Took the entire family out for a celebratory dinner and all the staff were very nice and accompanying to our large group. Our server was welcoming and always offered if she could do something more. Although the other servers were busy, they helped each other and made dinner very enjoyable for the 18 of us. Although the drinks could have been filled more frequently, everything else was fantastic and we will be back!

I’ve had better pasta from a high school cafeteria. Lights went out in the dining area for a full minute before being turned back on. The entire wait staff looks high on meth. Waitress missed the table dropping an entire plate of seafood Alfredo on my boyfriend’s lap. 15 minutes later an equally high looking manager came by our table to give a very insincere apology and quickly leave. We were still charged for the meal. I’m tempted to call corporate, but I’d rather just never return to a Johnny Carino’s in my lifetime. Only reason they got one star is because there isn’t a zero option.

As a fan of Carino’s in other areas, I have stopped by here multiple times, mostly in hopes of things improving. This last time is my last. I came in by myself from out of town for work. I sat in a booth for 15 minutes with no one acknowledging me. I decided to leave and requested a manager. He half-​laughed it off stating it was ‘the waitresses fault’. After having a fruit fly epidemic and poor service on two previous visits, I won’t be coming back again.

We haven’t had a problem with the taste of the food. We have had the problem with POOR service. This place is ALWAYS slow and the food takes FOREVER. We only come here when we have absolutely nothing to do that night & want to kill time because you will take about three in a half hours just to get a refill.

How can I go inside a restaurant and hope that the inside is cleaner than the outside. My husband and I went there for lunch and had to park in the rear. Well the back parking lot is filled with debris, trash, overgrown weeds and broken shopping carts. Not to mention there was a guy in the back urinating on an abandoned tire that was left in the parking lot as well. I will not patronize a place where if they don’t care to clean the areas the customers can see, that I would trust they would keep the parts we don’t see any cleaner. Needless to say, we left and went next store to Logan’s.

Absolutely delicious! Definitely will be back. The only problem is they are a bit understaffed, but so is every other restaraunt in the area. Way good Italian food! Check it out!

Went for my birthday and had a good experience. My food was good and so was my husbands. I only gave a 4 star because my sons plate barely had enough food for him and I had to share some of my food with him (he’s 5 and they gave him a toddler sized portion at best).

My family and I love eating at Johnny Carino’s so when I moved to Odessa 1 month ago we decided to eat there. The service was AWFUL. We waited for our food forever. They were very understaffed. What should’ve been a quick 1 hour dinner ended up taking 2 and a half hours. Won’t be coming back here.

Hostess walks us to a table which was not clean and I asked to be seated at another table. Buss girl hears my request and responds «I wasn’t done cleaning».
Finally we’re seated only to wait for our waitress who seems confused on who she should serve first. Our bread comes out with no silverware to cut our bread. We waited long enough for small plates which finally came after we used our napkins to hold our bread. Waitress says «I guess you don’t need the small plates since you didn’t order appetizers». I’ve never been to Johnny Carinos with such poor service. I don’t plan on coming back.
And last our pasta sauce was bland and watery. Very disappointing.

Worst service ever. Visited during lunch it wasn’t busy at all and it took 15 minutes to finally find someone to get us drinks. My girlfriend ordered soup and salad and I just ordered fish and soup. Waited 40 minutes for soup and salads. And never received my plate because waitress never put it in my order. Inevitably you will leave hungry from here.

Went to eat here because I liked my local Carinos that is, until they shut it down… Visited this location and there was a little bit of a wait for a table even though the dining room was empty? Food was a bit slow getting out, tables were not bused in timley manner so lots of empty messy tables. Okay I can overlook ALL that for some good eatin. nope, didn’t happen. service and food was subpar and really disappointing. I think I am now ruined on Carinos

Ordered the salmon. 15 $ for a tiny piece of fish and cold potatoes, swimming in butter. The bread before the meal was rock hard, as if it had been cooked days prior and left out. I have never been impressed with this location. Spend your money elsewhere

Horrible food. I ordered Fettuccine Alfredo that came to me with a watered down version of Alfredo sauce. I sent it back and they supposedly made more but I was still unable to eat it. My daughter had bow tie noodles that were hard. I’ve eaten at this restaurant in other cities and it was good. This restaurant is not good at all!’

It started off badly when we had to wait way too long for someone to seat us. We finally were seated, got out of our coats then put them back on. It was so cold! We asked our server about it but he never did follow up. They messed up our order… not just one thing but several items and they overcharged us. so check your bill. Worst Carinos I have ever been to. The wait staff and management were horrible.

They were able to accommodate our large party of 12 and the service was good. The waitress was on point for most of the service. Drinks, appetizers and entrees came out in a good amount of time. One of our group had ordered a salad that didn’t come out and another had an entrée that took longer due to a kitchen error. But overall, it was a good experience and the food was decent.

I do not expect great service /​food from chain restaurants in Odessa/​Midland. They have too high of an employment demand to have quality food workers. But this place is one of the lower end. I will never eat the food here again, the lemons in our ice water had mold on them, and the service all around was horrid. Every time i’ve eaten at this location i’ve gotten sick afterwords. However, on wednesday they have half price bottles of wines. We have been there plenty of time to enjoy wine.

I’ve eaten at Carino’s many times. It’s one place in Odessa where I know at least I won’t be completely disgusted when I’m done. However there is nothing in their menu that I find mind blowing. I usually have this angel hair pasta that has capers and I forget what else. Now, the bread, that’s pretty darned good. And has the added benefit of being served with oil containing chunks of roasted garlic. I could probably make a dinner out of the bread alone.
Most every time I have gone it has been with several members of my husband’s family. We can get challenging when together and yet the wait staff has been nothing but nice every time. So a shout out to them. Kudos to Carino’s for having a well trained staff and good bread. Now get something yummy on the menu and we’ll be best friends next time I visit.
