I used to love the pie, but lately I feel the quality has slipped. The new location is nice, but they still seem to always be slow with service and twice now I’ve gotten sick, food poison sick.

Best part was the pull-apart cheese bread, but it didn’t help make up for the average pizza and mediocre service, which was extra disappointing since there were only 3 other groups of customers so they weren’t busy.

I ordered my than I could bite off, let alone chew. This was my first time to the Pie and I irresponsibly split a 23″ pizza between 4 people. There was more pizza than any of us could handle but hey, 3 more meals at least with the left overs. The pizza was pretty good a little pricey but it was nice to be able build your own pizza. I found it awesome that the bacon wasn’t crumbled. The strips were merely cut in half and laid down in a bed of cheese and sausage chunks. I’m giving it 4 stars because the only thing that made me go «wow» was the size of the pizza. Pros: Super cool ambient full of fun art and walls your welcome to write on. Pretty good pizza. Customizable options Cons: A bit pricey. Fairly crowded. Staff wasn’t super professional nor rude, somewhere in between.

By far the best pizza in UT! Love the new location and the staff is amazing. Only pizza place in the Ogden area that offers vegan pizza with many vegan toppings including the cheese!!! The vegan cheese pull a parts oh my… DELICIOUS! This place is killin it.

For pizza in Utah, The Pie is one of a very few to go to. I’m from the NYC area where good pizza is a given. Not so in Utah. It took me 4 years to find this place and i’m happy to finally get some good pizza. Now you guys need to sell slices all the time not just certain hours. Why is it so hard to get slices in Utah?

Pizza is pretty good, but very slow service and kinda pricey for a pizza. Place is fun — very relaxed environment. Would give four starts but workers are pretty unprofessional sometimes. Worth a try. Near the university.

I came here for my dads 50th birthday. I had never been here so I was eager to try. It’s set up a little bit different. You walk in and order then try and find a seat. It was the middle of the winter when we came so I was skeptical to sit on their patio. We decided to give it a try seeing that they had to big fireplaces and heaters. For the most part it stayed warm. They shut off the heaters at one point and it got freezing. A random guy went and turns a knob and heat came blazing out. The pizza was actually really good! It was huge as we ordered one for a huge party. It was really good with lots of toppings! The salad also was very fresh. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely come back!

The Pie has been our favorite pizza place since college. We just relocated to Ogden and were pleasantly surprised to find that the Ogden location is on par with the one in downtown SLC. This location is very nice and spacious. We enjoyed eating on the patio next to the fire. Their pizza is extremely hearty. We particularly like their buffalo chicken pizza.

I love the new location. It’s way more chill with more room to hang out. The patio is awesome. Whenever I’ve been here I’ve felt no pressure to hurry up and leave. The pie has great pizza when they do it right. My complaint is that this place is hit and miss. Sometimes the pizza is so damn good that I think I’ve died and gone to heaven. Then I’ll try it and it’s just mediocre. It’s the same thing with the wings. I love the spicy BBQ but would never order the spicy teriyaki again. And sometimes the wings are tasty and cooked to perfection and other times they’re soggy and gross. I can handle mediocre pizza, but when I’m paying $ 1+ per wing, I expect it to be good! The wings are $ 6.99 for six so a bit on the pricey side. Our pitcher of blue moon beer we ordered last time tasted watered down and flat. Bummer — but beers are cheap here so I’ll still order more next time. I like just about every single pie they offer but my favorite is probably chicken ranch or BBQ chicken! They’re tasty! Despite my above complaints, I still love the pies here. Way better than any pizza chain — no question about it.

My favorite place to get pizza now. The cheesy pull a parts are amazing, sometimes well go there just for those. We recently tried the gluten free bacon ranch pizza and it was surprisingly really good, we’ll probably order that for now on. I love the new location and the outside dining area, my favorite place to sit is by one of the fire pits. The service is awesome too.

There is something special about The Pie’s pizza that I have never found anywhere else, and it’s one of my all-time favorite pizza places. Last night, I had my first visit at the new location, and I was pleased to discover the pizza is just as great as I remember. The crust is thick and flavorful. The cheese ooey-gooey and thick, and they are the only place I’ve been that offers Cajun sausage as a topping – so good. Greasy, yes, but tasty and worth the possible coronary. They have good wings, bread sticks(called pull-aparts), and a decent salad. Neither are super exciting, but the pizza is so good, why waste the stomach space? The new venue is really awesome, too. Bigger, roomier, and much quieter than the last place. Yet, it retains the charm and comfort of the first Ogden site. The screened in porch with heaters and two fire pits is fantastic. I only wish I were there in a gorgeous Utah summer night. It was still comfy enough for our November party. The staff is great too. They are pleasant and helpful. We had a big party last night, and Tony too excellent care of us, making a special event even better because it was so easy. For a cozy small group or a big party, this is a great place to go.

