The food was ok but I would never go back after some bitch was being super rude. She was friends with someone who worked there or something. She apparently thought she was a gift to the fucking world. Left my family and I with a sour taste in our mouth. People running this establishment should also make sure their guests are respectful. Very disappointing to see such a poorly run establishment.

Where do I start? Delicious food and plenty of it, lobster rolls stuffed to bursting exclamation ! Nice deck in the back, nice people, and it won’t break the bank exclamation !

Stopped in for a bite to eat on the recommendation from a Maine native. The outdoor deck was in the back right on the water. There is a front patio too. I had a lobster roll which was lightly coated with mayonnaise. It was very good. The lobster was very fresh, tender and sweet. The clam chowder was delicious! The cream base was the perfect consistency. The flavor was one of the best I have ever tasted in a clam chowder. It was an enjoyable lunch.(Food and the location) definitely worth trying.

We stopped at Deli Chowder’s Café for lunch. It’s a cute little deli right on the water. You can eat inside, outside on the front patio, or outside by the water. It was pretty crowded, so we ate out front. They had a lot of options to choose from. It was hard picking what to eat because everything looked so good. I loved the idea of a «seafood» deli. I ordered Lobster salad over mixed greens. Their lobster salad was REALLY good! I’m not a huge fan of lobster and I still liked it. Their homemade balsamic was tasty too. My boyfriend ordered the lobster roll and clam chowder soup. It looked pretty good! The best Clam Chowder in Ogunquit is at Jackie’s Too, but the Deli’s wasn’t bad. I know that the Deli was really busy, but the service was kind of slow and not so friendly. They made up for it by having great tasting food and a nice environment. The items are very pricey. My little salad was $ 18.99.

Well the view is to die for — gorgeous view of the coast of Maine. This is a sandwich shop that does have a lobster roll/chowder combo that is reasonable priced and was tasty but not near the top of my best Lobster roll list in the area. Panini was also a good sandwich — more of a lunch spot.

Loved this little café — the Panini’s were huge and the service was great. Sitting right on the water was a plus also and their prices were a steal, especially for lunch in a costal town. I will go back for sure the next time I’m in town!

My favorite place to go when my family vacations in Ogunquit. Super relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. Food is always great and reasonably priced. Back deck adds a fantastic touch!

My wife and I have eaten their at least half dozen times with exceptional panni sandwich. Their clam chowder is excellent. Must try, you will not be disappointed.

The Lobster Shack was closed for a private party, so we decided to take a chance on this unassuming place with an outdoor deck. The clear star of this place is the oceanview deck on the beach out back. They need a bigger sign advertising this. It’s a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We went in early June and were the only people there, so we had the view of the beach and water all to ourselves. I think a view like that makes everything taste better. We ended up sharing a lobster roll and the fish chowder since they were out of the clam chowder. The thoughtfully cut the lobster roll in half for us, and the lobster was sweet, fresh, and plentiful. It had one piece of lettuce on the bottom that gave it a nice crunch and kept the lobster from making the bread mushy. The fish chowder hit the spot on that grey day. It was on the thicker side, which was fine with me but might bother those who prefer a thinner chowder. Overall, Chowders Café and Deli was a great, unpretentious place to take in the gorgeous scenery and have some simple delicious food.

I read the above review and decided to give this place a try since I also wasn’t very hungry write dinnertime. I opted for a combo– ½ panini and salad. I got the Lexi panini and garden salad. The ½ panini was huge and the salad came in a plastic container that was about 5″ square. My husband got a tuna melt and their soup of the day — Vegetable Maryland clam and he said it was Very tasty also. We also ate on the back deck. This is great!

Chowders Café is a very unassuming, unpretentious little spot for a quick bite on the Cove that’s probably easy to miss(or dismiss). It is located right by the Lobster Shack. I think it must have recently opened, since I found no references to it anywhere. With all the places to eat around there, I was a bit skeptical, but we didn’t feel like having a big lunch, so decided the give them a try. The interior décor and outside façade is plain and a bit dumpy, but don’t let that dissuade you. The shop has seating out front and inside, but a nice bonus is a small outdoor deck out back with a very nice private view, quiet and away from the foot traffic. You’d think you were in a hidden, secluded spot somewhere else other than Perkins Cove. I had their lobster roll and clam chowder combo for $ 17(which by the way, was a very reasonable price), and I was very pleasantly surprised how tasty it was. Lobster meat was generous, and served the usual way with a touch of mayo, but on a panini-press grilled bread. This was the third lobster roll I had this weekend, and it was the best one I had! The chowder was thick and flavorful, not at all watery thin and bland like many other places I’ve tried along the coast. I know… opinions on lobster rolls are plenty and everybody’s got one. My wife, who was tired of lobster by now(she’s had a roll or two already herself), ordered a chicken salad sandwich and it was HUGE! I tried to help her finish it and we both failed. Although I’m not a fan of chicken salad, it was very good. But the lobster roll was so good, she had to take a few bites of mine despite how full she was. The food, the outdoor deck, and very reasonable and unpretentious prices for everything on their menu, plus a friendly owner/staff, we’re glad we didn’t go to one of the more expensive places down the road. I hope they maintain this good recipe for success so that we can visit again next year.
