Yes, it’s older, so is your mom. It’s clean, has a nice smoke friendly bar, and a good restaurant. It has the best beds in Odessa and you don’t run the risk of being woke up at 0900 by housekeeping. I stay at any IHG hotel domestically or internationally unless I’m in this area. This place makes the horrible place called Odessa worthwhile for me.

Checked in for one night while visiting family in Odessa. Hotel was nice and clean, but décor was a little dated. Room was pleasant and beds were comfortable. Good TV and hot water with good water pressure(I travel a lot and notice this is an issue at a lot of hotels). Overall, I was satisfied and would stay here again.

I stay at this hotel occasionally for work and it’s consistently a nice stay. The hotel is a bit dated, but it is well maintained and always clean. The restaurant and bar staff are always very friendly and the food is good. The beds in the room are very comfortable and the bathrooms have good water pressure.

I stay here two to three times a year and have noticed a decline in the hotel restaurant. Most recent stay was less than impressive. It was a Saturday so they had the buffet open. I ordered an omelette made to order. However after ordering I noticed the cook was talking with friends in line. When I got my omelette it was not right, cheese was left off. Now the line was really long so I did not want to re order or try to cut in line to get it corrected. The cook was distracted and messed up. Next there was really only one server for a crowded dining room. My coffee and water were empty through most of the meal. She got to it at the end, at least she tried. Again, she was overwhelmed so this more against management for understaffing on a Saturday. Next when I got my bill it was wrong. She said she would correct it. She was gone a while, then came back with the same ticket, uncorrected. I decided it wasn’t worth waiting around for the $ 3 correction. I paid it and left so I could get on with my day. Cold buffet was just standard melons and strawberries. The hot side was mostly Mexican food items. The omelette would have been better had it been prepared as ordered. Overall, I’ll probably skip meals here on future visits.

For me picking a hotel is a major deal. I don’t need anything grand or over contemporary but I do expect friendly staff, a clean room, and a rate that doesn’t make me sad. There are so many hotel options in Midland and Odessa it’s just a little overwhelming. After literally spending a month web stalking different locations and actually making and canceling reservations at two different hotels I decided my single night would be spent at the MCM Elegante Odessa. The total cost for a king size room for 1 night ran me $ 133.39. This is pretty average cost for the area but what sets the MCM Elegante Odessa apart from a large number of the other hotels, is that the MCM offers free shuttle service from the airport to the hotel. This free shuttle perk saved me a $ 50.00 cab ride and gave me piece of mind that I’d have someone waiting for me when my plane landed at 9:00PM. The shuttle driver was a little hard for me to understand but very sweet and I wasn’t freaked out riding with him, which has been known to happen. I was checked in at the hotel by the night manager who was fast and friendly. I got a kick out of the«oasis» décor and I thought the water feature in the lobby relaxing. I honestly wouldn’t mind working there at night to sit in the soft lighting and listen to sounds of the tanks. I wonder if they’re hiring… My room was very large. My bed was HUGE with this amazing head board. The bedding was a white haven of comfy goodness and I didn’t even feel like pulling out my black light for inspection. There was a mini refrigerator and microwave… both CLEAN inside. The bathroom was for sure run down and in need of some updating but the tub was large and when my man arrived in the morning and took a shower, the shower faucet was tall enough to accommodate his 6’4 height and the hot water stayed hot with«perfect» water pressure. Oh and you know how most hotels just offer like 7TV channels and then a crap ton of channels you have to pay for? Well this place has TONS of TV channel options. I seriously felt like I was at home and was happy that I didn’t have to miss my Bob’s Burger, Cleveland Show, Family Guy nightly lineup.

So. The cook didn’t want to cook. Yeah we went in last minute but even still we were in before 10. Couple hungry guys working all day just wanted a fresh hot meal. Guess not.

Not worth the 300 $ a night. We had no choice but to stay here for the fact all other hotels in the area are full. They act like its a high class hotel, but the rooms are horrible and not maintained well. I understand at one time this was a grand hotel, but with the second rate, back yard maintenance over the years. This place is now a dump. I would say it’s worth 90 $ to 140 $ a night MAX. Stay clear! If they dropped the price, might be worth it.

Not as fancy as it sounds. The room sizes are nice but it looks very old on the inside. Their gym is tiny, only contains one elliptical, one treadmill, and a few weights. Breakfast is not included. The only good thing about this hotel is it’s location and the amount of parking spaces. There is plenty of good food around, and a Walmart.

The outdated décor I could deal with. The ridiculous statue of the Ten Commandments at the entrance didn’t faze me. But when you walk into your room and it smells like a wet dog that rolled in fresh road kill, that’s not ok. Instead of giving me another room they sent up a maintenance guy who agreed with me about the stink and sprayed it with air freshener. So now the room smells like a wet dog who rolled in a dead squirrel who was holding a bouquet of flowers when he died. Avoid this place.