I never seem to get tired of pizza, and the Pie Pizzeria is one of my favorites! The pizza is magnifico! I love the new location, and the décor is great! It’s very unique and you can tell this is a pizza joint in Utah! Most importantly, the food is delicious! Such a unique and diverse range of selections, toppings, and it is all so good! You do pay a premium over most pizza chains, but the quality is superior and there are always leftovers to have for another time! My only complaint is the pizza is pretty greasy and messy. But that’s also the beauty of it ;)

Their new location has a great atmosphere. You can choose to sit indoors or on their patio thing. Very spacious. Great place for groups, dates, or even group dates. The specialty pizzas are delicious! Some of their huge takeout pizzas are pretty greasy(some people like that) but they fill you up! Get yourself a chug of root beer and have yourself a pie pizzeria pizza today!

This place was awesome! The fire pits in the patio seating were awesome! If you sit on the west side of the patio you get a beautiful peak-a-boo view of the valley over smiths. Our wait time to get a pizza from the door was about 40 min Ina busy Saturday night(not too bad, especially because they have pitchers of beer that are reasonably priced that will make the time go by faster). My pizza was a «build your own» and came out exactly as ordered, friendly staff, no problems! I love the pie!

It’s amazing what a change of venue can do for a place. I’ve been a fan of the pie since the 80’s, eating in a dingy, dark basement in Salt Lake near the University. «Travis, your Zappi is ready» barely audible over the guy playing guitar and the loud college voices. The food was ever so wonderful and was duplicated when they opened the Ogden location. But what was missing was the ambiance. The Pie in Ogden was built in an old Godfather’s Pizza and it just couldn’t get that good feeling. Que the new location!!! Patio seating with outdoor firepits. Lots of big screens, open floor plan, and a vibe that reminds me of what an Indie pizza place should be. No corporate BS, no 15 pieces of flair, no «I’ve been in this place 100 times before all over the country.» They nailed it. A classic sketch of Belushi on the wall, the reference to the local skiing, and just an overall good feeling about a place. It matters, it really does. As for the food, it is still one of the best pizzas in Ogden. They’ve added a take out area to make it easier and have lots of menu options to make everyone in the party happy. Good beer and soda selection, and a choice of seating that just plain kicks ass. Tables for small parties, booths that will hold all of your friends, and a patio designed to enhance the mood while keeping the bugs out. Nice job Pie! Now lets go get that Zappi ready.

Who can not like the Pie?! This place is amazing. Awesome new location. Still the same delicious pizzas, salads, and of course the cheesie pull aparts. We love the Mountain of Meat with green olives. Mmmmm. For those wondering if this is really that good, I’ll stop you right there and tell you, no, it’s even better than that good. It’s AMAZING!!! Their culture is one of the highlights, friendly staff that you know enjoy their job. Management is always on top of things. If you need it they will provide. Enjoy!!!

My last review was for the spot behind the Chevron and I suppose this kind of arguably still is, but is now packed back a bit. New location is about 4X the size of the old place, but just as choice. Walls are currently mostly unmarred, so make it there and make your mark! There is a very nice patio that I also dove in on, but this is much more like your classical pizza joint than the sort of tiny charm and ambiance the old joint had, which itself was a bit tiny, but overall a pretty cool spot. This one could still use some help in the drinks department, but it is a lot more restauranty… it’s a solid upgrade in space and despite it being a lot different, it is the equal to the other place inside. Again, lovely kickass pizza, by far the hallmark of the place is in its consistent quality and that is again present here. A lot of the video games and other stuff from the old place are long gone, but many of the decorations made their way as well. Bathrooms here are spacious and immaculate. A wholesome change overall and if you haven’t yet been, I highly recommend it!

Went to the new location of the Ogden Pie. The seating indoors was nearly the same capacity as the old bldg, but there was an enclosed patio area with fire pit burning with a lot more space for larger groups. We arrived before the big lunch crowd so our food came out fast. We ordered two medium pizzas with toppings that we each liked. I always get mushroom pineapple and my husband gets sausage chicken. They use fresh mushrooms which is a plus. Canned mushrooms are my pet peeve. The pizza is always good here and we had a large takeout box with the leftovers. They gave us sharpees to write on the wall to carry on the tradition of the old place. We made sure to leave our mark. The disappointing thing we noticed was that they didn’t move the pinball machine to the new bldg. We always played when we ate there. Also, we noted the third level of the parking lot is the closest to the door, and will be sure to park there next time.

Best thin crust pizza west of NYC!!! By far the best pizza in Utah. No need to EVER ask for extra cheese, as they really heap it on. Their Italian sausage is SO good! And if you’re one of those California Pizza Kitchen types that prefers weird unamerican pies such as artichokes, beets and salamander tails covered with goat cheese on a gluten free crust… well, they have that as well!
