The girl at the front desk was great, got me in and out. The room came equipped with Paul Mitchell products, which was a great change from the typical hotel toiletry. My only issue was that housekeeping came in and threw all of the shampoo/conditioner/lotion away. I had another night left and it would have been nice to have those toiletry items. Other than that, a nice spot if you need to stay in Odessa.

I would not recommend this property. I had several issues with the room. Blood on curtains(hey hydrogen peroxide would solve this). Toilet seat broken, toilet malfunction, kept running unless you played with the handle, and the bath tub plate wasn’t adhered properly. Asked at the front desk to have these things taken care of, and the toilet seat was fixed, but nothing else. I guess that 100% grantee means a whole lot of nothing!

This place is under construction water gets turned off. There are workmen everywhere getting in your way. On our floor the ice machine is broken. everyone is apologetic but you are not getting the full Marriott experience.

We stayed here three nights while relocating our son in the area. The staff was great — friendly from the time we checked in to when we left. The breakfast buffet was well stocked regardless of us arriving 30 minutes before it closed and there we plenty of hot & healthy selections. The breakfast room was comfortable with enough seating. Our beds were firm but not rocks. The room was in great shape and clean. Housekeeping did a nice job every day. We’ll plan to stay here when we visit our son.

I have never experienced a more unaccomodating staff, I frequently stay at Mariotts and am quickly building a platinum status. I will be transferring my reward points to Hilton immidiately, it is unfortunate that a brand has been tarnished due to the lack of hospitality from one of their smaller locations in Odessa TX. In end, Mariott needs to up the class of their employees even in smaller cities. Wendy the manager needs to be fired.

Stayed here for four nights and had no serious complaints. The room was clean enough and we didn’t experience any noise problems. The breakfast bar did run out of a few items on some of the mornings, but they seemed to be able to keep the hot breakfast well stocked. I went to the front desk to ask for a stamp, or if I could buy a stamp from them, and they said that they don’t have any stamps. The girl didn’t even bother looking for me. I highly doubt a place of business doesn’t have any stamps, and I didn’t like being treated like it was such an unreasonable request. I would stay here again, though it’s surprising to me how expensive hotels are in this area. Who does Odessa think it is, Manhattan?

All other hotels were booked, so it was 270 a night here. Similar lodgings in Dallas would be low 100s, but this is a booming town, so one should expect high prices for just so-so lodgings. All that being said, it appeared clean and service was friendly. The rooms were outdated, but about what I expected. I’m just going to try and set up lodging further in advance next time.

I think this place is a solid 2 stars. I’m more upset that the price of the room was $ 170 a night without taxes… The hotel and the room were of decent quality. Pretty much on par with other Fairfield Inn’s etc. That said: Problem #1: The front desk never bothered to give me the message that was left for me for when I checked in. I had a coworker who called and left me a location and meeting time for work that I never got. Because of this, I had to get up early enough to know that I’d be able to make it where ever I had to go in time. This meant 5 hours of sleep instead of 6 ½ after flying. Problem #2: The first day of breakfast, the coffee was cold and the juice machine wasn’t on/working. The rest of the food was of OK quality. Problem #3: I got a sinus infection(though not sleeping enough doesn’t help this, it isn’t their fault). I don’t however like their mannerisms when I asked if they have anything like ibuprofen and nyquil. Judging by the other reviews, I think I am in the minority but I was definitely not the happiest about staying here.

Very pleased with my stay here. This is one of the best places to stay for the money. Speaking of money, the whole area(Midland/Odessa) is expensive to stay in a hotel in. Be wary of other hotels that post a picture of their rooms and when you get there you are given a dog house to sleep in. That’s not the case with this place. Clean, nice, and professional English speaking people run this place and it shows in their product. I say stay here if you can get a reservation, but make them asap. It fills up fast. I will stay here again.

Stay away from this hotel, mainly because of the manager(i think her name is Wendy) truly a witch. Overpriced, noisy and breakfast is poor. RUN!

Pretty good by motel standards, not great by hotel standards. We got a really great rate though. The gym consists of a couple treadmills and an elliptical in a room the size of a closet. Free breakfast. Free bottled water. Comfortable space foam mattress. Boring view. Odessa is pretty forgettable. This was just a place to sleep. Ho hum.

While this hotel is the tiniest smidge more expensive weekdays(less expensive on weekends) & older than others in the area, it has the best staff, room amenities and view. This is not a bet — it’s a sure-fire perk to a vacation in the rather blah Midland-Odessa area. Kinda like a good wine with your cheeseburger. Thanks, John, you saved our vacation. Yeay!
