5 stars for the food. 1 star for service. We have never had a waitress or waiter here that wasn’t entirely incompetent. Last time we were there we could see our waitress playing on her phone just barely inside the kitchen. We were out of water for the majority of the meal. It is shame that they can’t have better service, with how good the menu and the food is.

There wasn’t anything really special about our meal. The only reason I’m leaving a review is because the women’s bathroom doesn’t have a baby changing table.

Food was ok and service was friendly enough, just really slow. It took forever to get our check even though the restaurant was on the slow side. I ordered the chicken salad and fruit plate from the ‘light’ menu but it was huge. Other than the brown apple slices the fruit was good. Olives covered the chicken salad, which is something that should be on the menu, but fortunately they didn’t ruin the dish.

So this was our first coming here and our little boy is obsessed with trains and we decided it would be a fun expedience. Well little did i know my food was going to be awful. I ordered the parm chicken Alfredo and it was awful. It was cold, the sauce was so watery and none of it had any flavor at all… Yes my waiter did bring me a new dish but by the time it came to me my family was done eating so i just took it to go… And i still had to pay my full price ticket. I don’t know if we’ll be going back…

Every time I go to Union Grill I am impressed by the things that I order. One of my favorites is to get the Myzithra pasta with a side of Alfredo sauce. I also love the Santa Fe sandwich. My husband loves the gumbo and my good friend always gets the Carbonara. My favorite desserts are the mud pie and the bread pudding. They are to die for! I also like it because I’m on the birthday list and so I get a free entrée every year. I highly recommend checking out this cute restaurant inside Union Station.

For starters, I’ve only been here once, for lunch, and had a generally positive experience. I know people who swear by this place, but I got the sandwich they suggested and even though it was good, it wasn’t as amazing as indicated. The sandwich was decent, the fries were okay. Even at lunch I ended up dropping about $ 10 for what I thought was a $ 5 or $ 6-caliber meal. Being a bit on the thrifty side with my restaurant excursions, I’m not super eager to go back, but if a friend wanted to go I’d be fine to join in. One notable complaint I have is the lack of bread choices. I’m not a wheat bread guy, and the only other option was a specialty bread that was extremely salty.

I can’t believe the ratings are this high. You will be happy looking around the area for better quality, better plating, and better value. Even with a 25% Entertainment Book discount it was over priced based on the above.

Visited the train museum so we stopped into the grill for dinner. Was really pleasantly surprised. Everything we ordered was really good. Steak medallions were cooked perfectly and the demiglaze sauce was fantastic. Kids hamburger was huge and tasty. The steamed veggie plate with grilled chicken was also really good. Also priced really fairly. Will be back.

Ben was our server, very aware of our presence and excellent service. The food– excellent flavors. house made creamy Italian dressing was a perfect consistency of spices and vinegar. French onion soup served hot, flavors were rich and filling. Cheese burger, and fries. Tasty and juicy. Strip steak, cooked medium, perfect, and bistro onions were a delectable addition. Meat loaf dinner, generous portions, delicious squash with a nice addition of fresh Parmesan cheese. Creamy mashed potatoes. Everyone satisfied and will be a new favorite place.

Amazing food and great service. If you want to eat healthy, the steamed veggie plate is awesome. I got the salmon and substituted steamed veggies for the potatoes(remember to ask for no cheese on the veggies).

The service was very friendly. It’s just that 1996 called and they want their menu returned.

A favorite of mine. The best French Onion soup around. Their fresh tomato and mozzarella salad was perfect. The atmosphere is wonderful. The old train station converted into the restaurant is great.

Union Grill offers a consistent 4-star experience. I am always in the lunch crowd here and, for some reason, never make it to dinner. A few things to try: The French Onion Soup. Some of the best around and Top Notch in the 844 area codes. You will find yourself picking cheese off the side of the bowl because you love it so much. The Pasta Salads. Wide variety and very tasty. The only thing that could make them better is if the pasta were made of bacon. Use this as your side dish. The lettuce side-salads are a «meh» and make you want to poach off your neighbor’s plate. The Focaccia bread. It comes free with your meal but you have to ask for it. You will impress your partner and friends by ordering like a regular. For those who cannot pronounce it, just say«tasty bread» and they will know what you mean. The specials. They have different ones daily and they usually rule. Cajun prime rib is probably my favorite and paired with the FO soup and a pasta salad, I feel sinful. When you come here, give yourself some extra time. You will want to walk around the Union Station and meet some cool people that know a LOT about the museums and history housed here. The setting is fantastic and you could spend hours going through the place. Local Tip: Parking stinks in the lot in front of Union Grill. Small lot that is usually full. Go to the north parking lot in front of Union Station and walk through. You will be glad that you did for a.) parking reasons and b.) a preview of the coolness that IS Union Station.

This is a wonderful restaurant, owned by the same people who own rooster’s right down the street. The food is always great. I recommend the chicken carbonara or the mizithra cheese pasta. Another great menu item is the chicken salad sandwich. If you’re wanting dessert, make sure to get the bread pudding, it’s always great. Would recommend, always have a great experience here with friendly service.
