Round Table Pizza

I’ve been to this particular Round Table Pizza twice. Once to dine off the menu and once for the lunch buffet. If I rated the food alone, I would give them 4 stars. However, all the shortcomings I have experienced in other areas force me to rate it lower.
For our first visit here we ordered off the menu and the food was great (Garlic Twists, Flatbread, and Gourmet Veggie Pizza). Service was decent, but ALL of the arcade games were out of order. Bummer for my kids who look forward to playing games while waiting for their food.
Today we came for the lunch buffet. There were signs on the door saying that they could only take cash. I never carry very much cash on me, so we had to leave, find an ATM and come back. The buffet includes the salad bar, Garlic Twists, an assortment of pizzas (pepperoni, Supreme, Hawaiian, Gourmet Veggie,) and dessert pizza. It’s $ 7.99 for adults and $ 4.99 for kids. The food was excellent like always, the previously out-​of-​order arcade games were actually working, BUT, there are two stalls in the bathroom, one was out of order and the other was out of toilet paper. WTF!
I would totally come back because the food is good, but hopefully all the other kinks get worked out soon.

Placed an online order about 3:50 p.m. last night, which was well before the dinner hour. Asked for the pizza to be ready for pickup at 4:50 p.m. Pizza wasn’t ready at 4:50 p.m. At 5:00 p.m., asked the person behind the counter where it was. She said almost ready. Saw it sitting in the oven, but no one showed any signs of urgency in getting it out to me. Pizza was ready at 5:05 p.m. Had somewhere else to be, so didn’t have time to eat the pizza after it was so late. Got my money back and left. No justifiable reason for a pizza to be 15 mintues late when ordered an hour ahead of time and before dinner rush. Usually, enjoy the pizza, but not intending to go back anytime soon.

Not pleased. Had wife place order online because of advertised 15% discount. When I get there I get told I could have saved 50% by calling in. I only did the purchase online because I didn’t know. They wouldn’t honor the deal even if I canceled my order and redid it. I’m too honest to just walk out or do that… But come on, work with the customer… Especially if you are gleefully telling me I got ripped off.
I haven’t eaten the pizza yet, so I can’t comment on that. If it’s good I’ll edit this and double the stars.

Awesome pizza and wings! Friendly staff and laid back atmosphere (unless you hit the buffet) the pizza has a unique smoky flavor and the wings are perfect.

Always friendly service. Food is good. I’m not a huge pizza fan like the rest of my fam so I usually hot up the salad bar but I always leave full. I would like to see some better deals. 1 large and 1 xl pepperoni pizza with 3 sodas was $ 58, and that is with the large being on special. But we will be back…

BROKEN WEB SITE AND THEY WILL NOT FIX IT. Going on a year now. Comical:
1. The BBQ Chicken Pizza does not have chicken on it! It is left off on the order screen, if you add chicken back on, it charges it as extra. 2. You order delivery, see the delivery charge, but it changes your order to pickup. This one happens pretty much every time and they know it. Their response is like wow. 3. They show a coupon on their own site, then reject it. IF YOU ORDER ONLINE, YOU HAVE TO CALL IN TO FINISH YOUR ORDER. DO NOT PAY BY CREDIT CARD IN CASE THEY CAN NOT GET YOUR ORDER RIGHT. — I call and they are wonderful and friendly… oh yeah, that coupon code works… oh yeah, look, Chick Pizza but Chicken is not marked on the ingredients, wow. And like the last time I ordered on line… changed it back to a delivery. Last time I did the entire order 3 times to be convinced you really can not get a delivery order entered. This time I did my detailed order twice before giving up on their coupon entry. CORPORATE, FOR THE THE SAKE OF THIS GREAT PLACE THAT MAKES GREAT PIZZA, FIX YOUR WEB SITE.

Restaurant was clean, employees were nice and food was OK. No way was it worth the extreme prices. My wife and I will not visit here again.

This place is awesome. The pizza is excellent and the price is just right. On Monday they have ½ off Specialty pizzas! My fave is the King Arthur Supreme. It is pretty much a supreme (meat and veggies) and they always accommodate me by doing ½ pepperoni so my kids can enjoy without the hassle of picking off the toppings they dislike. The staff is always friendly and they are always on top of their game when it comes to cleaning dirty tables and restocking the salad bar. There are also board games available (free of charge) to keep your family busy as they wait for the pizza. I love 30 miles away, and gladly make the drive to eat at this location!

This was my 1^st time at this location and I was pleasantly surprised with the young lady who greeted me at the cash register. The customer service was exemplary & that is what I look for in a restaurant first. Tala was so gracious & even up sold an offering. This is such a wonderful first time.
The food was exceptional from other Round Table Pizzas that I’ve been to. There was plenty of fresh salad with all the fixings & pizza. The staff looked great in their uniforms, very clean cut & presentable. Makes one feel good to see everything so CLEAN!!!
This is a great spot for a quick lunch buffet & you have got to meet Tala the Cashier. She will really make you smile.

