had ONE set of pads(elbow, knee, and wrist) in toddler size… If you want good customer service, I say pass on Asylum…

Buttery… …The new asylum graphic is sexy and this shop is real. Not some corporate crap that has dorky goods. The team is legit… plus, the manager makes me wet.

The guys at Asylum are true skaters. They aren’t mall-kids that got the job because they want to look cool. These guys actually skate and know what they’re talking about. You can also check their website for stock which is handy. Their address is
