Hearth on 25th is absolutely delicious! The charcuterie plate with meats and local made cheeses and honey was out of this world! The house made ravioli with duck breast was the best duck I’ve ever had-not to mention the ravioli filled with cheeses and cherries! This may be the best dish I’ve ever eaten. Also the blood orange and dark chocolate vinegar and olive oil served with the bread was just fantastic! Will be recommending and returning to Hearth on 25th! We live in Alabama and accidentally discovered this place, and are blown away! We highly recommend…

I have tried this place 3 times now– way over priced, terrible service and the food is just not good. Avoid this place if you can or you will leave with disappointment. The last time we went we didn’t even get half the food we ordered(our apps and desert) and ended up going somewhere else after for dinner! So moral of the story only go here if you want to end up going somewhere after for real food.

I was looking for a nice place to go out with some coworkers, and this location was very convenient. It’s on the second floor of a building on 25th street, so the location is great, but the service/food could have been better. In general the meal took longer than it should have. We ordered drinks, ordered appetizers, received our appetizers, and ate our appetizers, all before receiving our drink order. They could have easily sold us 2 – 3 more rounds of drinks if they were faster. My first cocktail was not good(Stone Cold Killer), so I switched to wine which was good. I ordered a salmon which was average. Overall no one was incredibly impressed and we continued our search for a great place to have business dinners.

This is one of the most interesting dining experiences I have had in a while. There were a lot of interesting combinations of flavors which is refreshing. Fried curry risotto balls(a special that night) were great, and possibly one of my favorite things. Patio Thyme was a good cocktail. I like maple syrup, but not usually in cocktails. In this case it worked. The blood orange olive oil and chocolate balsamic with bread were impressive, but I didn’t really like them. They tasted very strongly of orange, and chocolate, but my preference would be for strong flavors of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I could see that olive oil being a tasty topping for other things. The stuffed pork chop was good, but didn’t really blow me away. I liked the vegetables it came with a lot. The gratin would super oily, but tasty. Overall this place is great for having an interesting meal, which is very hard to find.

Another charming surprise in historic Ogden? House-made just about everything. You betcha. We stumbled in as curious and hungry just-lunching-through tourists… the kind everyone looks at and says, «So, what did you expect? It’s been here ten years. Didn’t you see the awards on the wall?» Indeed. And all from a wood-fired hearth. The house-made barrata was enough for 4-to-6 people. Light, semi-firm, fresh mozarrella was filled with lighter mix of cheese and herbs that dulled the sharp edge of sun-dried tomatoes yet complementing the sweetness of accompanying dried figs. Tomato bisque holds the menu space for soups. It deserves the honor. Finally! A place that remembers what a bisque is supposed to be! We tried the soup-of-the-day a Louisiana-styled tomato gumbo which was also a winner. The French Dip sandwich was unique with hearth-made flatbread-wrapped beef and cheese. Truffled fries with truffeled black salt were great, but it was too much to handle on top of the buratta. Light chocolate cheesecake and French-pressed coffee was a perfect ending for all of the other goodies we were too full to finish.

Okay, so I promised Dave I would up my review to 5 stars if I got my chili lime frites. He came through. Great staff here at the Hearth. I’ve only had my food to go, but it’s been great both times. Can’t recommend the autumn hearth burger strong enough! Some day, though, I shall be bold enough for the yak. Oh, and where else can get aged vinaigrette in something like 30 flavors? Thank you Hearth people! (And how do I keep forgetting to use the deal on Unilocal?Stupid me.)

My wife and I really enjoyed the atmosphere here, the server was very friendly and answered all of our questions. He knew the menu top to bottom. The salmon I ordered was a generous portion and the quality was excellent. I think the seasoning was a little light, but that may just be personal opinion. We’ll be back!

Hearth is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Northern Utah, not just Ogden. They have fresh seasonal entrees, great appetizers and drinks, and it’s one of the classier joints in town. Great creative chef, friendly waitstaff, and an upscale atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Absolutely great! Was coming through Ogden and stopped here because it had good reviews. Hands down well worth it. Atmosphere, selection, variety, service, taste!

At first glance, this is exactly the kind of restaurant I like. It looks nice, the staff is professional, the menu items are unique and sound delicious, but unfortunately they just aren’t executed well. I have no problem dropping some coin on a fantastic meal, but the food here just isn’t good. I had the curry masala carbonara, it was served lukewarm and relied way too heavily on the creamy sauce, I couldn’t detect any of the flavors that were promised in the description. The man had the spicy shrimp pizza, which was at least edible but came with small breaded shrimp, not the lovely grilled shrimp one would expect from a higher end restaurant. We had the unfortunate experience of eating here when it was Jasoh, at least this time the meal didn’t end in dry heaves. Given the huge disconnect between price and quality, I will not be giving them another chance.

I love the Balsamic Vinegar bar. Used to love the bar side of the restaurant, but not it’s trying too hard to be a fancy place. While the food is excellent, it’s lost it’s vibe. Food is too expensive and portion sizes are way too small.

