Great little shopping center joint. Seating for about 10 inside and 10 more outside. Very full menu and a very attentive staff. Pizza is a little dry so ask for a little extra sauce. This was my first visit but I will be back.

We eat here often enough that I’m sad to be writing this review. The pizza is very good. I have never personally dealt with the service prior to my experience just now, as other family members typically do the ordering. However often we eat here and however good the food is, it is very hard to give any business more than one star when they refuse to answer their phones. My boyfriend called a few times, letting himself sit on the ringing phone for five minutes. This place according to my boyfriend is never busy, and we can see from other reviews that their hours are very selective. How are we supposed to place any type of order if we can’t depend on a business to simply be open at 2:44PM on a Monday? Do you not want our money? OK, we’ll eat something else then.

Was striving to look for a better alternative than all the McDonald’s and taco bells around and was brought in by the large lunch special sign where they have fresh made slices for only $ 2! I was craving a Philly cheesesteak but was okay with a slice of pizza until I noticed they have so much more variety too! I ended up getting my Philly cheesesteak and now am writing my first Unilocal review to say to go on in and try whats on their menu!

They are consistently good. The subs are good too. I also like that you rarely have to wait more than 20 minutes. The owner and staff are always friendly. Prices are good.

Great customer service! My daughter and I ordered a small pepperoni and grilled chicken salad, the gentlemen brought I to us and asked a few times if we needed anything else. Seems to have a good rapport with other customers as to go order pick ups were coming in and out. The pizza was great I loved the crust!

I’ve been ordering from this store for a very long time now and I’ve learned my way around the menu. The pasta’s I’ve tried(spaghetti with meatballs, fettuccine, and the shrimp one) have all been disappointing. I don’t think they make their own sauces by the way it tastes. I think the chef-boy-ardee stuff in a can tastes better than their spaghetti. The wings are decent. They bake them instead of frying them so for me personally I don’t like them. They do use an adequate amount of sauce though. If you liked the wings baked then you’ll enjoy these. I just don’t personally. The salads are fantastic. They shove as much veggies in there as they possibly can and I’ve never been disappointed. I usually order the Caesar and the romaine is always fresh and crisp and their croutons are huge. They also don’t skimp on the sauce. I’ve gotten two cups for a single order before. I haven’t tried their sandwiches or calzones but from what I’ve read they aren’t the best. The cheesecake is a no-no. You can tell they don’t make it themselves and it costs 3 $ for one slice and 30 $ for the whole thing. If you’re really hankering for dessert than the one slice will suffice but it tastes like the kind of cheesecake you buy pre-made from a grocery store. Their strong point is their pizza and cheesey bread. I personally hate the over-fluffy pizza you get from most chains like Pizza Hut or Little Caesars. Cusimano’s pizza is what I(believe is) real Italian pizza. Just plain cheese pizza from there is AMAZING. I haven’t tried their specialty pizzas simply because their normal pizza is so delicious. The prices on the pizza are hard to beat too. You can order anything from a small to their extra extra large, the box is so big you have to turn it sideways to fit it through a door and it’s not that expensive. The cheesy bread is also to die for. They DONOT skimp on the cheeses they use and it’s always baked to perfection. One of my only complaints is that they’re almost always late by 20 – 40 minutes. The pizza is worth the wait though. Though not everything on their menu is the best this is my favorite place for pizza in my area. I’d recommend to anyone who is a pizza fan.

I really liked this pizza place! I liked their sauce because it’s not sweet, but a little more peppery. Friendly service. I’ll go back!

We wanted pizza while we were staying with my inlaws and I found a coupon for Cusimanos. I saw that they make a 28″ pizza, and that was enough for me. When we got there, I couldn’t get anyone to agree to commit to the 28″ pizza, so we got two larges(chicken pesto and pepperoni) and a cheesebread instead. In short — It was not very good. It wasn’t bad, but the short version is that Costco pizza would have been a much better choice. The pesto pizza basically tasted like grocery store parmesan cheese, because it was pretty much covered in it. I couldn’t really taste much pesto or much chicken. It sounds harsh, but it was not gross or anything, just not very good. The pepperoni was pretty standard. I don’t think I’ll be coming back to Cusimanos the next time we are in Carlsbad, even if someone will agree to take on 28″ with me.

