Food was average, a little pricey but it is in along the beach. It was $ 4.50 for a large handful of fries to give you a sense. The cashier did not give me the correct order and when i walked back up to correct it, she told me that she was correct and that I ordered the wrong item. This bothered me. Not horrible if you need a snack but be cautious of the service and the price of certain items.

This is a casual spot right off the beach featuring classic New England fare. Touristy? Yes. Should you expect differently? No. There’s decent variety and everything my group ordered was edible. Tasty tuna rolls that came with a bag of «lightly salted» chips. If this is light salt I don’t want to taste the regular version. The fries were reminiscent of the kind you buy at a carnival or on a boardwalk and really hit the spot. The least yummy items ordered were the clam chowder, which was a bit too watery, and the lobster roll, which was on the small side and just didn’t compare to the great lobster dinner we had the previous night. Overall, Charlie’s «Restaurant» is a pretty affordable, casually satisfying beachside stand to grab something Maine-y. Now eat your sandwich and go back to the beach!