Amazing. I was passing through town and this place caught my eye. Although I didn’t get something from the hearth, the clam chowder and short ribs I did order were surprisingly well prepared. I’m sad I don’t live closer. I’ll definitely make it a point to come again though. Also, the service was top notch. The hostess and I chatted for a couple of minutes and that was welcoming right off the bat. My server was on point and never delayed in his friendly and professional service. This place is a definite winner

My Husband and I went in for a random date night. This was both of our first time at this restaurant. My first impression was how friendly the staff were and how the atmosphere is really nice. Our server was Chris, who was well educated on the food and ingredients. The menu felt a little over priced, but made sense since everything(even down to the brand of soda) is local, and freshly made that day. Everything tasted quality. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to try something unique and great tasting.

We started out with charcuterie, I have never had it before, it was the best cheese and the different meats were amazing! We both had the ‘slow food’ stroganoff it was the best beef I have ever tasted!

To start, we were drawn to this location after calling the hostess about a specific pregnancy craving(grilled zucchini). She confirmed that this was available and we were on our way. Although, it is listed as «casual», I would consider it «dress casual». I felt underdressed in cargo shorts, a T-shirt, and flip-flops; however, they were very accommodating of our attire and our 2 yr old. Our waiter, Chris, was exceptional. He made confident recommendations and knew the menu verbatim. He was an attentive, professional. Our food was impeccable. Calamari, pear & goat cheese salad, grilled oysters, elk & waffles, merlot duck & cherry raviolo, and the most tender beef shoulder I’ve ever seen in a «kid’s meal». An amazing experience from start to finish…

This is hands down the best place I’ve found to eat in Ogden since we relocated from the San Francisco Bay area. My wife and I stopped by for an early dinner and were surprised to see the chef bring out our appetizers. We chatted for a several minutes and he answered a few questions I had on the menu. I ended up ordering the quail and my wife ordered the duck. The chef’s eyes lit up when we ordered our dishes medium rare. This led to a bit of a discussion around the differences between what we were used to in California and what we have found in Utah so far.(Lets just say that huge portions of overcooked chain/mass market food isn’t what we are looking for.) My wife and I will definitely be back. Price: Right on target given the style of food. Portion sizes: A little too big.(But it is Utah and that is what people expect)

Really classy place. Our waiter Dave was amazing! I don’t think I’ve ever had such a fantastic waiter. The food was good, parking was rough but they do have parking around back. We didn’t notice until we were seated and looked out the window. Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful dining experience at Hearth on 25th tonight. We had an amazing view and our server, Christopher, was extremely knowledgeable, confident and proud of their menu. We again had the charcuterie and I would order this consistently. There was a lovely blueberry balsamic, local honey, Beehive cheeses Big Johns cajun and Teahive, creamy blue, wild boar salami, piccante salami, something I think called felino salami, and my favorite Calabrese pepperoni. There was cashew butter and a plum purée, herb evoo and fig gastrique($ 18). The only really far reaching suggestion I have is that if I were serving this at home, I would include fresh apple slices and maybe some red grapes. I think I also would prefer my house made sourdough lightly toasted. Next we had a lovely hot curry soup($ 4). A pear, chevre, pistachio salad($ 7) and finally the Pig and Fig hearth bread with all its glorious gruyère, prosciutto, onions, dried figs, drizzle of balsamic and sprinkle of rosemary. Grasping at straws, reconstituting the figs and a sprinkle of arugula might be nice. I washed this down with a delicious dirty vodka martini. Someday I will actually venture past the small plates to the entrees. This time around, I found most of the items on Hearth’s menu to be inspired. It appears they have made some tweaks and no doubt everything is artful and thoughtful and amazingly scrumptious. I look forward to trying the Wild Mushroom Raviolo, Utah Berkshire Pork 2 ways, Espresso Elk and Waffles, and what sounds like the best cheeseburger one could ever have. I think I read on their blog about some of the vendors they source from including a 100% women owned lamb and veal farm. There’s also an entry about the healthful benefits of yak meat. So Hearth on 25th has taken its throne as my favorite restaurant in Ogden.

I haven’t been here since the name change. The menu is a little different and the food is still the same quality as before. You will spend a lot but you will also get the best service. I liked it a lot. They still have all sorts of olive oil and vinegar you can buy to take home. The décor is great inside and all the staff I interacted with were very friendly. We started of with a pear salad for my wife and I ordered the tomato soup bisque. The salad had the best ingredients but I didn’t like the dressing as much. I’m not taking a star away just for that. My wife liked it a lot. The soup was really good. It was thicker than others I’ve tried but it was good nonetheless. For my main dish I ordered the bacon wrapped beef tender with a balsamic reduction on top of potatoes with sine veggies in the side. I requested it be medium well. They hit it spot on! I don’t like my dish swimming in blood and this was perfect. It had a warm pink inside, the best flavor, and was really moist. My wife ordered the fish and chips and she loved that as well. The chips were homemade potato chips rather than fries, which you normally see. Overall a great experience. Leave the kids at home and enjoy a nice night with your significant other, they will thank you.