Only gave this place a couple stars because the staff are nice, but honestly the «calzone» should be called. a thousand island hot pocket. Perhaps the pizza is the main event, but from the personal pan pepperoni I got my kid, I wasn’t impressed.

Without taste, the supreme pizza toppings were substandard. The sausage, mushrooms and even the green pepper was bland. The cheese was not browned, just melted. The dough was thick and gooey. We ordered online and picked it up. We had to wait ten minutes. We will not order from Round Table again.

Wonderful and pleasant service! Monday’s the day to go (50% off pizza!) I ordered at 6pm and was told my pizza would take 30 mins but it was ready in only 10! Super fast always fresh. One of my favorite spots for pizza. Rosalyn has been very kind to us each visit as well and we love her customer service.

Great customer service. They made a fresh veggie pizza for the pizza buffet upon request and then notify me at my table when they placed it on the buffet super super thoughtful. This place never disappoints in the salad bar is always fresh too.

Truly the worst restaurant experience that I have had since moving to so Cal! Started with some old guy trying to tell me what to order. Then two employees were yelling at each other in the kitchen area, so loud that they could be heard when I was trying to order. One pizza and 12 wings, soda and a beeer. 50 minutes to get an average at best pizza, the wings never showed up, went to counter and employees asked if I got the wings, nope, oh they are right here! Watched her add some buffalo sauce, pour some runny ranch in a cup and call them done! Except it was now an hour later and only half of the amount of the wings I ordered! Went to the restroom on the way out, toilet stopped up with green turds and no toilet paper to be found! No manager and no employee made any effort to make any part of my first trip to this terrible place any better!

I’ve liked RTP since I was a little kid and I still do like the pizza but I’m 99.9% sure that every single person at this location is high. The whole staff needs to be drugged tested and at the very least learn how to be functioning potheads. It’s incredibly depressing. Nothing is ever right, ever. And you have to add an additional 45 minutes to anything they say. But the pizza itself is always good. And the place is pretty clean. I just want the staff to not be so high or slow because they seem like nice people, who hates potheads? Potheads are always nice, just need them to be a little more efficient. I’m still going to go though. Just clear my schedule. Maybe if they doubled as a dispenser and the patrons were also stoned they wouldn’t notice?

Absolutely love the pizza from Round Table! Only thing that really sucks is that the cheese sticks are never in the oven for as long as they should be…

Round Table has been my favorite pizza for 47 years until I moved to Oceanside and tried pizza Port for the first time. Came back here last night and got a small pizza for first time ever we normally get an extra large which is over $ 30. The small was $ 17 my husband and I both agree we won’t be back because in comparison we go to Pizza Port get a small share it and still bring a couple pieces home and we could also get a couple beers for less than the small pizza here. Sorry Round Table but you guys need to keep your pizza the same but check out your competition. Pizza Port has us covered with their Romo, tastes almost like your King Arthur for half the price.

This is one of those they-​tried-​really-​hard-​to-​fix-​it experiences. I ordered online and the confirmation told me to pick it up at 8:03. I got here about 7:55 and they told me it would be at least another 20 minutes. The cashier was apologetic and asked me if he could upgrade my pizza size, throw in a free soda or salad etc but I really didn’t want that
since I’m trying to watch my figure ;)
In the end he gave me a 15% off coupon. He ducked out of the kitchen to keep me updated when it was 5 minutes from being done. The pizza was ready at 8: 08– just 5 min late. I rushed home to eat it and it was delicious :) the end

This USED to be mine and my husband’s favorite, once a week dinner. Ever since my 5 star review (no exaggeration) this place is worse than Papa John’s. It’s with a sad heart I write that because I have such fond childhood memories of this pizza place. Our orders have been wrong almost every time (they gave us a free meal and even that came wrong), lack of ingredients, lack of quality (aka the pizza toppings being on top of the box or minimal), and less than their promised number of wings almost habitually. We will NOT be paying extra for quality I can get from a $ 6.99 dominoes deal. We ordered a triple play plus (supposedly 30% more toppings) and got a mediocre triple play that wasn’t even the right size. Beware and DON’T pay premium prices for shotty food.

I love Round Table Pizza and it is definitely the best chain pizza around in my opinion. I typically go to the Tierrasanta location but I live in Vista now, so this is the only option I have. This review is more about the service than the food… The pizza is good, even at this location.
The delivery time is quoted at 45 – 60 min and I understand if it’s a couple minutes later than that. The first time it was late was because of course they were busy and the driver got «lost». I still tipped her $ 5 bucks… Shit happens.
The second time I called at 65 mins and was told the driver was behind a little bit and would be to my house soon. So when I called back 30 minutes later I asked to speak directly to the manager. As he put me on hold, which he didn’t, I could hear him asking the other employee where my order was. He then proceeded to tell me that he couldn’t get in touch with the driver, even though they just forgot to make my pizza! He said just in case they couldn’t get in contact with the driver they would make another pizza. I didn’t have to pay for the pizza and they asked me if I wanted anything else on them which semi made up for the inconvenience.
