This restaurant is simply stunning. For the food, the price, the ambiance. Everything. The generousity and the care. Dont be discouraged by the older negative comments, there are new staff, new menus, new interior design, a whole new energy within the restaurant. Over the years this café certainly evolved and matured. And all the workers are very sweet. I definetly recommend anyone to come here to dine in, they have many specials as well! If your lucky you can try out some quality korean food(as the owners are korean american) such as bulgogi. This is by far my favorite local restaurant here and would perfer it over any other restaurant around here. Customers are friends here.

This used to be our weekend breakfast spot. We’d come in and the staff would know our food and drink order. It felt like family. Unfortunately, since the renovation and Sarah and her mother leaving it isn’t the same. The servers are inexperienced and immature. The place used to feel welcoming and like a real mom and pop breakfast shop. It now looks and feels sad and cold. The food is the same which is great… that is if you can get one of the servers to 1. Get your order correct and 2. Be remotely attentive with the tables they have. I doubt we will be coming here very often, which is sad. I feel like they are going to lose a lot of regulars.

Used to come here regularly before the remodel. Used to feel like home, now it feels like any other place you can get breakfast, the food is fine. The real problem isn’t the remodel, it’s the fact that the head server and her daughter, Ms. Young and Sarah, are now gone. They MADE this place. I can get breakfast in 10 places within a 2 mile radius, but I always came here because the staff made it feel like home. Always smiling, friendly, knew your name and your order, and always greeted you when you walked in with a hearty«Hi!» Now? Why come here when anywhere else will do? Irreconcilable differences I guess.

S O H A P P Y with our visit to the Orchard Café! A M A Z I N G service, the staff is friendly, attentive and obviously enjoy working at Orchard which makes the experience very enjoyable. A charming and cheerful atmosphere serving simple, all American food. A place to come together as a community. Love it!

Today they were exceptionally busy and couldn’t effectively manage their customers. I came in around 11 am with a party of 6. People started piling at the entrance and employees just ignored them. People took to seating themselves since there was no real guidance or signs. We sat ourselves and we’re seen immediately for drinks, however the waitress disappeared after that. I had asked for more silverware as there were only two on the table. She never got it for us. Nor did she provide straws, which isn’t such a big deal. After a significant amount of time passed she finally came back to take our orders. I watched her walk around busing dishes, not really opening up new tables in the process, and ignoring us as we sat ready with our order. Her priorities seemed to be backwards, in my opinion. The customers at tables to our left were also in the same position. She took our orders but had to come back less than 10 min later to clarify the sides and how we wanted the eggs cooked, this led me to think that she was completely new to being a waitress. Not only did we spend a ridiculous amount of time waiting on what was supposed to be a quick lunch, one of the orders was never put in. We cancelled that when we found out and left. Probably not coming back.

This is such a cute place. The owner is the sweetest. I ordered pancakes with strawberries. I was a little sad it wasn’t fresh strawberries, it was like preserved. but it was still yummy. The menu is like a build your own breakfast. I also loved the pictures on the wall.

Transplant from VA. I have had far better experiences at other diner-like places. I am not sure what the raving reviews were about. I barely finished my meal. The coffee tasted cheap along with my pancakes and sausage. I think I’ve had better at all the discounted hotels I’ve tried on my travels. I will not be returning to this place.

Very very good food. Fun atmosphere. The Crab Benedict was amazing. Better than I’ve had at most places. The service was great as well. Very friendly. Highly recommend this place.

Great !! Got here for breakfast and there was a slight wait but filled with great people and locals. Super fast and friendly service. Got the eggs over medium with bacon home fries and toast. Great start to the day, if I ever get to visit again I will definitely get the French toast, it looked great!

Yum Yum! As we were enjoying a fantastic breakfast the manager pleasantly asked, «Is everything okay?» I responded with a firm«No, everything is not okay.» followed by, «Everything is absolutely wonderful!» That just about sums up my thoughts on our five star breakfast adventure.

