Deno’s Pizza

So I have been to this place several times over the years. usually I am at the bar across the street and just go over and order my food and pick it up. But this time I decided to try their delivery service while at work. I called and placed my order a sub, fries and a PEPSI. So when the food arrives I instantly see the RED CAN of soda in the bag. I say to the delivery person I wanted a pepsi not coke. He said what? Coke is the most popular one. I proceeded to say if I would have known you did not have pepsi I would have gotten something else because I reallllly don’t like Coke. He just laughed and I went back to my office not very happy. My fries were not cooked a well as they usually are or maybe it was from them being enclosed for the ride. I would recommend you pick up your food from here because those are my best experiences from this place. No complaints on the sub btw! The 2 stars is strictly for the delivery service.

I would have given more stars but I’ve ordered from them may of times, and each time the wait for food gets longer and longer, this time it’s going on three hours, the foods pretty good here but the wait time is getting ridicules, I could have walked there and back and still have been home eating quicker than this, I’m just glad that tonight we didn’t have to order for the family as the kids would have been starving by now, now I’m just down the street and the first five or so times we have ordered its been like a half hour to an hour which is acceptable as we know it a pain to get onto base but the last few times we have been creeping around 2 hours for delivery, that’s totally not acceptable on anyone’s book.

Its really sad to say but a little while ago I would give this a 5 star review but they’ve become quite skimpy on their portion sizes for their sub so they’re only half the size mostly bread not impressed at all :-(I don’t know what happened but I doubt if I will order from them again. and that’s too bad because we were regular customers.

The BEST totally fresh pizza dough around! I’m spoiled! I refuse any other pizza if I’m in proximity of Denos!

First, the positives: We ordered online and had no issues with that! They offer free delivery, which I appreciate and which was why we went with them over our usually carry out places. It was about 45 minutes from the time we placed our order online to the time the delivery guy knocked on our door, which was in fact 15 minutes quicker than the estimated delivery time we’d been told by Grubhub.
I also liked that the pizza had a good amount of cheese and our selected topping (green peppers) on it.
But like Sid below, we did not at all care for the way the tomato sauce on the pizza was spiced. The mexican/​taco seasoning-​esque spicing did not appeal to us, and we have a bunch of leftover pizza no one is very keen to finish. We will stick with our regular pizza places in the future.

Pizza had a strange flavor. Tasted like it had Mexican/​taco seasoning mixed in the sauce. I did not like the flavor but that is my opinion. No reason to give less than 3 stars. Maybe they are known for their «different» pizza flavor. Will definitely go to Momma Roma’s next time we are in the area.

Delivery was much faster than I anticipated. The food was very good I will be ordering from Deno’s again in the near future.

I decided to try somewhere new today and ordered a cheeseburger sub and some pizza fries from these guys. The food arrived in about 30 minutes, which is on par for delivery places here. The cheeseburger sub is by far the tastiest sub I’ve had from any of the nearby sub places. The fries weren’t bad either. Definitely going to try this place again.

Used to work right by this place. And aside from Pizza Hut this was the only other place that made me love their pizza!
Small carry out place that only has a few chairs. A typical pizza menu. But their pizza’s? My gosh they are amazing! Their sauces are sweet compared to the other pizza places. Not too doughy and more toppings on top, sweet sauce and a little bit greasy. Just the way I like it!
Service is always fast. Prices are typical. Friendly guys!

A plus for delivery on post (haven’t been to the actual restaurant). Their large pizza was small in comparison to most places and I wasn’t impressed with their sauce. Had an overpowering taste of bad tomato paste and oregano.