The internet is SOOOO slow… So I decided to go down to the gym where only one of the four machines in the room was built in the last two decades. Came back up. Internet still slow. Like dial up slow.

The Drury in is WAY better than this«Elegante», this place is in the middle of nowhere, when i asked is there anything around to eat, the van driver told me «there’s a 7 – 11 next door». There is a giant 10 commandments right at the entrance, i come to the hotel is to sleep, not to be reminded of some other religious believes that i don’t give a shit. The hall way is reek the smell of rotten egg, i’m so glad i will never come back to this place ever!

The only reason we are at this hotel is because my husband’s company is paying for the stay here while we transition into a home(we moved from California). From what I understand, this place is pretty pricey, and given a choice, I would definitely stay somewhere else. I’m actually sitting in the hotel room writing this. First off, the website says that this is a 4-star hotel — NOT. maybe a decade ago, but not today. There are Quality Inn’s that are nicer than this. Yes, given the lobby area is very nice, the Comfort Suites that we stayed in yesterday night has much bigger and more spacious rooms, and a much larger bathroom. I will admit, the furniture in here is nice… teak-looking desk, and a very comfy lazy-boy chair. There are two main reasons I will state here as to why this place is off my list if ever I need a hotel to stay in again — 1) THEACHAD A SHORT-CIRCUITANDSPARKSWEREFLYING! Yes, I was putting my daughter to sleep when I heard strange noises coming from the AC. I looked over and to my horror, saw sparks coming from under the AC. I went over to check it out and the wires that were hanging out from under it was sparking. I very, very cautiously reached over to shut the God-forsaken thing off before my room caught on fire. Can you imagine if I WASN’T putting my daughter to sleep? What if I was in the bathroom or something and my 16 month old daughter went over there, curious about the sparks, and touched it?! Very, very appalled by this. I am now sitting in my room, it’s about 80+ degrees outside with the AC off. I’m waiting for my daughter to wake up to call the front desk… which brings me to my 2nd reason. 2) NOPETSALLOWED! When I call the front-desk to come fix the AC, I’m going to have to put my quiet, little, 3 month old shih-tzu in the car so nobody sees her. Pets are not allowed at this hotel. We had to speak with a manager about letting her in because we are staying here for 5 weeks, no way in hell I’m making my dog sleep in the car for that long… that’s near inhumane. So she said as long as nobody complained it should be fine, but under the condition that we were NOT to let here be seen by anybody on the property. Basically, we have to sneak her in and out to go potty, and if anyone made any statements recognizing that we had a dog on the premises, she would have to be «removed.» Seriously? REMOVED? We offered a deposit for having a pet, but they refused. I understand if it were a large animal, or a noisy one… but my dog barely makes a sound. I’m an animal person, so I personally feel that hotels should be more accommodating towards pets… especially if your guest will be staying for an entire month. There are other little things that bother me too, like how the ventilation fan in the bathroom doesn’t work, or how thin the walls are. For the price people pay, and for the way they advertise themselves, this place is ridiculous. Like I said, if it wasn’t for the fact that this is a free stay, I would be out of here in a heartbeat.

The friday night pasta bar is excellent. I really loved it. It is cooked to order, and all you can eat with your choice of many sauces, pasta, meats, veggies, and spices. It is VERY pricey for what it is though. I won’t be going back, just because of the price.

Don’t stay here. Among the many things that went wrong during my stay, the worst was the intrusion into my room by hotel staff. Upon checking in, I noticed my room had not been cleaned. I notified the hotel and asked for clean sheets, towels, and vacuum service at a minimum. I left the room for an hour or so for this to be accomplished. When I returned, lights in the room were on that I’d turned off including the bathroom light and fan… and someone left a disgusting surprise for me in the bathroom. Other issues were internet service, customer service and the«spa» downstairs, which were all of poor quality.

Have you ever dreamed of going to your 10 year reunion about 4 years early? or Have you ever wondered what flight attendants for Southwest do in their downtime? If you answered yes to either one of these questions… You would love the Oasis. I can’t really fathom being the first person to review this place… Nightlife in Odessa represent. The atmosphere of this joint keeps it at an ok rating. The bartenders are always amazing. The drinks are great and cheap. There’s almost always karaōke… or maybe there always is? I can’t really tell but, everytime I’ve gone there has been… Anyways, it’s alright. There’s pool. So, yeah, it’s alright. When you live in Odessa it’s sort of a «Well, where ELSE are we going to go???» happening, so… yeeah.