Love this place! Even on the weekends the wait for breakfast isn’t too long. Great service, possibly family owned? A great place that feels like part of the community. I’m a big fan of how many pieces of crispy bacon they give you with your eggs and toast :)

Wow! How is this a 4 star? For a diner/café, Orchard Café takes the cake on all fronts and definitely beats out a Denny’s or Waffle House!!! Came here after reading a previous review and was NOT disappointed!!! IF you are looking to support mom n pop type establishment, eat a great hardy breakfast and not break the bank this is the place for you. Snuggled right next to Food Lion in the Piney orchard shopping complex The Orchard Café is the perfect little breakfast secret in Odenton. I waited until two visits to write a review but wish I had gotten to ya’ll sooner. Both times I ordered the crab cake eggs Benedict which comes with home fries a classic Benedict egg sitting on a perfectly fresh crab cake and a toasted English Muffin with a smooth hollandaise sauce drizzled over the top. I also got a side of crisp bacon. I payed 15 or 20 bucks right? Nope I got everything mentioned above for right around $ 10.00. They aim to please with service as well. You will most likely never see the bottom of your coffee cup. And the food comes out in about 10 minutes even if they are busy. And if you come here long enough you may even get you picture on the wall. ;). You’ll understand what I mean when you check this place out.

This café is adorable. I didn’t even realize it was here until I found myself needing to waste some time in the area and drove into the shopping center. I came in here to grab some coffee, but the adorable charm of the place made me feel like staying a bit and I ordered some french toast. The staff is very friendly and polite, and the interior walls are decorated with happy pictures of past customers. I got my coffee almost immediately and my food wasn’t far behind. Although it was only french toast, it was good french toast, and my boyfriend enjoyed his plate of pancakes as well. Even the coffee was good, and I can be hard to please when it comes to coffee. The prices were great, very reasonable for a diner menu. I most certainly recommend this place for a nice little meal if you’re in the area.

Solid 3-star. The food was typical diner style and when you’re in the mood for that, it’s good. Very affordable also! This is the type of place ‘where everybody knows your name.’ The kitchen area is a little skeevy. I am sure that a lot of things I saw occur behind closed doors at other restaurants, but maybe that is the point — they need a curtain/door. There were exposed bags of soda being fed into the fountain machine, cups stacked on a dirty counter, someone’s vitamins??, servers’ purses, a big jug of Windex… time to get a curtain.

And this, my dear Unilocalers, is why I abide by the«no national chains when away from home» rule — I manage to find surprising and unassuming spots such as Orchard Café, and then hope to pass along the good word to the Unilocal community. I was in the MD picking up a motorcycle with my hubby, when we stopped for lunch. Orchard Café looks to be a random breakfast/lunch spot in a Food Lion strip mall, with all-day breakfast/lunch in a homey, no-frills café, its walls covered in 5×7 photos of local/regular customers. Service was super-friendly, accurate, and prompt. The menu had a nice variety of breakfast standards, and a full cadre of sandwiches, salads, dinner plates, and soups. When in Maryland, I typically feel compelled to take full advantage of the more reasonably-priced crab and seafood, and the better prices on food in general. Enter the magical sub-$ 20 lunch we enjoyed today… I ordered the Crab Cakes Benedict — English muffin was perfectly toasted, two nicely-poached eggs, and two sizable all-crab meat cakes served with a hearty dose of Old Bay-themed Hollandaise sauce, plus a side of roasted homefries. I normally skip the potatoes/homefries altogether, but these were non-greasy and perfectly crispy. I also couldn’t believe that my dish, with its TWO crab cakes, was only $ 9! The hubby ordered their chicken salad sandwich on a toasted sub roll. The chicken salad is made with all-white meat chicken, and was neither mayonnaise-y nor loaded with fillers like celery. Coffee was decent, noise level not bad, and the service just what we needed.
