Great ice cream, custard, and frozen yogurt! I love that they have so much to choose from. Soft serve, hard scoop, custard, fro-yo, and lots of toppings and cones. I enjoy the wild huckleberry, since I can’t get ice cream like it anywhere else. I highly recommend it for ice cream in Ogden!

Love, love, LOVE Farr’s Fresh! And Dexter’s Dogs is a smart and great addition too. They have several varieties of ice cream, custard, & frozen yogurt to choose from. My absolute favorites are the Dole Pineapple, Cake Batter, Peeps, and several others! My friend loves the texture in the Coconut. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any flavor. I also love how you can pick and choose your toppings. There’s so much variety and they are all great choices! And like their name suggests, it’s all fresh! The Hot Dogs at Dexter’s are delicious. There are several combinations to choose from. I give this place an A++. Drop by for a snack, dessert, lunch, dinner… Actually, anytime is a great time to drop by! :)

I stopped in on a lunch rush and picked up an absolutely fantastic all beef hot dog. I chose the SouthWestern option which came with pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayo, jalapenos, all on a buttered and grilled bun. This is one of the most fantastic hotdogs that I have ever had the pleasure of having. Now… this place is known for ice cream! Next time I am in I will have to check that out.

Why do I keep ending up at these pay-by-the-ounce places? I guess it’s the convenience factor, and I’ll give them that. Drop in, eat your snacky, get out. But today was a classic example in why I don’t love them. We dropped in just before dinnner(because why not start with dessert first?) and were pleased to see that they have a non-dairy option – a raspberry and a pineapple dole whip. That’s big, as one in the group is dair-free/lactose intolerant/milky-no-no. Kudos for that. After filling up a couple of the smallest cups no more than halfway for the kiddos, and after filling two of them for grownups below the rim, we still have to almost $ 12 – and that was on Monday, which is a buy three, get one free. Yes, they have dole whip, ice cream, custard and frozen yogurt. But even with the toppings and tables and all that the place comes with, I can’t feel good about that. It filled a spot in our afternoon and in our bellies, but it emptied a spot in the wallet.

Kinda disappointed. Everyone I had talked to had raved about Farr’s Fresh. It was just a typical frozen yogurt place to me. I was kinda disappointed on the number of toppings too. Not somewhere that I feel like I will be going back to often.

Seems to be a more complicated way to do ice cream. They have a few flavors of soft serve, and lots of different toppings and«mix-ins» you pay by the weight so, in essence, you pay more to be fatter. The price is a little steep for what you get, plus you do all the work, so shouldn’t it be less?

It’s ice cream. GOOD ice cream, but just ice cream. The toppings bar is worth the trip and there seems to be an endless supply of yummy things to ladle on the soft serve. The only real downfall is the price. You’re going to want to hit the ATM on the way as the place is going to set you back several dollars for a sall bowl. The help is very friendly and should be as they really are getting a premium price for a good product.