I ordered a meatball torpedo(their version of a calzone) what I got was pizza dough stuffed with lettuce tomatoes and cheese and a bunch of Italian dressing only a couple sliver slices of beef to be found and no marinara sauce. It was pathetic Greek salad stuffed in a pita. I’m not just disappointed I feel outright ripped off. I should have left when I walked in and noticed how dirty the place was floors and tables all had crumbs all over them. This is not a place you want to go. The only reason I might go back is to yank my dollar back of the tip jar!

great pizza, good pastas and salads. This guy paid attention when learning the trade. very nice job, I will continue to order my pizza here. I love reading reviews by people who are morons to the food industry. especially when it concerns food poisoning. food poisoning doesn’t take an hour or even two hour to affect you it takes almost all day. so stop screwing the good places that serve good food by putting that out there when you should just stop gnawing on your two day old McDonalds cheeseburger sitting in the sun on your dashboard!

Fast and FRESH! We love Cusimano’s. We do take out — no real place to eat inside this small place. Really just a front for the cooking in the back. Really Great crust, we get the regular large and eat all of the crust, because it is fresh and yeasty! We always get pizza with one of their salads(the ranch dressing is fresh made), but the many other Italian items on the menu look really tempting and I will definitely try one of these days when we aren’t in the mood for Pizza. Tough one!

Ordered a large cheese pizza for about nine dollars. Surprisingly better than we thought. Wish it had been piping hot when we picked it up but the flavors were nice. Would return to try something else. Think they have a really good weekend special. Medium 1 topping pizza, breadsticks and either a salad or pasta entrée for approx. 12.99. Sounds awesome!

When you can actually get pizza here, it’s delicious if it’s made how you want. However, there was a time I tried to visit for two days in a row, and even though someone was in the store after 11am, it was locked with the truck parked outside(in the 20 minute parking). On the 2nd occurence, I called to see why they weren’t open and was told they would be opening nearly an hour late(noonish) because delivery orders were being made and had to go out first. Huh? Seriously, have more people on hand near the lunch rush, it just makes sense.(Fortunately there are several other decent places to eat in the area that open on time.) There were also a couple of times our orders were botched. We had ordered«torpedoes» to go, and they used Canadian Bacon instead of salami, which we didn’t notice until we had to cut it open at home. It happened twice, and since my husband will eat anything, and we didn’t want to have to go back, we just kept it. I’m still trying to figure out if they were out of salami or just didn’t know what it was. And, since it was a torpedo, you don’t find out until it’s about to be eaten.(Which then leaves you with deciding how ambitious you are to get what you really ordered that night.) I’m not gonna lie about how tasty the food is, though, and that I’ve been known to do a little happy dance while I’m eating it, but due to mistakes and poor service, I have also chosen to order elsewhere when I don’t want to deal with the hassle of my call-in order being messed up.(Hence, a couple of lost stars.)

I called and ordered a Pepperoni Pizza. This pizza was great, it was fresh and on point, just everything about it was so good honestly. Like the dough was really good and the cheese was just on point, the sauce wasn’t weak nor overbearing, this is the Goldilocks pizza cause it was just right in every way. The people behind the counter, not sure if it was the owner or not but either which way they were super nice and friendly and thanked me for my business. Should you go here, well i can say if its for pizza, hell yes!

Pizza is really good. And you can get a large pizza for 8 bucks! The manager is friendly treats his customers well. The place is small sorta has like a New York feel but Cusimanos only has 3 or 4 tables it’s mostly a takeout or delivery place but there crust is good and their sauce taste great as well as the peperroni’s! you can order small medium large extra large and Giant! I recommend this place over Little Caesars, Domino’s, Pizza Hut and papa johns! Low price and taste good! + after your 10th purchase you get free pizza!

Decided to try this place since I had a good deal from the Entertainment Book. I was pretty excited to order a pizza from here given the prior reviews. From other Unilocalers, the Sicilian was the way to go. So we ordered take out on a large Sicilian with pepperoni, mushroom and pineapple. Unfortunately, our order came out wrong. When we brought the pizza home, it was a large ROUND pizza. I was very disappointed. Didn’t bother calling to voice my concern, since I was not in the mood to drive back in the rain. Definitely did not make a good first impression for me. Sorry…
