This is the kind of place where you take kids to fill them up. The food here is safe, bland, boring, uninspired, institutionalized and if you’re foolish enough to stray from the pizza, somewhat insipid. So what’s the one thing, other than the extremes with crust, whereby pizzas live and die? If you said toppings, take yourself out back and knock yourself around until you have some sense slapped into you. It’s the sauce. Toppings obviously help, as does at least a decent crust, but if you ruin the sauce(oh HAI, Red Robin), you wreck the pizza. Here the sauce is pretty pedestrian and the toppings are nothing special, so you wind up with a very average pizza, with nothing either particularly bad or good about it. As I said, it’s a safe choice; you could do better but could also do much worse, particularly in Ogden, which is still catching up, food-wise, as a city, recent strides notwithstanding. The homey Americana kitsch inside is a bit puzzling, but kind of comforting, I suppose and it was nice to see Diet Mt. Dew on tap. Let’s just be generous and call it an option, but be wary of straying from the pizzas… word to the wise.

Ted Ligori is awesome. He makes this place as incredible as everyone says it is. I love their food and service. Always top notch

Eating here was… ugh…bearable. My husband is from this area and raved about this place, I figured after a 2 year stint in New Jersey he would have a decent barometer for good Italian food but I guess you have to put 20 years in like I did. The ambiance, to start, was akin to that of a hospital cafeteria. Probably a good place to go if you somehow find yourself responsible for feeding a large heard of untamed elementary schoolers! The menu was slim to say the least. My guess is that on the slight chance whoever wrote it has ever actually been to an Italian restaurant they didn’t study the menu too hard. They didn’t even have chicken parm on the menu! Can you even pretend to be an Italian restaurant without chicken parm?! I got arguably the most Italian item on the menu, the meatball sub(nothing else sounded the least bit enticing). I got it with out mayo, can I mention that every sandwich comes with mayo on it… yup, every Italian person to ever live just rolled over in their graves. The sub was decent, not enough to eat the leftovers, but it’s not like you can mess up making the easiest thing in the world to prepare… unless of course you burn the roll… oh yeah, that happened! I will say I’m still glad I got the meatball sub, because the other 2 people I was with ordered pasta dishes, and they didn’t look very appealing. In my opinion if you’ve ever had anything that remotely resembles Italian food you probably won’t enjoy eating here but if not, then hey, this might be your new fave place. As for me it looks like Olive Garden is where I’ll be until my next trip back east.

They have really good home style pizza and spaghetti here. The best part though quite frankly is their salads. This was my grandpas Favorite restaurant. It is good but if you can go to Tony’s pizza. It is even better and the same price with a better atmosphere. You also get dessert for free at Tony’s if you order a combo.

Everyone who grew up around this place absolutely loves it. I however feel gross when i’m inside, and I think the vast majority of their food was purchased at the grocery store down the street and was prepared in no special way aside from the directions on the package. Their salad is outstanding, and everything else just kinda… exists.

This is my fathers favorite pizza! Good food and a great place for families or large groups. Affordable menu and tasty food. Favorites include house Italian salad dressing, meatball sandwich and pepperoni mushroom pizza.

Ordered out for Valentine’s day… We ordered the taste of Italy items. Sauce for the pasta is nothing to scream at. Meatballs in the Spaghetti tasted like the meatballs from Costco. Lasagna was just stacked pasta noodles and only meat on the bottom layer. Ravioli was ok. Pizza wasn’t too bad, but nothing to get all excited over. We ordered the pepperoni. We had two side salads that consisted of nothing but lettuce. no other toppings. just lettuce and salad dressing. That is not even a freaking salad. That is just lettuce. Sad. I can honestly say, that I will not eat here and If i am asked if i like the place, I will heartily say«no,» stay away from this joint. Why it is getting rave reviews is beyond me.

I was pleasantly surprised by this joint. Quite delicious lunch specials and pizza. The crust wasn’t to crunchy, but was just enough. The pasta my coworkers ordered didn’t seem very authentic, so I’d venture to say pizza is the only thing you should get here save your common side salad. I highly recommend it for a family pizza night out. Reminds me a bit of pizza parties I had as a kid at Round Table Pizza in California.

I love Ligori’s. When I’m craving pizza, it’s Ligori’s I want. I was born and raised in Ogden and Ligori’s is what I grew up eating, so there you go. I’m a little biased, sure. But there’s just something about that fluffy, doughy crust and delicious cheese combination and mild but tasty sauce that is out of this world. As a kid, I loved their spaghetti with all my tiny heart. As an adult, I think it’s kind of gross. Their marina sauce is a little weird. It has an odd spice combination or something. Their meatballs make up for it though — holy yum, Batman! They get your food out to you pretty fast unless it’s a crazy busy day. Prices are exceptional — comparable to major pizza chains where you’re paying for grease with a bit of bread under it. The décor in the new location is kind of weird and lame, I’m not going to lie. They could use some serious help in the interior decorating department. The old location had some awesome murals of Italy on the walls, so maybe they are just waiting to find a painter or designer to make new Ligori’s as kitchsy and cool as the old one. My grandma has been a Ligori’s fan since the day it opened. My 4 year old son asks for Ligori’s pizza over any other. As for me, I will be a faithful Ligori’s fan until the day I die. It’s probably a good thing I live an hour away, otherwise I’d be snarfing their pizza at least twice a week.

Haven’t had anything but the meatball sub. They put a good little twist on it.

While their pizza and pasta may leave something lacking — their pastrami sandwich can’t be beat. This is a must have that I got back for time and again. All of their sandwiches are pretty good but the pastrami is the best — give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Ligori’s pasta marinara sauce tastes like heavy, over-seasoned American pizza sauce. And their pizzas are nothing to make the trip for. So that tells you where the pasta lands as well. I’ve met quite a few persons, actually, who love this Ogden pizza and pasta establishment. Let’s just say, I’d never eat dinner at those persons’ homes.
