Del Taco

For the most part, it’s what you would expect from a Del Taco but … Make sure you check your order before you pull away from the drive thru. Tonight I caught the missing caramel bites luckily but then when I got home, no straws or napkins.
Beer-​battered shrimp tacos are really good (2 for $ 4.50). But I definitely did not like the new Epic surf & turf burrito — way too spicy. Unless they accidentally gave me the fuego shrimp in there instead of regular, and in that case minus one more star!

The food here was mostly good but the beans are very bland. I guess you can’t expect too much for fast food. The lady at the register was very nice. My complaint was that there was a guy digging through the trash right next to where we were eating. The staff watched this and continued to let him do it. No one wants to eat their food while someone else is beside them slinging trash all over. It ruined our meal because that’s all we could smell.

Worst Macho Nachos I’ve ever had. I have better-​tasting (Rosarita) re-​fried beans in a can at home, and I have real cheese that tastes like real cheese at home too. I don’t know what was up with the «grilled» chicken pieces, but they all looked the same and looked like dark meat. I didn’t eat much, and my son wasn’t happy with his burrito either.

This is the worst Del Taco I have ever been to. they make you wait forever at the drive-​through just to take a simple order even if there’s no one else in line. And when we saw the inside through the window it was filthy. My husband got the turkey burritos and he had bone pieces in his meat. and they didn’t wrap the burritos correctly so they fall apart when you try to eat them. They also don’t pay attention to the order because I asked for no onions in my veggie Fresca bowl and it had tons of them. my husband asked for sour cream in his burritos and we were charged for it but they forgot to put it in. The worst part was the girl serving the food at the drive-​through was terribly sick and when we asked another server about it he said she had allergies. She was obviously very sick wiping snot from her nose as she was serving the food. We live nearby and we will be sure to tell all of our friends and relatives who visit us not to go to this location.

I love Del Taco, but this location is one of the worst I’ve been to. It’s dirty, long waits, sub par service, employees that don’t care, yada yada. I’ll find another Del taco to go to.

We always stop here on the way to San Diego. It’s right off the freeway, just past Camp Pendleton. We stop here to grab a drink and let the doggie use the grass as a bathroom… we pick up after her of course!
I hate to say this but walking in here is right out of a Twlight Zone movie. I’ve never seen so many characters in my life, but hey, our fighting Marines are always in here too so I’ll give them three stars.
They are usually pretty busy here so the lines are long and the wait can be long also. The employees have always been cheerful and friendly.

Why the 3-​star? Comparing this Del Taco to all other fast food places, it’s average. We all know what to expect with Del Taco when it comes to food. Really we rate these places on service, value, cleanliness. I rolled through this drive in at midnight on our way back from San Diego Airport and the service was perfect. The attendant was friendly, helpful and prompt. Our meal was out the minute we paid and was made as ordered, hot and tasted like Del Taco should. What else could you ask for with a late night fast food run?

It’s del and the food was on par with what you expect. But the tables, chairs and floor were pretty dirty. It just makes me think the kitchen isn’t clean either.

Lot of angry face in this place the other guess all look Pissed I’ve been next in line for about 10 mins now so I could see why, but then again it is taco Tuesday there’s a long line of cars in the drive threw the store is clean and stocked it is what it is

We stopped at del taco after a long drive from the Inland Empire and Marissa the young lady that rang up our order was awesome. She was smiling and very friendly. We had our late dinner in a comfortable environment and we were very happy. Thanks Oceanside Del Taco

This del taco keeps on sucking, they consistently make me the worse del taco food I’ve ever had which really sucks because it’s so close to my house and I like del taco.

TERRIBLE!
Ok so I understand this is fast food and I should expect less than healthy and less than quality food but customer service should never have to suffer. We waited in the drive through line for 25 min for 4 tacos! There was only one car ahead of us so there is no way it was their fault. Once we got to the window we waited for another 10 min. There was no apologies just terrible! We had very little time (hence the drive threw option) and I promise you we will never go back there again.

they have a great burger, don’t laugh unless you’ve had it.
their crinkle cut fries are always a hit with me.

NO name tags, half EATEN cookies of employees sitting on top of coffee dispenser, male employee walks in cleaning the crap from his eyes and begins serving food WITHOUT WASHING his hands. DISGUSTING!

This place used to be great! Fast service, great food, friendly people. Ya well, that’s all out the drive through window! Now it only has ONE thing going for it. it’s the only place in the area. I think you could open up «Scheckies Poop Tacos» next door and put them out of business.
Seems not too long ago they cleaned house and there’s a whole new crew and they could care less about you and your visit. Jose the manager… GONE! Karen the drive thru girl… GONE! Service… GONE!
The crew now it a bunch of slackers. They wander around behind the counter dong nothing. The cashiers ignore you and are too busy chatting with the people that are supposed to be making food… but you haven’t ordered it yet.
Than when they finally take your order the food makers are unorganized and look around like they have no clue what they’re supposed to do.
So where”s the manager during all this? Who knows, you’ll never see him. I eat a lot of fast food and this is the worst run place I’ve ever been to. They need to clean house again starting with management because it’s obvious no one has been trained!
It’s sad really. this location used to be so good. Fast, friendly and put out consistently good food. Not any more.

Dirty. Very dirty. You cannot expect much from a food food chain. This place has the starard items on the menu. I quick burger, taco, or fries. Looking back though, the place has quick food for cheap. You get what you pay for though.

I went to this location yesterday for their new dollar-​and-​under menu items promotion. It’s neat, clean and the employees appear to be happy. The manager is on top of things, and unlike other locations where it seems like teenagers are running the place, he’s an adult. (I have nothing against teenagers, but sometimes it’s a good thing to have an adult in charge.) The food was made and packaged with care.
Last time I went to one of the other Oceanside Del Tacos, my burrito was thrown together haphazardly, and they just threw it in the bag, basically unwrapped.
I give it five stars, but take into consideration that it IS still Del Taco. ..

Ate breakfast at this location 3 days in a row. Service was polite; didn’t go wrong with the chicken quesadilla and caramel cheesecake bites. I’m one happy camper :)

If Christina Aguilera came to this particular Del Taco, she would have one word for you: Dirty.

This place reminds me of the movie Idiocracy. I would say that all the employees in this particular Del Taco are real life Idiocracy people.
And you wonder, why do I keep coming back? You’re probably thinking that I too am an example of a typical person in Idiocracy.
Well common logic would dictate that 49 cent tacos is hard to pass up especially after working out at the nearby Camp Pendleton. And there’s even a better deal of 12 tacos for $ 5.88. Despite their sub-​par taste… at least I get my protein fix.
